Hello! I write contemporary romances that are a sizzling blend of passion sprinkled with an "enemies to lovers" spice, irresistible alpha men, and a guarantee of a happy ever after.
My stories are crafted with an intent to transport readers away from the humdrum of daily life and into a realm of romance... where peace ensues and a mini-escape is just a page away.
I hope that my stories have the power to make you forget the world, even if just for a short while. Read at your own risk. Your heart might just skip a beat or two.
Amelia Madden woke up to loud knocking on her car window. She had driven all night, stopped at a gas station and bought coffee and candy, and fell asleep in her car, too exhausted to continue. Now a cop tells her she cannot sleep there, points out her tire going flat, and tells her there is a motel up the road where she can be safe as she rests. When she had found her boyfriend Jeremy Fokker tangled up in bed with their roommate at the apartment, she left everything behind. That probably wasn’t a smart move since she was now living in her Jeep and broke. And when she found out he had just cancelled her credit card, she wasn’t sure how she was going to get through this. As she drove, the tire blew and the rest of her money went to tire replacement and a motel. She told the motel guy her husband was meeting her there. He had come on to her at the diner, and now he was pushing her to go outside with him to look at her tire… so they could get to know each other! Luckily a woman greeted her from behind the counter and glared at the man until he left.
Slade Bishop was heading home to the gloomy, ancient mountains, already missing his apartment with the great view of Central Park. He didn’t want to be here, but his father had died and he had to attend the reading of the Will. He stopped for gas, almost hitting a jeep that was backing up. Talking to his dad’s old friend, his family had not told him when the funeral had been and had already read the Will. Fortunately his family life had taught him to keep any emotions tightly locked down. He drove to the motel, deliberately cutting off a Jeep as he pulled in. There was only one vacancy left. And it looked like Amelia, his sister Katie’s best friend, had already taken it!
Now when Slade needs a fake fiancée, he wants Amelia to play the part. He will pay her well. But she doesn’t want to lie to Katie. She has had a crush on him forever though. She could really use the money – it would change her life. And he wants his inheritance. But can she resist him when he pulls her close? And how will he react if their night together produces a surprise?
I really enjoyed Amelia and Slade's story. She has had a crush on Slade since she was young. He was her first kiss. Amelia has been best friends with Slade's sister almost all her life. Slade is older than both of them so Amelia never saw him much. He moved away from their small town years ago. The relationship between he and his father was never good. Amelia has returned home after catching her boyfriend with their roommate. Slade has returned home to collect his inheritance. The two run into one another at a motel outside of their hometown. They end up sharing the only hotel room left. There is a lot of chemistry between them and one thing leads to another that night. When Slade makes it home he finds out his father will states he must marry to inherit. He asks Amelia to pose as his fiance. Amelia is in need of money since she left the apartment she shared with her boyfriends. and agrees. This is a very entertaining read. Full of passion and love. A very well written story. Great HEA.
From nowhere to go to a forever after! This is about Amelia and Slade. Slade is heading home to deal with his father’s will as he learns he has passed away. They ended up not having a great relationship due to expectations, but he knew he had an inheritance that he was due and would collect. The only issue he had forgotten about was that his father made sure to state that not until he was a married man would he get a penny.
On the other hand, Amelia was running away from an ex that she caught in bed with her roommate. Now she would visit her best friend back home as her father had passed away, and she needed to be there for her and her family. Unfortunately, she has no money and is running low on her savings when her past crush decides to come crashing on her in the only motel with only one vacancy! This part is funny, but they both make it work, including coming up with a plan to get the money she needs to start over and his inheritance.

This was an enjoyable book. Amelia Madden and Slade Bishop both return to their hometown in Tennessee for different reasons. They end up staying at the same motel in the same room where Amelia loses her virginity to Slade after asking if he would sleep with her. After arriving at their destination, Amelia agrees to pose as Slade's fiancee in order for Slade to satisfy the terms of his father's will that he be married in order to receive his inheritance. Slade discovers that Amelia holds a grudge against him. What is the reason for her grudge, and will Katie and her mother find out that Amelia and Slade are not really engaged? Find the answers to these questions by reading this intriguing book. I highly recommend it to other romance readers. I received an ARC of this book, and the opinion expressed is strictly my own.
Amelia never expected to do a run when she goes home and finds her boyfriend with someone else. His betrayal set her on her path to run away from it all. Driving in crappy weather when things are against you is not what she signed up for. Another thing she didn't sign up for running into the one man she hasn't seen in years out of the blue. Slade is going home for the first time in years. He is struggling with it all. When he runs into Amelia well things are about to get a little dicey. These two can help each other out, but at what cost? Find out what happens when the snow falls and they go home again. This story was a chance to find out truths and to heal from heartache.
This was Fake Relationship, Age Gap and Best Friend's Brother Trope.
Amelia is going back to her hometown after her heart being broken by her cheating partner. Slade is going back home after his father had died, to collect his inheritance. Slade was Amelia's first crush (or Love). But he left her years ago. So when they both stop at a motel on the way home, it seems there is only one room. So they both share. Sharing a bed leads to old feelings stirring. Then Slade asks her to be his fiancée as he needs to be married to get his inheritance. Read this book and see how it plays out for these two. There was drama, humour, love, family and spice.
Not quiet enemy to lover, 5yes ago Milly teenage heart loved her best friends brother but he left after a birthday kiss as he was 10 yes older and thought her too young. Another are lucky in love and they meet again both driving to his family estate. she's definitely upset about him not staying in contact. Family drama ensues and they pretend to be engaged, this is hard as they both love each other but think it's one-sided. Lots of family issues artist, no spoilers, I got a bit frustrated at Molly's hot cold attitude but overall enjoyed the story. .
When Amelia agreed to be the fake fiance for her best friend's brother she had no idea the impact it would have on her life. He was the first man to kiss her and to break her heart. He is desperate to get his inheritance and she is in need of money. Will portraying his fake fiance put her heart in more danger being around Slade or will it lead them to a happily ever after. This story kept me glued to the pages to see how their story ends. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
Life can be a bitch... I realy enjoyed the story. Had huge sympathy for the virgin heroine who found her boyfriend cheating on her. She contacts her bf & is soon en route to her for some tlc. She runs into her bf's rich brother & she agrees to be his fake fiance to enable hm to inherit from his father who recently passed away. They can't control theiir deep attraction for one another but how will he react when she informs him she's pregnant. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I had a difficult time engaging with this story as it seemed to ramble for several chapters. When it finally got to the point where our lead characters have to pretend it picks up a little bit but the pulse it still relatively steady. There weren't enough emotional highs and lows to get my blood pumping. At best I would say this story is okay.

This was Slade and Amelia’s book. I was broke and hitting rock-bottom when I ran into him. Slade was the first man I kissed…and then he broke her heart. He’s also her best friend’s brother, a billionaire bad boy and my long-time crush. Both of them need something. She needs money and he wants his inheritance. Out of desperation, she decides to play his fake fiancé. It was an intriguing read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Steamy, unrequited love, first-times with someone from your past, deep abiding yearning - these are just some of the awesome bits of Amelia and Slade's story. It made my heart squeeze a lot as I read about their journey back to each other, and back to their hometown. Talk about meant-to-be! The stars aligned for these two in a way that the author has you experiencing all the feels. Great weekend read.

While this book started out as a promising story it didn't stay that way. How many ways can you say something? I started skipping paragraphs and then pages. I don't think I missed a thing of the story line. There were some inconsistencies even before I started reading ahead. There were also parts that seemed to skip over parts of the story. It would have been nice to know some of the indepth reasons to better understand why the characters behaved in the way that they did.
I’m happy that everyone finally was able to say their feelings aloud and the marriage and family was destined to be. Interesting little twits that kept me hoping both Amelia and Slate would come along to see their future together.
What a hardship she has been through. Finding their room mate in bed with her boyfriend just broke her heart. She runs and has nothing. But a nice surprise in the end.
He needs a fiance to get his inheritance. She needs cash. They have more issues than the Wall Street Journal. It's great fun watching them sort it all out.
This is a very well-crafted romance. Ruby Wilde wraps her story line around characters which she presents in depth. This book is an emotional journey worth taking.
