Sabien What does a billionaire hockey player and a clueless dog walker have in common? Besides my dog, we both enjoyed spending one hot night burning up the sheets. And we both needed something desperately enough to strike a deal.
Possibly the stupidest deal ever imagined according to my lawyer, but once it's done, we're in bed together--literally--for the duration of the season. The one rule is that we agree to part ways cleanly at the end of the contract. No contact allowed. Whether we want it or not...
Two Pucks by Stephanie Queen, book three in her Portsmouth Whalers series is a wonderful, amusing fake relationship romance between playboy Sabien, a professional hockey player, and artist Cherry, a dog walker. Sabien is talented on the ice, but off the ice is a different story. Wanting to prove he deserves to be the captain, he must demonstrate that he can be a responsible and dependable person to his coaches. His first step was getting a dog, Lady. Then, he hired dog walker Cherry, who loves his dog as much as he does, to help out while he was away. Cherry, a poor artist, finds herself evicted, so Sabien, nice guy that he is, steps in offering her a place to stay. Realizing being in a serious relationship would prove that he was maturing he suggests to Cherry that with her living with him that they could pretend to be in a relationship. Except, consequences and feelings don’t always recognize or follow the rules when something is pretend.
Ms. Queen once again brought the sizzle and humor to her story, making it an enjoyable read. Cherry might be sassy and not care that Sabien is a hockey player, but she recognizes his good looks and caring personality. Sabien is loveable despite his cluelessness about his actions and their consequences. I highly recommend Two Pucks to other readers who enjoy hockey romance and fake relationships and look forward to the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Sabien hot blue eyed professional hockey player gets a dog, it’s the first step for this playboys journey to grow up & show responsibility. Since he travels so much for his career, he hires a sassy red headed dog walker, that appears to love his dog Lady as much as Sabien.
When his team teammate & captain of the Portsmouth Whalers goes down with a gruesome leg injury, Sabien wants that “C” on his uniform. After a night of debauchery with a yet another woman his dog walker drives up to the press outside his house asking questions about the injured captain retiring from the team.
This book brings hilarity like many of Stephanie’s books do, along with the heat and romance that makes for a great hockey romance. Portsmouth Whalers series has been entertaining, easy reading, page turning books, Two Pucks does not disappoint, plus it has an awesome dog playing a big part of the book,
Two Pucks is book 3 in the Portsmouth Whalers series. It's a romantic hockey story featuring Sabien and Cherry. Sabien is a professional hockey player who loves the ladies, and Cherry is a dog walker. Sabien got a dog to show he is responsible and hired Cherry to help look after the dog while he is away. The captain gets injured, and Sabien wants the captain role but has to prove himself responsible. Cherry gets evicted from her place, and Sabien needs to show he is responsible enough, so he offers her a place to stay, and they make an arrangement to start a fake relationship.
I have loved the other Portsmouth Whalers books and this is no different. I love Cherry, she is sassy, doesn't care that he is a hockey player and she loves dogs. Sabien is a loveable character. If you love hockey romance and fake relationships story then this book is for you.
Overall, definitely 5 stars. I loved it. Loved to finally read Sabian and Cherry's story. I'm a huge fan of hickey romances period and add in the whole fake dating arrangement, I am here for it all. I loved the flow between these two, how everything seemed to just click for them. As per usual, I. Fake dating, someone falls completely head over heels for the other, or both do lol, and this time showed true as well. The only downfall, and I I don't feel like it should dock the scoring at all, is I did feel the book felt a little rushed. I don't feel i got enough out of the story. I felt there could have been a little more. I think it would have been adorable for him to tell her where he found the necklace, rather than just the end.
But as I said, overall, 5 stars. It was a great book and excited for the next. I really want/need Link's story.
Sabien and Cherry had me laughing out loud at their not so subtle attempts to keep things strictly business between them. He’s a wealthy hockey player, she’s a struggling artist/dog walker. When Cherry gets evicted and Sabien needs a girlfriend they come up with a mutually beneficial arrangement. He’s a little slower than her to realize their relationship isn’t quite so fake. If you are looking for a fun, fast paced read that involves all my favorites, hockey, romance, and dogs this book is for you. A great addition to the Portsmouth Whalers series.
This is a cute fake romance story that continues this series on to the next player of the Whalers. Sabien is determined to hold on to his bachelorhood until the team captain Rafe is injured and plans to retire. He wants to be the captain but he has to work for it proving he is a leader. But his lifestyle portrays him as being a playboy and no stability. He then enlists the help of his dog walker, Cherry to have a fake relationship with him. This is short, sweet, steamy and fast read with an HEA. The next in the series will be Link’s and I can’t wait.
Sabien a professional Hockey player, he gets a dog , Lady to put him in with a chance of scoring the Captain’s job when the coach sees him as being a responsible person. He hires Cherry , a dog walker. It gets interesting when they agree thanks to his lawyers to get into bed together by signing a contract not to bed each other and then walk away when the season is done . Confused? Yeah they were too . They couldn’t get handsy if they wanted …Stupid contract has all pulses racing. Great writing , highly entertaining
This had me in literal tears!!! 😭 But it’s also fun and hot. Sabien is up for team Captain. Cherry is a dog-walker/artist. Things happen and they decide to fake a relationship. From the beginning I knew we were in for a treat but I didn’t expect the turn on events. They have a great supportive group of friend and I love that. Lady is soooo cute!!!!! And the bonus epilogue is awesome!!! I loved reading it!!! Thanks Stephanie! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰
Stephanie did it again! I loved this one. Sabien and all his inner thoughts about staying single and only caring about hockey! Then you have sassy Cherry! She’s his amazing dog walker. She loves Lady as much as he does. They have such awesome banter and it’s so funny. I couldn’t stop reading. I loved how they both had some things they had to get past but together they made such a great team! Definitely pick this up and read it!
The always say you find love when your not looking for it. That's just what happens in this book. A funny, over-the-top fake dating fiasco that has both families and friends questioning what is really going on. Loved it.
A crazy, funny hockey romance! So funny at times I has to laugh out loud! Cherry is Sabine’s dog Walker. When the paparazzi catches him walking another one nighter fro his home as she is walking in all H**l breaks loose. The team captain is retiring and Sabe is up for the position, but his rep leaves a lot to be desired by the ownership. So he tells the he and Cherry are engaged. Of course the story goes viral! And tats when the fun begins! So cute, I read it in a day! Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ book by Stephanie Queen!
