Absyn is a dragon hybrid, but he isn't like the others of his kind--he can't breathe fire. Ten years ago, the Yomzai descended upon the earth and created an ice-age, parting the classes like the sea and stirring up more controversy within society than before. Stuck between both classes, Absyn decided to take out the Yomzai with his bare hands--a feat no one else had been able to do. The journey rips open scars once healed, but still he continues on. Is there truly worth to his life after all?

This was an amazing book. It was strange to start from the back and read to the front. It was a fun experience. It ended unexpectedly and I really want to read another one. The drawing was epic and I wash I could draw like that. K. Weikel is an amazing author and I really need to read more stuff written by her. I recommend this to everyone who likes fantasy books.
Move over, previous books on my top ten books of 2020, because one of you is getting kicked off to make place for this brilliant graphic novel. There is so much to love about this book and I don't know how to fully explain how much this did for me. I loved seeing the journey of K Weikel's art. Like, the beginning was good but as the book went on the art continued to progress and get better and better. By the end, it was so good and I can't wait to see what happens in the next couple volumes. The plot in this book is pretty easy to follow and it ends on an amazing cliff hangar. The characters were amazing and they had such chemistry and sass. This had such a fun squad. Overall, just an amazing book that I will read over and over again.
Reread: It has been, like, twenty days since I first read this book and I had to do a reread so I'm back to say that the second time was just as good. You see... the first time I read this, I got confused and started to read it backwards so I read half of it, started at the actual beginning, and reread half when I got to it. It was a mess. Anyways, reading it from the beginning and going all the way through was really helpful. I hope that more people read this because it really is a great graphic novel.
