Justice is back!! In her hometown of Chicago, she is trying to live a normal life for once. But as demons from her past start to rear their ugly heads she is forced to confront them head on. Beneath her shrewd business persona lies a dangerous woman who will stop at nothing for revenge. Will she be willing to risk everything she has worked so hard to establish for one last showdown with Tan, the woman who killed her brother or will she let her demons rest? Carlos, a vicious drug dealing murderer from Charlotte is out to get rich by any means necessary. Although his treacherous ways causes him to have a hardened heart, he still can't stop thinking about the one woman he truly cared about (Justice). Although he had accused Justice and her brother of the robbery that sent him on a bloody rampage, he was somewhat relieved once he found out she really didn't have anything to do with it. He vows to make amends with her but a vengeful enemy stands in his way! Tandora, the Dominican drug dealer from New Jersey finally has Charlotte on lock!!! Nothing or no one will stand in her way of becoming the queen bitch of the Queen City. When she hears that Justice has resurfaced, she knows a showdown is inevitable! When they finally meet face to face after two years, its kill or be killed. Sapphire has recovered from her coma and remembers everything that happened that fateful night she was beaten by Carlos' men. She tells the detectives NOTHING. She's changed her life and learned that "forgiveness" is epic! She holds no grudges toward the men who attacked her...or does she? As these lives intertwine you will be on the edge of your seat to see who makes it out alive!!
The smoke has cleared and the war in Queen City left a lot of work for the coroner. But there may be MORE slow singing and flower bringing!
So Justice has headed to the Midwest to start over, grieve her brother’s death, deal with all that transpired and lay low. That’s what Justice wants but that’s not necessarily what Justice may get. Revenge is on everyone’s mind. Justice wants Tan dead. Tan wants Justice dead. Red wants Justice dead. Justice wants Carlos dead. Carlos wants Red dead.
Bottom line…you know somebody or somebodies is gonna end up dead, but finding out how author Mike Sanders will steer to that ending keeps readers hooked. Full of action, memorable characters, and some surprises, “Thirsty II” packs a punch. As with its predecessor, the stage is set and the plot is heavily character driven. The characters are on a crash course and it’s impossible to look away, yet you hate to see the book come to an end.
Mike Sanders has found the formula for writing about the grit, grime and violence of the streets but in an entertaining way. And he does so without having to resort to shock tactics, gimmicks or the cliché. Also, a fan of the TV show The First 48, I loved Mike’s incorporation of their filming in Charlotte-Mecklenburg in this story. The only problem with “Thirsty II” is what I consider a conclusion too hasty for my liking. Overall, it was a great read.
Four books, count ‘em (Hustlin’ Backwards, Snitch, Thirsty, Thirsty II), and Mike is still making it do what it do.
This was really one of my Favorite series ! It seems like you get farther just to get pushed back 10 Steps . I was rooting for Justice this whole book and hated some chain of events occured but I guess that's what happens when you living in the streets . I definetly recommend Thirsty and Thirsty 2 to everybody to read ,
This series kept me on the edge of my seat. I never expected that ending. Great job Mike Sanders, I am definitely going to be on the lookout for more of your titles in the future
REVENGE! Readers first met these characters in part one of Mike Sanders' "Thirsty". In part 2, Justice is the owner of her own legitimate business, but Justice has some unfinished business with the past that needs to be put to rest, and her desire to avenge her brother Monk's death grows with each passing day.
Carlos now knows he was wrong about Justice and her best friend Sapphire and regrets what went down. Carlos still loves Justice and has tried to get next to her but she is not so forgiving! On the other hand Sapphire has recovered from her ordeal and has forgiving Carlos.
But sitting in the cut waiting for the right time to make a deadly strike is Tandora (Tan) she hates Justice with a serious passion. And then there is Red who has his own personal reasons for wanting Justice dead, on the flip side, stick up kid Red needs to watch his back because Tan will cut him down if he crosses her path!
So the chase is on and the double crossing is at an all time high!! Who will take out whom first? And what will be the consequences? You’ll want to be on the front line when a shocking act rocks Justice to her very core!!
A solid follow up to part one with this story of revenge, I really like the character Justice. She may have been stressing and even confused internally on whom to trust, but her public persona was cool, calm and collected...please don't cross her, she won’t think twice on taking you out!
The Skype conversation between Justice and Sapphire revealed a side to Sapphire that Justice never knew. And I was very surprised that Justice didn’t pick up on that. I wish the author had given a little more food for thought into what was REALLY going on in her Sapphire's mind, instead of the big surprise at the end, leaving me with more questions than answers.
Still, I was all up in this vividly good read!

Justice is baaack with a vengeance! I soooo love this character and to be honest, I wanted more! This book is a great follow-up to the first part and every unanswered question was answered. Mike Sanders has spun yet another tale of treachery, lust and deceit! The ending blew me away! I can only hope that there will be a part 3 coming soon. I Promise, you will not regret reading this book. If you enjoyed part one as much as I did, you will definitely enjoy this one. Kudos Mike! Keep 'em coming!
I wish there was a Thirsty 3 coming. I would like to know what becomes of Justice. I was shocked at Sapphire her best friend. It's one think to talk about forgiveness to others and not be able to forgive yourselves.
Wow!! This book was better than the first one. I hate that Carlos died and that Justice killed her best friend, but she did get revenge for her brothers death.
