This story begins after after Naomi Spencer is taken from her home by Gavril Kirilenko's men thinking she is Sveta, Stanislav's daughter who he intends to marry and take over the Stanislav's Krasnaya Bratva. This story had so many twists and turns in this dark romance story that is full of suspense, passion, drama, deception and violent sexual behavior that may be a trigger for some. Naomi's nightmare will begin when she is brought in front of her new master, who is this sexy wicked ruthless Russian whose presence is cold and calculating. With her knowledge of the Russian language , Naomi finds that she will be acting out a role of a lifetime. Is the captive starting to have feelings for her captor as Naomi sees that Gravil is nothing like Jon who abused her years ago who still haunts her as she fears he will find her again.
After the wedding she is told by Gravil that he expects to get her with child so her father's men will come to him willingly. Gravil and Naomi will share a hot passionate wedding night as they have been fighting these intense feelings for each other, but things take a turn when Gravil learns that Sveta is not a virgin. Now Naomi has no choice but to tell this brutal man that the real Sveta is dead and the connection she has with Roman Marchetti and his wife Ilsa, will he end up killing her? Once the truth is revealed a violent Gravil tells her she will not ruin his plans as she will continue to be Sveta and give him an heir. When Gravil learns he is needed back in Russia , he decides to take Naomi with him as he finds he can't be apart from her. Will he be able to hide his business and the shipment he needs to secure in Russia that is bound to America from Naomi? A confrontation between Gravil's domineering mother who tries to intimidate both Gravil and Naomi doesn't end well when she tells her son that Naomi is a fake and that he is not strong enough to be a Pakhan. Mother and son are at odds until Gravil stands up to her and her threats until someone from the American Embassy arrives looking for Naomi/Sveta. Now Naomi fears her stalker has found her. Soon the dynamics change between them as feelings and desire will play a big part in their relationship.
Through all of this chaos, Naomi has fallen in love with Gravil but soon misunderstandings and doubt will tear these two apart when Naomi learns she is pregnant and goes to where Gravil is meeting with the Stanislav's Brigadiers. When she witnesses these men abusing women on the docks and sees that Gravil does nothing to stop the violence she becomes enraged and leaves. As a distraught Naomi returns to the mansion refusing Gravil's missed calls, she views her home once again a prison as a captive bride. Now Naomi vows to protect her child from this monster a man who is unable to love, he will soon learn that Naomi will not be blinded by love as she will prove to him that she is a strong tough woman. Will she endure this sham of a marriage to protect her child or will she be taken against her will when Jon finds her and proceeds with his plan to have her? Now we have to wait for the Book 2 in this dark, violent steamy romance story to learn what happens next.
Mixed feelings on this one! I can honestly say this story had many tropes that I hate and try to avoid as much as possible; this includes “traitorous” body, insta-love, forced pregnancy, etc. With this being said I still actually liked the story. I will admit I had to suspend some sense of reality when reading this, which I don’t like with this genre, because while they are all fiction, I still like them to be believable, otherwise I would read PNR or fantasy books. Spoilers….. I just can’t believe that a normal woman and one who has apparently suffered some type of trauma at the hands of a man, would so readily accept this situation. She acted like she feared her life and that’s why she didn’t tell them immediately about her identity, but even after the truth came out, she still allowed him to use her as he pleased and other than a few tears, she accepted everything fairly easy. Like huh? 🧐 A stranger kidnaps you, sexual assaults you twice (before the wedding and the night of), rapes you, with you knowing his main intent is to get you pregnant and you don’t even try to escape the situation or prevent the pregnancy? Yes it’s futile, but in most cases like this the women immediately goes and try to wash/flush away as much semen as they can to reduce the odds of pregnancy. Instead this girl is upset that he doesn’t stay and hold her 🤨 Like seriously is your life that bad where you want to be knocked up by a strange man in which you don’t even know if he has any STD’s or other diseases. Not to mention you haven’t even tried to scope out the place for a potential escape or ask for an outing with the intent of sneaking off? While there were time jumps, it still didn’t make sense how she started “falling” for him so quickly. Like it literally said for the first 3 weeks he only seen her at night, used her like brooding mare, and then left. So how is it then that a few weeks after that you develop all these feelings with so few meaningful encounters. The stalking part also made no sense; You have a stalker, but you are a social media “influencer” posting your locations and details about your life. Wouldn’t that mean you are practically giving him all the information he needs to find you? There is a mystery/suspense element to the story, especially with Jon, so I will continue with the series as I liked it, it just wasn’t very believable on many aspects.

This is book one of the Belaya Bratva series and the beginning of Naomi and Gavril's story. Be prepared for a cliffhanger ending since this is just the beginning. Gavril wants to absorb the Krasnaya Bratva into the Belaya Bratva, in order to do that he must marry Stansilov Orlov's daughter, Sveta because she is his only remains heir. What Gavril doesn't know is that Sveta was killed before her father died and Gavril's men mistakenly grabbed Naomi Spencer thinking she was Sveta. What will happen when Gavril finds out the truth and what lengths will he go to in order to keep her true identity a secret? This is a great story so far and I am wondering if Gavril can redeem himself in Naomi's eyes when she finds out what kind of monster he truly is.
I can’t get behind this story, there’s not much to the plot other than her incessant need to be acknowledged by him despite marrying under a different identity. She was kidnapped, but she cares more about her attraction to the male lead than her supposed “life” where she had family and friends who care about her. She’s described with a hint of fire in her but she succumbs to “everything.” Amateur plot, amateur characters, we don’t even get a development in their relationship because there’s just no friction there, she’s easy and he’s bland. It’s like BAM, they love each other. The male leads character is like a doormat that thinks himself mighty and great. Definitely do not recommend.
I didn’t expect the book to be this disturbing and am writing this review to remind myself to avoid this author in the future. I had read two other bratva books by this author that included some dark elements but were not this revolting. I was concerned with the rape (or dubious consent) between main characters at the beginning but hoped that would be the worst of it. At the end, the hero is a human trafficker who “gifts” women to his employees and passively watches the women immediately be brutally raped and beaten. I am no stranger to dark mafia and what it entails but this was pretty disgusting and not what I am looking for in romance. The writing and character development weren’t great either.

A great start to this series there is interest intrigue and red hot romance what more do you need? Naomi was going to pretend to be a Mafia Don's daughter Sveta this girl was unfortunately murdered but word didn't get out and she is kidnapped believed to be the girl and is forced into marriage to Gavril who intends to use her to take control of her fathers Bratva. Both begin to care for each other and the truth does come out but they continue with the deception what will happen when the truth becomes open knowledge and she has discovered things about her husband that she hates and an unexpected twist in the tale appears. Can't wait to read the next book
This was a great start to Gavril and Naomi’s story. Naomi is pretending to be Sveta, a Pakhan’s daughter. He is planning on taking over and become the new Pakhan and by marrying Naomi(Sveta) he will be able to do that. This is a dark read with many twists and turns. There is also action, secrets, suspense, lust, and some revelations. What will happen if Gavril finds out the truth of who Naomi is? I love dark mafia reads and this one is off with a bang. I can’t wait for the next part of this story.
I had to stop reading when I got to section where the trafficked women were being brutally raped. I’m sorry, I know it’s a mafia theme book, but I never suspected that the “hero” would allow such a thing to happen.
All other mafia books I’ve read abhor flesh peddling (e.g. author Michelle Heard). I don’t care what it meant for the future of the Bratva storyline, this is just an ABSOLUTE NEVER , EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER for me.

Great book about a woman who fakes who she really is
This was the first book for this couple who were married because he thought she was the daughter of a former mafia don who was killed, we follow the journey of how they start to fall in love. She finds out she is pregnant so she goes to the docks and finds out he traffics woman and also at the end her stalker finds her, oh I can't wait for book 2,
This story of an arranged marriage of a powerful Bratva don to the daughter of the rival Bratva don is quite a surprise. The woman after she was kidnapped to force-marry the don, is falling for him and she has the feeling that he too feels the same. But something she saw him do has now changed her mind. The epilogue promises an exciting second book I can’t wait to dig into.
It was a struggle to start. Something’s it seemed the author was confused on where she was at. But I didn’t think it was brought to ruin the book. Is you read the Marchetti series’s it ties into this book. It helps fill in some blank spots. All in all I loved this book, I can’t wait to start the 2nd on.
This is more than an arrangement mafia marriage. There are so many of my favorite troupes to discover along the way. It kept my attention and I love that although it’s a cliffy there’s an epilogue. Very excited read fast paced with some darkness. Check your TW if you have them.
Dnf 82%, bored from the start, I already wanted to dnf halfway through the book but Gavril (or whatever the MMC is called)’s sisters helped me to make it till 82%. Too much smut, basic plot « I can’t have feelings I’ve been hurt in the past/ I need to breed her ». I was really looking forward to this book because it was so high rated but rn I’m disappointed.
Great start to this series. I was glued to each page. The book begins with a bang and kept moving in an active pace. The thing I like the most about this book was that time was taken to really get to know the main characters. It was very thorough. I highly recommend this book.
at first i thought this was decent but it honestly just got worse. it left off on a cliffhanger so i had to read the second book. but it didn’t live up to my expectations of a mafia book. it seemed like a good written wattpad and a bad written published book.
The end just solidified what her husband is all about and the debate of can I love someone like that. I feel bad for her. The end also brings in a separate pot not sure it’s one I am going to like. I will read the next
This series definitely will keep you reading. Belaya Bratva with Gavril and Naomi is one that has s deep and dark but love is tangled with chemistry. A connection that change from enemy to lovers and so much more.
I enjoyed this book trying to understand how he got it so wrong She was older than the woman he should have got but at no time did she feel like a victim She defiantly has secrets which I can't wait to find out that they are Being on book 2
I was a little disappointed with this first book in the new series. After the last series which was filled with lots of suspense sex anxiety angst this one fell flat. But I will go on the book too and see if it gets better.
I can't help it, I found this book totally uninteresting. I found myself not caring about either character. There is absolutely no way that I need to read book two and definitely not book three. Shirley
Arranged marriage. I liked the characters and enjoyed the story. No cheating. No major drama. Will read next book since this one ended on a cliffhanger
