A collection of stand-alone novellas that explore what would happen between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet if her sister Lydia’s elopement were handled differently.
If Elizabeth hadn’t read Jane’s letters in Lambton, what would have happened? And what would Mr. Darcy have said to her when he visited the inn? ~ Letter Interrupted
If Mr. Bennet received the express from Colonel Forster without his family present, could it have been kept secret from those in Meryton? And could Darcy court Elizabeth in Derbyshire without impediment? ~ Uncertain Endeavors
If the plot to elope was known in Brighton, would anyone have tried to stop it? What would happen if they succeeded? ~ Foolish Games
Elizabeth Adams is a book-loving, tango-dancing, Austen enthusiast. She loves old houses and thinks birthdays should be celebrated with trips—as should most occasions. She can often be found by a sunny window with a cup of hot tea and a book in her hand.
She writes romantic comedy and comedic tragedy in both historic and modern settings.

A collection of three stories each focused on Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy’s relationship after she visits Pemberly with her aunt and uncle. Each is also impacted by the activities and redemption of Lydia Bennet.
They are short clean easy reads and wonderfully done
This series of short stories was a joy to read. It was nice to see different variations on characters that I’ve so loved for so long and to see how they’ve changed with different opportunities and challenges coming into their lives and their response to them.
Elizabeth Adams has done it again. Here is a wonderful collection of three stories reimagining the events around Lydia’s elopement with Wickham. These are really terrific and imaginative “what ifs.” I particularly enjoyed how stalwart Darcy is in each one. There’s no running off to London to save the day without Elizabeth knowing what he intends and how he feels.
One really good tale has Mr Bennet actually take the initiative and find a solution while Elizabeth and Darcy continue to court uninterrupted at Pemberley. And in the same story Lydia gets the set down of her life from Colonel Forster. This is absolutely not to be missed! How I have longed for someone to finally set that little Miss straight!
Additionally what is truly wonderful with each one of these stories is Lydia learns a lesson. Unfortunately, she never gains that benefit in canon. I have said so before, and will greatly emphasize, you can’t go wrong with a book by Elizabeth Adams!
