Action, action and more action. So much progresses in this book and we are introduced to more characters including the sympathetic new wife and Lisa a Detective with the Houston Police Department. Lisa is a delight and the effect she has on several characters is so much fun to read about. The story gains more depth and the plot takes several twists and turns that had me swiping the pages to see what happens next. I am totally hooked and can't wait to get my hands on the next installment.

Abbey is waiting for her car to be repaired - which is taking longer than she thought.

She called her sister to let her know it would be while before she visited.

Abbey recently divorced was taking some time to process everything. She met Mindy who
befriended her and brought her home to wait until her car was repaired.

Abbey met Mindy's brother and her niece.

While at the house, Abbey's ex and girlfriend, a his lawyer appeared.

Everything gets all turned around and the Feds are called in. Abbey
meets Lisa (the cop) and explains the situation. Lisa finished her
investigation and found that Abbey appears innocent.

But.... things take a turn and a new investigation begins.

This has been an unusual read, but interesting read. You definitely can’t say it copies all other storylines. It is definitely one of it’s own. She had to put a lot of thought into writing this book. It’s field I found interesting & one that not everyone will copy. I love books that are different, therefore I enjoyed this series. It kept you on your toes because you didn’t know where she was going with it next. I like the strange family they created & the closeness they had come to share. I think you will enjoy this book because it is different & not like every other book out there. This series of books is different & I think you will enjoy it.

Great writing and very descriptive, especially at the end. Author describes and shows by the raw writing and one's envisioning the hearts and love they each hold in Roger and Abbey.

Love the addition of Dan and what a great character to bring out Abbey even more. Like how you ended the series remembering all of your unique characters in the finish.

This was a good series, Hayley. Enjoyed it very much.

Abbey has NO IDEA what he is talking about.
