"I fell for a mountain man at first sight."
Penny has had an awful day. She's stuck in a small mountain town because her car broke down. She finds out she has to stay in town and wait for her car to be fixed, so she tries to make the best of it. The very next day, she's attacked by a mountain lion. That's when a big, burly mountain man saves her.
"I don't know how I'm going to keep her here, but I'm not letting her go without a fight."
Griffin falls for Penny at first sight, but he's hesitant to start anything because she's planning on leaving town. Will they somehow be able to make it work?

This was the first book I’ve read by Tessa and I’m excited to continue with the second book in this series. Griffin and Penny’s story was a quick read but I really enjoyed it! The story plot, characters, everything was really good. It had a very spicy scene that was hot, and I loved the reasoning behind Griffin naming Jo, the mountain lion.

This novella was SO Good! I loved it. This mountain man is so swoon worthy.
Penny and Griffin have such an over the top relationship that I just love. Penny gets into trouble and Griffin comes and saves her. There's a storm coming and he brings her to his cabin. There they spend a few days and their attraction is palpable. They dance around in it. Will their attraction win?
This book is amazing and has everything that I like otp man, spicy scenes ;), great characters, and a nice love story. I would totally recommend this book!.

I’m really hoping this is a new series! I was cracking up, but I also had to fan myself a bit. That HEAT 🔥

A hot mountain man, Griff, saves her & brings her home just before a storm. Sparks fly but both think the other couldn’t possibly be interested.
I LOVED Griff. He was sweet, gruff and a bit dirty, it was a perfect combo. Penny’s a smart alleck and has hilarious inner monologue.
My fav hilarious quote: The first time she sees Griff in town before heading up the mountain, she stops dead at the sight of him. To convince herself that he’s, not the man of her dreams:
“He probably clubs woodland critters in his spare time. Or maybe he enjoys munching on raw spaghetti at three in the morning.” 🤣🤣🤣

Penny's mother named her Penny because how lucky she felt having give birth to her. Penny always felt that she is the exact opposite of lucky. Most recently she was driving across the country to visit her sister and try her luck in colleges there. Her car totally breaks down in a small mountain village and she has to wait for the new mechanic to move to town at the beginning of the next week. Penny soon finds out that the mountain town is much better than she expected. The food is out of this world and she spots the mountain man of her dreams. The next morning she decides to go out on a hike. A slip and fall into the mud leaves her stuck with an injured ankle. To make things worse a mountain lion finds her and looks like it's going to attack. Penny screams for help and her dream mountain man comes to her rescue.
Griffin grew up in the small mountain town but he couldn't wait to go away to the big city and become a doctor. He was happy in the city until his mother had a terrible accident out hiking. Griffin returns home but loses his mother. Now Griffin is a reclusive mountain man until he meets Penny. Just one look at her and he knows they are meant to be together.

The overall idea is good , huge fit guy alone in his cabin life . Hot fit woman gets lost and he comes to her rescue and she must stay there until a storm has passed and the roads are clear. Both lust after each other but don;t want to come on too strong.
Nothing new and we know it works, until its written by someone who has never met a man in real life , ever!!!!!! So cant convey his thoughts consistently. "You’re a gem, Penny. You’re the most precious little gemstone I’ve ever seen. Bright and sparkling and gorgeous. You light up my fucking world. There’s not a damn thing in this world that shines brighter than you. And if you leave, I don’t know what I’ll do." This is an actual quote of the mountain mans thoughts.
And the woman is someone who is trying to be innocent or inexperienced but just comes across grossly immature " I’ve masturbated a few times before but it never did it for me. This novella is a super sweet and steamy over-the-top instalove mountain man romance. Penny has the worst luck in life and circumstances are no different on her travels. Her car breaks down in a Hallmark-like small town with a big storm on it’s way. As if things couldn’t get any worse, they do, when a mountain lion approaches Penny in the woods. Say what?! Griffin is a gruff mountain man that rescues sweet Penny and suddenly, luck is on her side. Both Penny and Griff are attracted to each other with insane chemistry as sparks immediately begin to fly. This book was a slower burn in the steam department but once they got to that point, it was intense and spicy. I just love swoon-worthy men obsessed with their woman! Definitely a fun and quick read.

This was a sexy and emotional read as two lonely people come together. Wildly attracted, they both have some hard times when it comes to the intimate side of things. His love of nature and solitude makes sense to her and she understands being tucked away with him is so special.
She believes she is having bad luck but that changes upon meeting a gorgeous literal mountain of a man. And then he whisks her away for some good times.
Man aced his anatomy tests, I'll bet you that! The two are good people who deserved happiness that is sometimes so elusive in this life. The writing is great, a story with hot scenes and a pair with their hearts connecting. I loved the start of this promising series. I previously read this as a part of a set I had gotten for free and I volunteered that review. I thought it only fair I mention that here and I volunteer this review as well. I hadn't left an in-depth review for each book but here it is for The Man of the Mountain.

Omg, I loved this book! If you love Mountain man tropes you've got to read this one! It sweet and spicy! The author makes it easy for you to be a fly on the wall and place you in the book. This is my first book by this author and definitely not my last.
Penny is an awkward, inexperienced woman who lands herself in trouble. Griffin is there to help out thank goodness, but he has skeletons in his closet too. They both help each other out in more ways than one. The attraction between the characters is awesome. Chapters 6 & 7 will melt you🌶🔥. I highly recommend this book especially if you need a reminder of what real❤ romance is. P.S. not for prudes😉

Love Mountain Men love stories
Griff certainly is built like a Mountain Man...yikes (in a good way). Penny was driving across country to live with her sister after not getting into medical school. She arrives into his town in a car that is breaking down. While walking around the town, she sees Griff and just stares at him. He feels it and sees her in the rearview mirror. The next day, she's goes on a hike up the mountain and gets injured. Griff to the rescue and the rest is history. Love the descriptions of the town, the people, his dog and Jo (A sweet little cat) and the waterfall. It's a good read, going onto the next story. Written by Cindy :)

Honestly, one of the best insta-love novellas I've read. There's some actual relationship building and the couple makes sense.
When Penny's car breaks down in a small town, she figures it's just more of her bad luck, but turns out it's like the best luck ever because she catches the eye of hunky mountain man Griff.
Even though this is a novella, I think the author did a lot to give these two a solid base. The have similar backstories and interests, so they feel strong even in a few chapters. I do think the "I love you"s were too soon and some of the things the MMC said to the FMC (precious gemstone? really?) were a bit too cheesy, but I'll definitely be reading more by this author.

Penny is cute and innocent, her unique personality comes through well with Tessa Klein's writing. This is a lovely start to the Mountain Men of Whispering Winds series.

Griff saves her from a mountain lion, and it will start an endearing journey between them. Griff takes one look at Penny and knows that she is his forever woman but when the towns people show up at his cabin will they take her away? This story kept me glued to the pages.

Fortunately, a very big mountain man appears and convinces the lion to retreat. Just like in the movies, the hero tosses her over his burly shoulder and takes her to his cabin where he tends her wounds and treats her like a queen. Will she consider staying with Griffin and starting a new life together?

Then she decides to go exploring nature, only to fall into a ravine and get "attacked" by a mountain lion. She gets rescued by a mountain man. He is instantly interested in keeping her around, but he does not want to harbor her dreams.

From the moment she crossed the boundary of this small mountain town, she’s had nothing but bad luck. Broken down car. The storm of the century is on its way. A MOUNTAIN LION ATTACK?! She’s convinced she’s cursed. But is saved in time. Her rugged savior throws her over his shoulder and whisks her away to his secluded cabin in the woods just as the storm rolls in. A fun read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.

Idc about trauma and dead parents, if anything dead parents are a smut buzzkill

Possessive caring massive mountain man? Yes please. Penny thinks she's unlucky but sometimes what seems that way turns into the luckiest thing that could have happened. Was a good quick read, perfect when you need a little treat to read. Will def be reading the rest of this series.

I loved this story! It was just the right amount of steamy loving and falling in love. I fell in love with the characters and the entire story made me smile and happy. Just a wonderful feel good book!

Who wouldn't want a Griffin in their life. My word, the size, and passion to go along with it. Penny's bad luck disappeared the day her car broke down in that little town.

This was a really good start to a new series. Griff and Penny. She is shy and meek and he's big and in her space. I love the OTT alpha males. He has met his match. She wants him. Penny thinks she is unlucky. Now het luck has changed.

Maybe a bit short? Loved the storyline. The mysterious Griffin lives in the mountains, hiding? Penny lucky or unlucky stumbles into town with car trouble. Loved the epilogue, you didn't leave us hanging <3
