Not gonna lie, I will have to re-listen to this book as I’ve been incredibly sleep deprived this first time around, but I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know another Chester Falls character! I liked Indy before this book, as he’s appeared in the previous ones, but I just saw him as an easygoing man who runs a cafe. There’s so much more to him that we get to see in this story. Of all the MCs so far, I feel like he’s most like Tom, but dialled down a bit and with more anxiety and clear abandonment issues.
Discovering that Tristan has a twin was a twist I didn’t predict—but in a good way! With his own issues and insecurities, Tate was a really interesting character too. Throughout the book, he starts to work through his own issues and I love that for him! I loved that their relationship was somewhat slowburn and that there was never any pressure from either of them to speed things up. When they did get together, it felt completely right for them, not rushed or anything, which I adored!
It was also really nice to see so many of the other characters back, the ones who live in Chester Falls at least, and I adore how close they are and how protective they are of each other! They really are the definition of found family 🥰
How to Catch the Boss: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
A cute little Christmas novella in the Chester Falls series - where two childhood friends now both work for the royal family of Lydovia!
Love a friends to lovers story, and especially when it’s a “best friend’s brother” trope, with forced proximity due to a snow storm and only one bed!
I loved how both Ryan and Luca were completely oblivious to the other reciprocating their feelings, and that it took some meddling from their friends and family for them to see it. A very sweet addition to the series overall!
How to Catch a Biker: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Absolutely loved this addition to the Cheater Falls series!!
We met Aiden back in book 2, as Wren’s best friend in San Diego, and later found out that he is a popular MM romance author, and although we didn’t really get to know him much, I’m so happy Ana wrote a story for him! Slade has made an appearance earlier in the series as well, and I thought their chemistry was excellent!! There’s also quite a bit of drama and backstories that get revealed throughout the story, which made for a really excited read!! Bonus points for a lost kitten that also gets a happy ending with the latest hot couple in Chester Falls - there’s no denying that this series as a whole is my latest feel-good obsession!!
How to Catch a Vet: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Oh my sweet Micah - I could identify with him so much!!! His anxiety and insecurities about his body, his experience with bullies in school, finding it difficult to talk to people, feeling like everyone else were getting ahead of him in life... I just want to hug him and befriend him!! It was lovely to see Santi again too after the holiday novella he appeared in earlier, and the I much appreciate the disability rep! I also absolutely adore all the pets and their ever-growing family!!
Also this quote at the end, thank you Ana 💖 "I knew that, just like Charlie caught his prince, Tom caught his rival, Connor caught his bodyguard, Indy caught his bachelor, and Aiden caught his biker, so had I caught my own, sexy vet." It really just brought the whole series together!!
How to Catch a Happy Ever After: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
HAPPY EVER AFTERS ALL AROUND!!!
Tom and Wren are getting married, which brings all the boys back to Chester Falls! Every couple from the series gets a snippet of their life revealed in this glorious seventh book of the series, narrated by the majority of the main characters from all the previous books and short stories! A new couple gets to share their story too, with Rory and Sergei having their moments in-between all the wedding chaos!
I absolutely loved this collection of characters and how we got to see all of their HEAs in this story. I absolutely will be listening to this series on repeat, as it’s such a funny and feel-good collection of stories!!
Also massive kudos to Nick Hudson and his narration, and how he so expertly managed to give each character their own distinct voice throughout the series!
Ana, if you see this and if you’re planning more stories in this series at any point in time, I’d love to hear Blubble’s story!!!
I loved the first volume (mostly) but this one had more of the kind of relationships I love to see. Idk. That makes very little sense, because I love seeing the ones in the first volume, too, but these were more my speed than the others…
Inside thoughts are not outside thought-ing. I’m sorry. At least you can just not read them. I have to sit with them 24/7.
Aside from the editing feeling like a bad AI program hack job, some weird inconsistencies here and there, and sometimes feeling like the spice wasn’t accurate to how it is in real life, the stories were wonderful, the characters were my favs, and the last book was perfect for tying things up neatly and setting up for future series and cameos. Coming to it from the short that was in Elite Connections, I knew I’d enjoy it, but I didn’t realise I’d get attached so quickly.
3.75/5 (overall). I will be moving on to the spin-off series asap. Also, Aiden and Slade and Santi and Micah > everybody else. I will definitely take questions, but can’t guarantee coherent answers.
Mostly the standard HEA. Good characters you would want to get to know (and a few you might want to strangle for excessive perkiness.) Check my review of the first bundle also. Same ‘criticisms’ apply.
This second half of the Chester Falls Collection was equally as amazing as the first and I especially loved the last story which wrapped up all the couples futures. Highly recommended.
