Ira Ishida

Ira Ishida (石田衣良) is a Japanese novelist, actor, and TV commentator.

After graduating from Seikei University, he worked for a number of different advertising production companies and as a freelance copywriter. In 1997, he published his first novel, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, which won the 36th All Yomimono New Mystery Writer's Prize. In 2003, he won the Naoki Prize for 4-Teen.

His novels describe the culture of young people in Japan, particularly young women and otaku without a college education. Many of his works have been adapted for manga and television. As an actor, he made his first appearance in a leading role in the 2006 film Love My Life.

Ishida's pen name, Ishida Ira, was derived by splitting his real family name Ishidaira.

Un peu moins bien que le 2, mais mieux que le 1. Le personnage de Makoto est finalement assez attachant, et le monde de ces romans est bien construit

What a pleasure to meet again with Makoto and his Ikebukuro stories, I enjoyed this one too and the subject was very interesting. can't wait to find the volume 2!

看电视剧的时候骨音就是我记忆最深的一个故事,十几年之后读了原著,这本仍充满了冲击力,比起骨音,最后的仲夏rave更具有代表性。和前两本相比,这本的肆无忌惮和歇斯底里好像又上了一个层级,虽然后面还有无数部,但很难相信会有所超越了,毕竟这时的石田也是正青春 哈哈

Troisième volume de la série des Ikebukuro West Gate Park.
Celui-ci n'est pas aussi bien que le 1er ou même le sympathique second mais il se lit bien, vite (fait en deux jours et demi) et c'est toujours un plaisir de retrouver l'adorable Makoto.
Le seul défaut est sans doute le coté un peu prédicable de l'histoire. On sait comment ça va se finir très vite et on est pas très surpris en refermant le livre.

Ishida Ira reste un auteur que j'aime beaucoup. Ecriture fluide et simple et pour peu que vous connaissiez bien Ikebukuro et Tokyo en général, vous aurez des frissons de nostalgies à lire ces pages-là. Parce que l'auteur a très bien compris ce quartier et le retranscrit à la perfection!
