How Long This Time? is a beginner chapter book for younger children. Nine year old MikeyÕs dad is in the Army. And when his dad has to leave, Mikey is sad and misses his dad very much. Mikey thinks he is the only boy whose dad leaves him. However, as time goes on, he comes to realize that he isnÕt the only boy whose dad has to leave. When MikeyÕs dad comes home, Mikey realizes he needs to make the best of their time together. P.S. Kesler hopes in writing this book, that children will realize they arenÕt the only ones who are going through these hard times. How Long This Time? will hopefully help those who are missing their mom or dad when they go off on a mission.
