Way of Whiteness

Deeply personal as well as visionary and funny, this collection is reminiscent of both Plath and Thoreau.

2017: I knew I had read some of these poems, but I forgot I had read this collection in its entirety before. Just purchased it recently and reread.

2009: Loved this. It was intimate without being sentimental. It was alternately lush and dry. Funny and serious. Holy. Very personal. I wish reading great poetry made me feel inspired instead of just crappy about my own work.

I may be slightly biased b/c I know the author, but...whatever. These really resonated with me. Made me want to give up my spare, scientific style and get more personal and mythy.
