In this book you can find the answers of question. Who people live back than? What is a castles and how were they built? How the knight defends castles from enemy attacks? It is very Interesting!

An excellent book on the Middle Ages. Loved the explanation on the parts of a castle and how they're built. Lots of great detail, but in a readable manner and written in a way that makes it interesting to learn. Love these books!

I got it for my daughter but decided to check it out and found it interesting. I liked the simple way things were explained. Maybe I should stick to 7-12 reading material. Hehe!

I actually liked the fact tracker more than I liked the book it was supposed to accompany. My five year-old daughter and I took turns reading the books to each other, she from The Knight at Dawn, me from the fact tracker. This method worked fairly well as both books have 10 chapters, but would have been better if the chapters in the fact tracker were arranged slightly differently. It seems like it wouldn't have been that difficult to sync up the two.

Overall, I felt the information was laid out in a logical manner, and while somewhat difficult for a five year-old, made a good attempt at explaining complex concepts in a simple manner.

As usual, a good introduction to the subject. Lots of illustrations, and definitions and pronunciation guides keep it easy for a young kid to engage with. I also like the tips for doing research, and lists of other books, videos and websites that can be visited. For even a more advanced reader, this may help spark interest in the subject, and if not it's not a long read so nothing lost! This is the non fiction companion to The Knight at Dawn

I think this book is a great research book and an overall good use for your recreational time. This book gives all the details and interesting facts you want to know about the Age of Knights and Castles! The authors presented learning in a fun way using characters from the original Magic Treehouse. This book has some of the same level facts as some of the real deal fact books but this one gets you fully immersed inside the world of the Middle Ages. I suggest this book to anyone doing research on the Middle Ages or just looking for something interesting to read!

Compared to the Dinosaurs Fact Tracker, I liked this one a bit more. It had more interesting illustrations and explanations of the Medieval times. My kids are into weapons and there was plenty of that too in the book!

We finished all the Magic Tree House books a few years ago but never read any of the Fact Tracker books. We read this book for our England unit study. My son and I really love the Tree House series.
