Shawnee Turner left her home, family and friends to start a new life on a Colorado ranch. When the ranch sold she was forced to return to her Texas hometown and the job she left behind.
Emory Creek owned the sale barn. Anxious for his one true love to return he had to come up with a plan to convince her he was the man for her.
This book starts out really strong, involving the reader immediately in the lives of the main characters. Can't help but want to keep reading, and there are many powerful and amazing scenes in this story. The frustrating part for me was the many gaps left in the plot line. Stuff that helps to develop the relationship between the characters. I was so sucked in the beginning, I was disappointed when it seemed I was missing out on key points.
I realize it's a novella, and so there isn't as much room for expanding all the details, but with a story this good, it certainly wouldn't hurt to add those in and make it into a full length novel. I want to know what I missed!
This is a sweet contemporary western romance, a cozy/beach read. A novella, not too long and not too short. Its a story about twin sisters working at a sales barn where they find romance and tragedy strikes them once again. I don't want to give away anything so can't say much more other than I did enjoy reading this story!
