Inevitable Consequences

Rate this book
The Bayou sisters are learning difficult lessons of secrets held onto far too long.

The secret that has haunted Grace for thirty years is now forcing her hand to make choices between her daughter and a man who might be the true love of her life.

Fed up with waiting for Grace to tell her the truth, Alexis takes matters into her own hands. With Keith’s support, she will embark on a journey of discovery regarding her father. The unearthed secrets will be unsettling in ways she is unprepared to reckon with.

As events unravel, Leslie finds her marriage and family caught in the crosshairs. As she shifts her focus to reclaim a part of herself that she’s lost, she meets someone who could threaten the inheritance and jeopardize the newfound freedom she desperately fights to hold onto.

But second chances come at a cost, and Mackenzie is finding out the hard way she won’t be able to start over without facing her shadowy ghost of the past.

Hello, I am Tess. A true romantic who believes in family, sisterly bonds, friendship, second chances, and happily ever after. I write women's fiction, contemporary small-town, later in life, and second chances romance with a southern charm.

I live in sunny Florida with my old kitty I inherited from an ex-boyfriend. (He is the absolute boss, I am just his servant.)

I am in a long-distance relationship with my French boyfriend, enjoying a later-in-life, second-chance romance. I may write a book someday about our super romantic story too.

This next book in the series was incredible. The way that Tess ended the second book with each sister dealing with something different and all intertwined made me impatient for this third book. Each sister's situation was further developed and went in areas I didn't even think possible. There was healing in relationships between them all but there is more because Tess did not solve any of their situations. They developed further. This is a great series on family relationships. I am loving it.

Inevitable Consequences is the third book in this series which finds the sisters continuing to reel from their secret disclosures. Unfortunately the sisters must also face the changes their revelations make to their lives. There is one more book in this series.

The sister's saga continues with second chances. This delightful book is full of secrets and adventure. The sister's characters are endearing and each has their own interesting twist going on. This is a well written series and I'm enjoying each book.

Inevitable Consequences by Tess Flowers is a good, and enjoyable later in life second chance romance read with some family drama. This book is the third story in The Bayou Sisters series and this series needs to read in order. The story has a great entertaining story line. The characters are great, wonderful, and they have great chemistry. This story is a very entertaining second chance romance read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Bayou Sisters:
These are clean books with no vulgar language or mild cursing and no sex. And no editing; please, Tess, edit the fourth book. Sources: Bookfunnel and Booksprout (books 1 - 3).

Where It All Began, Prequel - A quickly read, interesting introduction to the Bayou sisters, of DeRidder, Louisiana, and their men. 4*

Closely Guarded Secrets, #1 - Cliffhanger. Actually, I believe as short as this story is, it is an installment. Otherwise, the dysfunctional sisters and their stories are interesting enough to keep reading. Sadly, this book needs better editing. Lowercase proper nouns, Mama, Daddy, the South, etc., and the messed up Southern sayings are just some of the distractions. 3*

Secrets Revealed, #2 - The smirking continues full force. Many bad things come to surface and bad behavior abounds between the sisters. Editing would be a good thing. 3*

Inevitable Consequences, #3 - The mild cursing kicks in as the heat rises for the sisters. Things are set into motion and it will take one more story before this series of cliffhangers finds completion. The fourth book is due out 09/2023, so it may be worth the wait to get all four books. 3*
The Bayou Sisters end.

I am loving this series and very much looking forward to book 4. But I notice a little more editing would be helpful. I find many sentences missing a word.
