This is a rerelease. Same book, different cover. She haunted his dreams and starred in his dirtiest fantasies
Office recluse Nicholas Sinclair decided to confront the person watching him in the Sinclair Enterprises parking lot. He was done being stalked. He was met with the unexpected when he finds himself staring into the eyes of the one woman who makes him want...everything. It did not matter whether she was dressed in a tailored, just-tight-enough business suit or filling out jeans that made him weak, he knew how the night would end-- with her in his dreams.
Executive Kalilah Wright is a no-nonsense business woman with a wild side. She took on the work that came her way from her handsome, engaging, and very married "I love my wife" boss, Andrew Sinclair. Her work ethic fostered a relationship that kept her on the corporate ladder of success. But, she wanted more than a fat bank account and designer apparel. She wanted a mate. She wanted the guy in the parking lot.
Nicholas has a secret that asks every question. Kalilah has all the answers. What he pitches to her can only be taken in one way. Kalilah is up to the challenge, but will Nicholas complete the journey?
Francesca Penn lives in Texas with her husband and son. While obtaining her Technical Writing degree, a creative writing course and play-writing elective reawakened her desire to create stories. Her brain lives in fiction; even the songs she listens to become music videos in her head.
When she is not writing, she can be found hounding her loved ones with multiple "What-if" scenarios. As a true closet romantic, she is prone to filling up her DVR with Hallmark movies. A friend once told her that she'd trained the whole 20 plus years she'd known her to write romance since her nose was always in a love story.
Francesca believes that love is colorblind and plans to provide a mix of couples of different races and ethnicities because - to her - men are like Skittles, and we all know their motto.
I did not really enjoy this, as I dislike stories such as this one. You have the Black woman falling for the White man, then having sex with him, like they are rabbits according to the account here. Then, she sees him with a White woman and just makes an assumption and runs in the opposite direction. Does not approach the situation or him, just makes a decision and refuses to talk with or see this person to confirm his intent for any future relationship. Someone else has to intervene and it takes only a few minutes or words to clear this up, but she would throw it all away or be miserable for years, when all it took was a few minutes of time. She was miserable anyway, so why not be miserable for the proper reason!
** Black Women take your place at every table with confidence, not just as a man’s sexmate, side piece or porn star wannabe! Get a spine, show some class and show all why you a boss lady all the time! You are a proud Black woman, with strength, confidence and love for yourself! Show him (and her) what he will be missing when you leave! **
Kalilah and Nicolas had a very tumultuous relationship that started out with her being a stalker, who wasn’t a stalker at all. Nicolas had a bad experience with a woman who wanted him for all the wrong reasons, and he wanted Kalilah for all the right reasons. The journey they took to get them where they needed to be was very sexy and sensual and well worth the wait for him.
Never fell in love with the hero, Nick. He alternated between entitled, clueless and stunted for me. More than a third of the book could have been cut if rich-ass Nick had only gotten some professional therapy! Other plot devices were too flimsy for me to fall in love with the story. Also thought Dex was a little too overly-familiar with K initially after finally accomplishing her task.
OK, I will tell you. I am not usually into slow to get into a bed kind of book but, this right here was the exception! I enjoyed the whole book! I’ve reread several pages before I could move forward. I purchased this book a while ago but haven’t read it until now. I’m beating myself up for taking this long to read, such a great book. Francesca Penn you can write ! Can’t wait for book 2. Five+ stars.
A little Etta James crooning is so apropos for this unique and titillating storyline and by the extremely talented Ms. Penn! Can I say how much I love these characters? The dad Andrew-hubba hubba. The friendship with K and Dex is almost as compelling as the leads’ swoony chemistry. And Nick. Yummy angsty yearny Nicholas is a real sweetheart. Sigh.
So, this book was so good but, I feel like it needs a second book. I want to hear Kalilah tell Nick about the baby. I want to know if it’s a boy or a girl. I also want to know if Nick started his own company and what if anything happened between Cayley and Dex. All in all, a great read.
I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to have the reversal of a man losing his virginity to a woman for a change. I liked the chemistry between Nick & Kalilah even though I felt like she gave up on him a little too quickly at the gala, after she had displayed such patience throughout the story. I anticipated a story between her sister & his brother when she was first introduced. I'm so looking forward to reading it next. Hopefully, it will have Nick's reaction to the pregnancy. So far, this is my favorite novel by this author & am looking forward to reading additional books.
So I read this last week I believe and apparently liked it enough to finish in a few days but then when I went to rate all my recent books I couldn't remember it. At all! I had to go in and reread portions to jog my memory and still I'm missing large portions, so one less star. But what I know I liked but it clearly did not make an impression.
This was ridiculous all this childishness and making out is so teen bullshit fuck or don’t. Her ignoring him and him ignoring is so stupid. Family constantly popping up like omg this is so kiddie geesh
This slow burn is a really good read. I wanted to give it five stars, but the miscommunications and uncertainty that plagued both MCs started to take a toll. I hope the novel becomes a series (beyond the siblings), because I dig ALL the supporting characters.
These two people, Kalilah, VP at Nick father’s company and Nick in addition to being a VP, the 29 year old virgin. Interesting storyline from the male perspective equals the same, people really need to learn how to communicate.
Loved it from the beginning and cannot wait to start the next adventure of the Sinclairs and the Wrights. My bestest read this month, 6 stars!!!!!! Love, love, loved the POV of all the characters!!!😍
This was a long story I was a little put off because the guy acted less Alpha and the woman kept letting him string her along it took a while but it worked out.
