What i initially thought was an in depth guide through the different eras of dress and fashion, didn't expect to end up receiving lengthy essays on why and how the study of fashion matters. But i still learn something from this book along the way.

A book on the history of fashion history. How is was and is studied, who studies ir, how it is studied. UK focused with some information on US fashion history. Opinionated and tart, well illustrated.
