Horse sense and Sensibility is a good mystery written by Nancy Mehl in the Sugarcreek Amish Mystery series. The author takes her readers on another crazy journey to solve this mystery. Horses are being stolen in the village of Sugarcreek and Cheryl Cooper and Naomi Miller are hot on the trail with a growing list of suspects. As each suspect is cleared Cheryl is at a loss as to the real criminal. Cheryl is among the victims when her horse Ranger has been stolen. When she finally sees the clues in a new light she knows the person responsible. While trying to solve this mystery Cheryl is helping sort through boxes and discovers another mystery involving love between an English girl and an Amish man. This mystery causes tension between Cheryl and Naomi but gives her the courage to tell Levi Miller how she feels about him. When Levi walks away Cheryl begins to wonder if she has made a mistake and starts planning to leave Sugarcreek. How these two mysteries are solved will definitely keep the reader turning the pages.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.
Book 22. There's some horse snatching going on and Samson and Ranger are gone! Cheryl and the Millers are worried sick over their horses safety. Cheryl of course makes it her mission to find the horses. Two other farms have also been hit and there are not many clues. In the meantime Cheryl is asked to help out the Museum by going thru some boxes donated of Carrie Lighhtner's a women that has moved into the nursing home in her 60's because of extreme arthritis. Cheryl finds her diary in there and while reading thru it finds out in her youth she fell in love with an Amish Man. She ends up not following her heart, and has regretted it her whole life. Cheryl realizes she doesn't want to end up like Carrie so she tells Levi her feeling and tells him she wants to be his wife.
Amazing book! I'm not sure who Emmaline was, Either I missed that detail or Good ridds got that description wrong. The diary she found was by Carrie, Who was very much alive and in a nursing home!
I was completely taken by Carrie's story and Cheryl's! Definitely 1 of the best books in this series, if not the best! So happy about how it all turned out ! Diving into the next 1 right away! Extremely anxious to see how all of this goes
Another good installment in the series. The plot of this book is based on several horses being stolen in the area. Cheryl's Ranger and the Miller's Samson are two of them. The book focuses on solving the mystery and redemption for those involved. A fictional story of love, grace and forgiveness to remind us that such things do still exist in society today.
