All she wanted was one last summer at the beach house...
When the unthinkable happens and Claire Thompson’s husband dies suddenly, she’s left wondering how to go on. Being a wife and mother is all she’s ever known. Grieving and lost, she decides to take her family for one last trip to their beach house before she’s forced to put it up for sale. The house is filled with happy memories, and it seems like a great way to remember Bryan.
But as she soon finds out, Bryan was harboring some complicated secrets. The kind that will change the lives of Claire and her daughter. And those secrets come to light while Claire is at the beach house, shattering her memories and making her realize she never really knew her husband.
How does she move forward with these new revelations? How will her daughter cope? What will become of them now that they know Bryan wasn’t the man they thought he was?
Claire can only pray things work out for them during their last summer at the beach house.
I loved this story as well as all the previous stories in this series! Kudos to Author Miller for being able to keep so many main characters well-characterized and engaging.
I can't wait for the next book in this series. I am glad we are through the wedding but I have am so ready for the salon and bakery to open and for Jules's song to hit the charts. Can't say I much care about Conrad, Margo or Dinah. I want to know more about Kat's job too. Hurry with the next t book!!!
I've enjoyed this series of books, highly fantastical but ok. I do have a bone to pick though. Why in the world does the author think its needed to pull some harpy style gossipy remark about Richard Simmons!??
How absolutely rude, trashy and unnecessary! Made this book completely tarnished. You should be ashamed to think its necessary. Made rating go from a decent 3 star rating to a one star.
This is the next installment of the ongoing adventures of the mixed and varied Thompson family. Thrown together by a cheating husband, the families continue bridging gaps and relationships, becoming a family despite the circumstances bring them together. It’s heartwarming, touching, light-hearted, and signifies the bonds that make a family.
Everything is coming together for these characters. The wedding was beautiful. I can still picture the cake in my mind. I'm interested in seeing where the rest of the characters are heading. My only beef is that each book leaves you with a cliffhanger. I'm already reading the next book in the series.
Loving the continued story and Roxie, Claire and the life they are blooming in after their husband passes away and they discover the betrayal to both of their families. These women and their families show what real strength and perseverance can do at any stage of life.
This is the best series I've read in along time. The wedding was beautiful the cake sounded like a dream come true. The ladies are finding there ways and romance is in the air. Can't wait for the next book.
Finally some conclusion on "work in progress". The couples are getting it together with commitment and/or marriage. The age range makes it very interesting!
📸 I wasn't sure when I started these books if I would like them as much as other series I had read but they are sweet and fun.I recommend them highly. xbtVtTDTqkJifrKREl&id=634227946&mibextid=ZbWKwL
Maggie Miller has done it again. This was a great book. We have a wedding, relationships growing, businesses getting ready to start, and naturally, there has to be one or two people who play the part of the rotten apple and try to ruin people's lives. This was a must-read.
This book was so exciting wIth Pauline showing up with the baby and all the preparation for the wedding. The drama for all of the couples meeting. I am looking forward to reading Maggie Miller's next book.
I can not get enough if this series . Love the setting . All the characters separate stories and together stories. How everyone is finding their happiness and happiness with a love interest.
