It's not steamy more like a slow simmer, but still a decent read. If the story was a little longer I think it could have made it to 4 stars.
Jade's father passes and now she must fight in a ceremony to be named alpha. Evan is a lone wolf that left his pack so he didn't have to fight is brother to be alpha. No one wants a woman to lead because female alpha's are unheard of and two alpha's can lead. Jade is force to not only fight to keep her father pack, she must also fight her attaction to Evan because their alpha powers will not allow both of them to lead. On top of this her best friend Carla comes up missing which happens from time to time with the lesser female.
It was a decent read but it was just getting really good when it ended. Evan was force to call is brother so he could assist Jade's pack and Brett has some interesting reactions when he shows up to face the brother that left and the female with the alpha powers.
The book contains rape so please be aware of that before you purchase. There is sex but the scenes are not so detailed that they are erotic. Just a leading up to and then it pretty much fades out and they are cuddling and staring lovingly into each others eyes, romance.

Quick, easy read. Romance with a paranormal twist.

2.5 stars. It wasn't bad, it just didn't wow me. The story felt generic, as if any author could have written this. I didn't get a sense of the author in this work at all.
