This second chance can't be wrong when it feels too right
Wicked Temptation by Barbara Nolan is a whirlwind second chance romance that is not short on details or merging past into present. I was immediately immersed and enthralled with Samson and Lisbeth. It's a jolt to their senses and their present as neither could ever forget the past.
I loved this author's blending of the Serpents MC series characters for support with this new series. It's a wonderful element for me, but not confusing if new to the author. The plot mirrors the second chance element in that the past plays a significant part in the present for both Samson and Lisbeth. Despite the threats and dangers posed in the past, Samson holds tight to Lisbeth in the present, refusing to let go again. While Lisbeth fights with herself, her supposed perfect future is all a lie. This eye opener shines a more favorable and realistic light on all her feelings for Samson. And really, every interaction with Samson felt so very right, so no matter what it can't be wrong.
Overall, I love Samson for Lisbeth and Lisbeth for Samson. Despite the danger, hurt and pain from the past, their love never waned. Nothing nor no one can stop them. And Samson, he's determined to give Lisbeth the world right along with their HEA.

When two paths cross again ❤️
This is book one of this series, told in dual third person POV and leaves you with a HEA. The drama of the story and the chemistry between the characters were great. The scenes from the Serpents had me smiling and laughing while reading about Samson and Lisbeth navigating their second chance.
I loved that Samson and Lisbeth had a history. I love that during their time apart, they both were able to make something of themselves. I loved that Lisbeth, for the most part, stood her ground with Samson even when she had her doubts about her perfect life. I love that Samson was determined to not let go of Lisbeth this time around. I also applaud his ability to stay sober for himself and Lisbeth when the stress becomes to much.
The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 star review was that I didn’t really connect with the characters. It wasn’t because of the story not being good or Barbra Nolan not being a good author. I have read books by her before and those books were written in third person POV. I loved them. Since the last book of hers I’ve read, I’ve started reading more dual first person POV stories. I have figured out that I connect with the story better in first person POV than third person. Regardless, this was still a great read and I cannot wait to dive deeper into this series!

Wickedly Good!
What an amazing start to a new series by one of my favorite authors. She knocked it out of the park and I got to see some of my favorite serpents too
New York bad boys move to Vegas and even though they tried to escape the baggage it followed suit.

I was super excited when I saw this was a spin off from an MC series. I am always looking for an MC series so now I want to jump back and read that entire catalog especially after meeting the characters in this series. (Serpents MC Las Vegas if you are looking for one too. But I also have my eye on Boa…just saying.)
I am also a HUGE lover of 2nd chance which this book has from jump. Samson and Lisbeth are a bomb of chemistry from the first time we see them together …at her bachelorette party no less. They are both transported in time to when he broke her heart. She has no clue why and he keeps that secret close to the chest until toward the end of the story but que the AWWWW When I read it. Yes, Samson is a swoon worthy Alpha Male who will beat the crap outta a dude, wash off the blood his hands, and then attack your lips in his office 5 minutes later. But that is why we love them. AmIRight???
Samson and Lisbeth have A LOT to get through. History, miscommunication, oh and that pesky douche bag fiancée. That is kinda a big one for Lisbeth. They also have to deal with people trying to destroy all that Samson and his partner Nick have built.
I am loving the series and the characters in it. Jax has me looking at him saying HEEY you. He might be broken on the outside with is scary scars buuuut those are the yummiest of men IMO. Nick. I don’t know about him. His heart is so broken. It is going to take a special lady to open him up. Perhaps Willow???? I mean her free spirit could be that woman. But not Daria please and thanks. #SayNoToSkanks
I am waiting for book 2 and cant wait to see who is the next alpha to fall.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "WICKED TEMPTATION" I thoroughly enjoyed this first book in the new "Mayhem Makers" series it's full of suspense, intrigue, danger, second chance at love, steam, secrets, angst, rivals, twists you can't put down your pulled right into all the chaos.
Samson gets out of the NYC Mafia starting over with opening his new Club Wicked in Las Vegas letting go of his haunted past when someone he had a past with is celebrating her bachelorette party Lizbeth & he went their seperate ways years ago but the chemistry is still there.
Lizbeth is engaged to a very wealthy powerful vindictive man who terrorizes her when she breaks off the engagement saying he close the Club as well, Samson will do anything to protect her but will asking for the Mafia he left to help him make it worse for them.
I definitely recommend to get this amazing riviting, intense, action packed second chance at romance journey that Samson & Lizbeth take you on, wool they get their HEA when all is said & done.
It's a must read you don't want to kiss getting with great interesting characters you can't get enough of, I'm so looking forward to next book in this new series. AWESOME ROMANCE 🖤 🖤 🖤 LOVED IT 🖤

This is a spin off from the regular MC series, and I loved it. Both Samson and Lisbeth have a dark past and went their separate ways about 10 years ago when Samson kicked Lisbeth to the curb so to speak. Samson was into organized fighting and drugs of pretty much any variety. Ten years later, he has cleaned up is act and opens a nightclub in Vegas. Lisbeth is there celebrating her bachelorette party and the story takes off from there. While I didn't read the MC series, I'd certainly like to go back as some of the characters make an appearance in the book. This is more of a slow burn romance, but given the storyline, it was understandable. I'm hoping that Nick, his partner will be next! I received an ARC copy.

I couldn’t stay away too long as the last book ends in a bit of a cliffhanger and I needed to know what happened to Samson and Lisbeth. Whew, the first scene in the Vegas club, off the charts WTH. I really liked seeing how both Samson and Lisbeth have grown in the past ten years – more mature but still quite taken with each other. The buildup is perfection. Will they, won’t they, how can they not. The tension is off the charts. There is lots of angst which is totally my jam. I am going to continue with Nick’s duet shortly.
I have read one story in the Serpents MC series and because they feature prominently in this book, I need to go back and read them all. Interconnecting stories are great.

Wow, Samson and Lisbeth.!!!! Loved these two. Totally wicked together😉
Both came from a hard life, but thanks to Samson trying to save her from his life, Lisbeth got away from it all and made something of herself. Then fate stepped in 10 years later.
These two had a connection nothing would stop and this time Samson wasn’t letting anything in his way.
I loved all the characters and that the Serpents made a very strong appearance. I truly enjoy when authors can make side characters just as important as the main characters.
I look forward to seeing them further and the future and following Nicks downfall into his own HEA.

This is book #2 in the Club Wicked Series. It continues ten years later from when Wicked Addiction ended with a cliffhanger. It’s a second chance, mafia romance. There’s danger, secrets, drama, and unexpected twists in this intense, sexy romance Samson and Lisbet are perfect for each other. I loved the well developed plot. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

Not a fan of either of the main characters. Their relationship was purely physical, even once they reunited. The drama with Lisbeth’s fiancé was pretty ridiculous as well. I would have rated it 2 stars if not for Madeline (and Boa).

What a ride!
Hold on tight! This one kept me up late. Samson and Lisbeth grabbed my hand and would not let go. Much better ending than the first book in this duet. I am officially a fan of Barbara Nolan. Well done! 🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤

The end was a bit rushed for me, I had enjoyed book 1 and the first half of book 2. The way things ended was too convinient for my liking which spoiled the suspense aspect of the book.

Read it in one day. The twists were unexpected and angsty. The character development created visuals so great it played like a movie in my mind!

This was quite the story. Samson and Lizbeth had a connection that survived through the years. Twists from the past and the present tried to keep them apart, with danger around threatening more than that. Lizbeth was a strong woman, willing to work for her love. Samson had his doubts about things working out, but I loved his ability to remain sober for himself and Lizbeth. Steamy moments in between the action made this one hot story. I look forward to the next one in the series.

I really enjoyed this book. It had great characters and a very intriguing story line. I liked jumping in and going for w ride with these characters.
The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is that I never did emotiknally connect to the book.
I want to dive more into this world and learn more about some of the other characters.
