The Aterniens had a century to plan their revenge, and despite the best efforts of Master Commander Rose and his crew, they are losing the war. Even so, Rose must soldier on, and continue to find his remaining crew so that the Longsword Galatine is ready for whatever new threats they might face.
The incident at Terra 6 proved that the Aterniens could strike at the heart of the Union, but the god king has many more tricks up his sleeve. Aterniens imposters posing as humans are spread throughout the Union, causing chaos, and generating suspicion and fear.
But as Rose tackles one crisis another appears. A weapon capable of eradicating the population of entire worlds has been unleashed, and it’s his job to stop it.
However, with the Aterniens, nothing is ever quite as it seems, and Rose is forced into a confrontation with the Overseer, and another desperate struggle to save billions of lives.
Planet Killer is book #3 of the Aternien Wars series, an epic blend of space opera and militaristic sci-fi following an elite crew of augmented officers fighting a post-human enemy styled on the myths of ancient Egypt.

Librarian Note: There is more than one author in the Goodreads database with this name.
There are still editing issues here and there. It seems to just be a quirk of the series at this point, but overall, it's not a big nuisance.
The overarching story is interesting, but the nitty-gritty of it is lack luster. The swordplay is very repetitive, along with most of the combat. There don't seem to be any stakes involved outside of the overarching ones, which I've noticed throughout the entire series. Just throw Carter at the problem, and it will be fixed. The only stakes in this series is around his XO and that's only twice and because she is human.
I also remember it being said in one of the previous books that the overseer carter has fought a few times now was automatically restored with her memories intact because of her position and didn't use a soul block. However, this seems to be walked back in this book, again bringing up continuity issues.
ETA: I can't believe I forgot about this. But they straight up just renamed a character in the middle of the book. We were told the name of this new robot was AVA 3 separate times, given a reason why their name was that and then out of nowhere it's just changed to ADA and it's never brought up again
Finding Waldo👺 in Outer Space🚀💫🌏 Go all in, or lose everything💀 Seems like our heroes got side tracked on Terra Eight🌏 in this continuation of the series.Book three. Carter🐺💪🗡🔫, an augmented man who is nearly immortal, has his suspicions about who is responsible for creating the fake officers planted among their ranks. Now all he has to do is find him👺. This book is part of a series📚 and ends in a cliffhanger.
I got this e-book from Amazon📚 with Kindle unlimited
I'm enjoying this series so much, I can't wait for the next book to be released. Good characterisation and real humor in the face of adversity make this enjoyable on a number of different levels. Drama, loss, pain and future diversity to name but a few make this series and author are my favourite entertainment for reading at the moment! Keep up the good work G J!
If you’ve read other books in this series and enjoy them, you will enjoy this book as well. The only issue is that I find the MC carries a six shot revolver, we are past the John Wayne. Era We are now in the John Wick error more firepower the better. The characters are likable, and you come to think of them as friends. We’ll go on and read the next book in the series.
More of the same. Still an atrocious amount of grammatical and continuity errors. How hard is it to have someone proofread your work? At this point the ONLY reasons that I am still reading the series is that 1) it is “free” on KU, and 2) I feel that after investing this much time into it, I might as well find out how the story ends.
What can a person say when reading a series such as this it has all the humor and sarcasm that a great story has it has the individuals that you follow and considered to be your friends and you worry about and are concerned for all these details are here can't hear definitely a book on this series and can't wait to read the final outcome dear author thank you
Hmm not sure. A lot of the same throughout the book. Something being attacked, they step in kill everyone, something being attacked they step in..... and so on. So no real plot or story development ending similar to last book. Maybe the next will develop the story.
Volume three of the Aternien War series is full of surprises. It succeeded in keeping me interested an entertained. Like the first two volumes, editing is a minor problem. Looking forward to book 4.
How do you defeat a God? With great difficulty it seems. Carter is the best at what he does, but even he is struggling to get the best of this immortal enemy. Amazing
But I need a break from all the death and destruction... It makes me sick to my stomach and also makes me wonder if the author is really all that creative that his only method of keeping me reading is more death and destruction rather than creativeness.
The Athenians are back to create havoc and only one ship has a chance to save humanity. Setting up a bomb that relies a virus to kill off all life on the planet so they can repopulate with synthetic people with computer brains. Good Read.
Overall, it was a good read, but I'm its starting to get a little repetitive in book three. Still seems to be trying to add crew members. Hopefully, book four will pick up the pace some.
