Taking her own life wasn't on Liliana's agenda when she planned her 3-day luxury cruise itinerary with her boyfriend and their two best friends. But when she witnesses her best friend sleeping with her boyfriend, she can no longer handle the crushing weight of her life and throws herself overboard.
She wasn't expecting to be taken by two monsters, a Kraken and a two-legged wolven-like beast.
Now they won't let her go until she gives them a chance to prove she not only wants to live, but live with them forever.
Will they succeed, or will they be forced to let their chosen mate go?
This novella is a why-choose romance and has DARK themes, so it should be read only in the right state of mind. Please consider all warnings since it is graphic and touches on topics unsuitable for readers under 18.
Please, please read the trigger warnings prior to starting this book.
I can honestly say I enjoyed this more than I probably should have given the circumstances.
Here we have Liliana who is suffering mentally after catching her boyfriend cheating on her with her best friend while they are on a luxury cruise, that she paid for. The cheating piled on top of past childhood abuse, Liliana decides that she would rather not continue her life and jumps overboard. "Trying to kill myself and end up being molested by a fucking giant octopus" But he saves her life in the process and wants to keep her forever so that's a fair trade right?
This book is short, like 80 some pages, and a good portion of that is pure smut, but there was also some plot. I overall enjoyed it enough that I wish it were a full length novel instead of a novella.

I am a simple person. I saw the cover on my feed, read the title and was sold. Add in the fact that it's an 86 pages long novella and I'm immediately moving onto the couch with my kindle.
Alas, there aren't enough tentacles in this book to gloss over its problems. The writing style was wild - choppy, awkward, repetitive in some parts and the book needed another round of editing. Missing words, weird sentence structures, misplaced words and confusing use of tenses were seemingly everywhere. Still it's short and by the time I considered putting the book down I was 20 pages from the end, too stubborn to add this to my dnf pile. Besides the writing style, the length also turned out to be an issue. Too much happened in too little time. The relationship between Liliana the FMC and the MMCs tried to be more developed and deeper than the page count allowed. Had it been just about the sex, it would've been fine but character development and relationship building was based on sweet moments that weren't really there. Liliana also did a lot of monologuing, at least it felt that way to me. She spends two to three pages thinking things through and then goes on to do something completely different than I expected. It gave me a little whiplash sometimes.
Still, I finished the novella. It wasn't terrible, just a little unpolished.
I thought this story was great overall. I do wish it was longer, I enjoyed the characters a lot.
The Author did let me know before hand that there might be a few errors, which I did but didn’t bother me because of the mention that it could be there, I just wish the story was longer for me to enjoy the building between the characters coming together.
The story focuses on Liliana who pays for a cruise for herself, her boyfriend of 5 years, her best friend, & Liliana's boyfriends best friend. On the cruise Lili catches her boyfriend & her best friend sleeping together.
So she just jump overboard to end her life. That’s where she meets a Kraken, named Hemming which saves her & he brings her to an island where she meets Ulf, a werewolf who is a proctor. The three fall in love, but that’s pretty much it. I wish the story build was better but over all this is great for anyone looking for a quick spice filled adventure!

TW/CW: Suicide; DubCon; Drowning; Brief mentions of cheating (best friend); Beheading (action unseen, head seen but not detailed)
I received a free temporary digital copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. My review is not influenced by anything but me, myself, and I.
Okay so. The author makes note in the beginning that this copy has errors that will be fixed before publication. These errors were mildly distracting but I kept in mind they were supposedly being fixed.
Let's talk plot. The plot is very complex. It deserves more than 80 pages for sure. There is just.. so much there that could be a really really good fantasy erotica or fantasy series. I was very invested in the backstory of the main characters, and really would love to see them fleshed out more. The plot is amazing, don't get me wrong. I just want more.
Spicy time! The smut? Good. It was good. It was kinky yet.. tame at the same time. We had all these kink elements (anal and tentacles and knots) but most of the scenes felt.. the same. It was written very well, but I wish the scenes, with as many as it had, were more than Hemming tentacle tickling her until she releases multiple times.
What didn't I enjoy? Well honestly, the typos. Again, I get it they're being fixed, but they really got me man. There's a lot of repetitive phrases and actions. It feels like a loop in some places.
Overall, I recommend to those looking for something quick and spicy.
I thought this was an alright story, there were a few errors with missing words and words that weren't supposed to be there that made it not flow very well. The story itself, I really wish it was longer and that it had more details and storyline. It didn't exactly wow me. But i do prefere longer stories with more details. **Spoilers ** The story focuses on Liliana who pays for a cruise for herself, her boyfriend of 5 years, her best friend, and Liliana's boyfriends best friend. On the cruise Lili catches her boyfriend and her best friend sleeping together. So she decides to just jump overboard to end her life and suffering. That is where her new beginning starts. A Kraken, named Hemming feels her once she hits the water and comes to her. He brings her home to an island where she then meets Ulf, a werewolf type monster who us 8 feet tall. And the three fall into a menage. I do wish it was longer and had more build-up between the characters and the love story. Being so short made it seem lacking. It really took away from it. I would have loved more.
OH MY GOD The way I was so annoyed with this book. Okay, so first of all, who kills themselves just because their boyfriends cheated on them, like not trying to be rude, but get over it. Abusive parents, I understand that, but if you got through it once, you can get through it again. And the way nothing made sense, you just met this man and were already having sex like YOU EVEN FORGOT HIS NAME. I feel like there was too much to fit in, and emotional relationships that couldn't be developed because of the length of the book. The story had no depth, and it was basically all sex. Also, the MC kept saying stuff like "since I was not a skinny girl," or "I know I am not a lightweight." I was just sitting here being like I DONT CARE. I just wanted to get on with it. Sorry for the rant but this book was.....interesting.
I got this as an ARC and realize my first review never went through sadly.
I get that it’s an unpolished ARC and that spelling and grammar mistakes are a given and it even says that before you start but it was more like entire words were missing from some of the sentences. It made it hard to stay immersed in the story.
Don’t get me wrong, what was there already was decent content, it just seemed rushed. It could definitely be made into a full length novel that would give each character a little more depth and help them be more fleshed out.
Overall it was an ok read, not the best and not the worst.
Drown Within Me is a very short novella fantasy that is a 4/5 on the spice factor. If you are looking for a menage monster romance with a human, an octopus, and a wolf, this is totally the book for you! The author has a very vivid imagination and probably has an extremely successful career ahead of her writing some wild fantasies!
I actually think this could be a very original amazing story if it was longer. This novella is mostly smut with a fantastic plot underneath that has great potential. I hope the author decides to give us a longer novel in this world in the future.
The author had a great story, but I’m not sure if they worked out the grammar and missing pieces of the story before they published it. It also felt rushed and liked we jumped past important story building. The scenes were hot, 4 out of 5 on my spice radar, they definitely know what they’re doing there, but the grammar made it a bit difficult to read when things were getting missed or jumped over. I hope they continue to write because I know they’ll get better!
Sometimes help can come in the strangest of forms.
That’s what happens when Liliana sees what she shouldn’t and makes a desperate decision. She is….saved by the most unlikeliest individual and has to make some decisions once everything is revealed. After some unlikely twists she will either find her way with them or all alone…again. What’s a girl to do?
Book does contain a warning for those who don’t like dark romances. Read on if you aren’t bothered by them. I did :)
"That's it, sweet girl! Take everything! Good girl... Good fuc*king girl..."
Liliana treated her boyfriend and best friend to a cruise and ended up being saved by a kraken. There is a lot to unpack in this novella.
I was intrigued by this book, I haven't read much monster romance before and I wanted to give it more of a try. The 3 stars have more to do with me than the content of the book or the writing style. I had a hard time getting invested into the book because I had a hard time wrapping my head around things, sometimes my brain likes to be too technical and then I end up with more questions. I believe that if you're into monster romances you will enjoy this story and find it a quick fun read.
Tropes/Content: MMF, novella, monster romance, suicide, men fall first, praise, why choose, dark romance, and more.

Thank you Quinn Hawthrone and BookFunnel for this ARC!
I just think this one was too short. It had some characters that I think could have been really cool but there just wasn't enough time to get to know them.
It was mainly spice. Good spice though! 👌🏻
Yeah. Overall I didn't hate it but it was just missing something for me.
Una historia corta y entretenida. Hay algos typos pero nada que no se pueda entender. Me gustaría que hubiera en un futuro otro libro 📖 más largo con este trío ya que me quede con ganas de saber más de ellos y su dinámica 🖤
Super short and straight to the point where she is cheated on and then wound up in some monster's realm under sea and go her brains fu*ked. Woke up, and the same thing happens with the guy (kraken?) And then right after another guy appears in his wolfish form and she got on with him.
This has triggers that are mentioned at the beginning. Please read before diving right in as this isn't a book for everyone.
Lilliana thought things were finally righting themselves in her life, only to experience betrayal from those close to her. Feeling alone and trapped in a cycle of pain, she takes things in her own hands.
But things don't go right, and she is taken in by two beings who call themselves protectors. She may not see herself in a positive view, but these men wish to show her that she is their everything.
This was a fast-paced steam roller with dark turns. I have so many questions. I also wished for more character build between them and imagine how even more enthralled I would have been if this was a full length story. I look forward to getting my hands on future books by these authors.
