In 2008, I lost the love of my life. Grief has been a companion in my life ever since. This volume of poetry explores the experience of grief both over time and in various situations including some more problematic griefs like the death of my abusive father. My poems are not from a religious perspective for the most part.. There are many grief books with a religious theme. When I first lost Karl, I wanted something more down to earth to help me get through this awful experience. The result is this book. I wrote it as poetry because in the throes of grief, it is hard to concentrate. Easier to read a poem than a novel or memoir when your brain is fogged.
