Ski Patrol
BJ came to Aster Valley to find a man. Okay, not just any man, a specific man. Namely, the man who accidentally dropped his to-do list in the Denver airport, thereby revealing he's the absolute best, most perfect match for BJ.
But after almost a week of...uh...kissing too many of the wrong guys, BJ realizes it's not meant to be. To add insult to injury, he gets an actual injury on the slopes, putting a wrench in his plans and his job at risk.
When Dallas, the sexy ski patrol responder, arrives on his snowmobile, BJ barely gives him a second look. He's in too much pain, and he's sworn off all men, sexy or not.
But when Dallas shows up later that night at the hospital to offer BJ a ride home, BJ wonders if maybe he had it all wrong. Maybe he should give Aster Valley one more chance to make his to-do list dreams come true....

I couldn't connect with the characters.
Dallas was too sweet and BJ too whinny.
BJ come across with a lost list and decides the man that made that list is the man of his dreams.
So he goes to chase his dreams.
What, supposedly, seems like a funny story, isn't.

Cute short from the Aster Valley series.. but can be read as a stand-alone. Has insta-love and some sugary sweetness in the plot, but overall I enjoyed it. The narrator is new to me.. and was quite good 👍🏻👍🏻 Highly recommended!! ❤️

Swoony ... but also very short and undeveloped, with almost no steam and a tentative HFN.
Charging $3 for some 50 pages is also a bit of a ripoff.
Still 3 stars because the Baby Jeremiah bit was hilarious (read the author's note), and the premise is charming.

I read this a little bit ago but just saw that it was put up on goodreads.
From what I remember this is about BJ, who was in the last Aster Valley book as a cute twink who flirted with both the MC's, and the last time we saw him he got hurt while skiing and Dallas, a guy who recently moved to Aster Valley and was friends with one of said MC's, came out to help him.
BJ is a sweet guy, who just wants love. When a friend of his sisters (I think its his sister) finds a to-do list in an airport and it has "Aster Valley" on the top like it's from a notepad from Aster Valley, and sends the screenshot to her and his sister shows him, BJ is enamored with the guy who made the to-do list and comes to Aster Valley on the off chance he somehow might meet this guy.
So he meets Dallas after he hurts his leg, and when Dallas offers to look after him on his hurt leg (because BJ's friend has to go back to Alaska for some family thing going on), they fall for each other pretty quickly.
But they were just so cute and adorable and the chemistry was good enough that it didn't feel too rushed. And with this being so short, it was going to be somewhat rushed anyway no matter what.
But for it being so short, for what it was it was adorable and BJ and Dallas worked to well together. (And of course, who should be the to-do list maker but the man BJ finds himself falling for ;)). That moment when he finds out is incredibly sweet.
So I recommend this for a quick, cute romantic read, and if you were wondering how BJ (and Dallas) were doing and if they really did get their own love story :D

A cute MM romance novella! This was gem of a shortie that I found. It's a winter, small-town romance where an accident led to finding the one 🤭.
I listened to this while working on my college assignment yet this got me hooked. I loved BJ & Dallas! I hope my soulmate finds me too. I haven't read other books in this series but didn't have any issues.
This was my 3rd Michael narrated book & 3rd time's the chance for Lucy's short books too. D's voice was done good. A bit monotone for BJ but it worked for his sadness. Michael paused & modulated well, I feel like a proud momma lol.
BJ is a yoga instructor who came to Aster to find the man (his "soulmate" 😅) whose to-do list had gone viral. If not, it'll be fun holiday with friend. But after disappointments, it gets worse (& more!) when BJ has a ski injury. BJ's flirty, impulsive but also insecure & hard on himself 🥺. I did think his plan was stupid but his dejection made me sad.
Dallas is a Ski patrol responder. D's the one who gets BJ to hospital, checks up on him & offers shelter when BJ needs it. D's charismatic, kind, attentive. He's so sweet, starts crushing on a stranger he just met 😅. The name joke was low-key funny! D loves yoga!
It's a fast paced story, bordering on being insta. But with their close proximity, I guess they got to know eachother real fast. I liked D's being a light in BJ's dark day 🥺, helper. It's ambitious of D to be so dedicated so soon, but D+BJ fit in that way. It's funny tables turned here & BJ was cautious 😂. I still adored their eventual All In for trying approach. The ending reveal was expected haha. I would've loved an epilogue tho!

This is another short audio novella I have had for a while but never got around to. I have read the rest of the books in this series and loved them so I’m glad I finally found time to listen to this one!
BJ and Dallas were a lot of fun. BJ is on a mission to find the perfect man and finds Dallas on his search. It is absolutely an instalove story but it was cute and sometimes you just know!
The narrator did a great job and I definitely recommend this novella and the rest of the series!

This was a short quick read about BJ the guy who was looking to hook up with Julian on grindr. He came to Aster Valley to find the guy who made a list that was found. When he gets hurt on the slope and taken to the hospital. Dallas was a friend of Parker's they skied together in college he is on ski patrol for the resort. Dallas takes care of BJ when Rocco has to leave on a family emergency. I really liked BJ he was flirty but underneath it was a scared insecure guy who is looking for love. These two hit it off and the rest is history. This was a well written book with no errors in grammar or spelling.

The insta love was a bit too fast for me. I know its a novella so they're meant to be short but it felt like they jumped the gun... like they literally didn’t know a single thing about one another when they decided to be together and sure it was cute but I think this story could have worked really well had it been a full length novel.
