Key West was never so weird as when seen through the eyes of a young street artist with charity in his heart and an errant cellphone in his head. The artist has nearly nothing himself, yet pledges to help those who have even less. His plan is noble but soon at risk from a beautiful woman with the most innocent eyes and a bank that sees more condos as the answer to any question.
All I can say is wow. This is a bit of a strange twist in this series. Not at all expected but a very enjoyable read. Everything comes together at the end and I recommend reading this book.
Robert Tacoma returns to Key West, but this time with a new main character. Sure, the gang from the earlier "Key..." books is here to add to the fun, but this time they play a supporting role to Dali, an itinerant street artist who returns to Key West to find himself in love, and his friends in danger of losing their homes and livelihoods.
The wacky antics of new characters as well as some familiar ones combine to make this book a fun, funny, fast read. Mr. Tacoma has expertly woven together enough of the previous stories to make this an excellent stand-alone book for anyone who has not read any of the other books of the "Key Weird" series while, at the same time, keeping the story moving for those familiar with Taco Bob and company.
The perfect addition to Tacoma's weird, quirky, and loveable series about the exploits of Taco Bob and his gang on the island of Key West. As always, I couldn't put it down. For anyone lookng for a fun read, particularly those who have experienced Key West firsthand, the books in this series are perfect for it!
After an excursion into Possum world back in Key West, for a leisurely exciting adventure from another perspective. A nice tool to move new characters in but still have the core present.
