Both of Stephanie's parents abandoned her when she was a teenager after years of physical & verbal abuse & neglect. At age 30 she sets out to heal herself and investigate the effects of immigrant trauma on the community. She learned how trauma can be inherited through generations. TOOK A LONG TIME TO FINISH

I hate “self-help” books. This was a survey of various methodologies for dealing with complex PTSD - as well as a look into Asian culture and families. It is a very interesting and thoughtful informational narrative.
