1. Always have her back. 2. Help weed out the duds. 3. Bail her out of bad dates. 4. Never, ever admit you’re falling for her.
Cole Prescott has always believed in love. Despite his reputation as a playboy, he’s a bit of a romantic at heart and he’s been searching for true love for as long as he can remember. Until he finds it, he's thoroughly enjoying the search.
But Cole’s days of casual hookups and wild flings come to an end when he meets her. Layna Brooks. He knows right away that Layna isn’t the kind of woman who has wild flings. She’s the kind you settle down for. But Layna shoved Cole firmly into the friend zone as soon as they met, and that’s where she’s kept him ever since. Which explains why he agrees to be her wingman and help her find the perfect date for her sister’s wedding. How else will she realize her perfect man is right in front of her?
Come along for the ride with the third and final book in the Peach Tree Flings series. This book is a spicy, romantic comedy meant for readers 18+. It contains adult content not suitable for younger readers.
I'm going to start by saying I thoroughly enjoyed this small town, friends with benefits to lovers. 🤣 I read this as an arc, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I loved the character Cole, and having not read the first two books prior, I find myself really wanting to read them and wondering if there is a King series.🤞🏻
I suggested my mom read this series after her surgery and now she won't stop reading using my KU membership! She finished the whole series before me. 😭 Isla Drake is a wonderful human being, a kickass author, and I look forward to reading all her books!! 💜
Great read once you get into it. Part 1 is a bit disjointed with past & current times going back & forth instead of giving you a background then bringing in current. Overall very fun read.
This wasn’t awful there just wasn’t enough to keep me hooked? I almost kept going just to check off another book but I just couldn’t focus. Again, I’ve read much worse, this just didn’t grab my attention
I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review.
I have been not so patiently waiting for Cole’s turn to shine since Harlow and Linc’s story, ‘My First Kiss’ and I’m going to start out by saying that this series was overall charming, fun, lighthearted, and sexy. It had grit and tender moments. Harlow and Linc will be forever my favorite Peach Tree couple. I went into this book thinking that Cole was going to quickly steal the top slot for best MMC, but alas, Linc still holds the title.
‘My Last Fling’ is about two people who are afraid of rejection and don’t communicate how they really feel about one another. While I appreciate this concept, i order for me to be able to justify their reasoning, I need context. I felt like something was missing to really understand why they were so scared. It was still a great read and the way Ms. Drake writes emotions (especially from the guys POV), I mean…👩🍳💋IYKYK!
Overall it was a wonderful story to close out the Peach Tree series and I can’t wait to get the paperback to finish my collection of my bookshelve.
My Last Fling is the final book in the Peach Tree series, and I'm sad this series is over. I've been waiting for Cole's story since he first showed up in book one as the best friend and fun-loving uncle. Layna and Cole's story didn't go how I thought it would. You find out in the first few pages that they have been hooking up since day one and have developed a friends with benefits situation. Layna decides that it's time for her to start thinking about settling down and start dating. She doesn't even think of Cole as an option due to him being younger and his fun-loving personality. When Layna tells Cole, she already has a date lined up he smiles through the pain and tells her they will always be friends. (There's a country song with the line "just to see you smile, I'd do anything" that immediately started playing in my head as I read this scene 😭) Isla wrote Cole's emotions so well I could feel his hurt. But Cole just wants Layna to be happy, so he goes along with it and becomes her wingman helping her set up an online dating profile. This book bought out all kinds of feels (I'm a laugh through the pain kinda person myself). I read this book all in one sitting because I couldn't put it down and had to get to their HEA! This series was great, and I'm going to have to have these books in paperback as well😁
The 3rd and final installment of the Peach Tree Flings series did not disappoint. This was my favorite of the three, although the race was tight. I loved everything about this book, except for the fact that Cole is not real.
From the first page to the last, I was hooked. I wish there were more siblings or friends in this group because I am not ready to leave the town of Peach Tree.
I finally just finished this ARC read. It was more my health and life stuff getting in the way of finishing this in a timely manner. The story was sweet. I've enjoyed this series and am glad I found the author. This one is a friend's with benefits and kind of a miscommunication trope. It's a quick read and lighthearted. The banter was funny. It has some spice.
How can you not love Cole. I loved Cole and Layna’s story, and rooted for Cole the entire time. When Layna decides to end “the friends with benefits” relationship with Cole, she never thought it would circle back to him.
This was a wonderful love story, guy falls first, guy falls for an older woman, and lord of spice.
I kept having to fan myself all through this book! So hot! So much friendship and love and overwhelming sex! I want a do over of my life, and have Isla Drake write the story. No one else will do! I think I need a dehumidifier in my pants ♥️
While Linc may still be my favorite Peach Tree brother, Cole is a close second. This story was awesome, as are all of Isla's books. Cole and Layna have sparks flying and once they let their hearts open, it's game over.
This was the perfect way to end a series. I am sad it is over but it ended well. This is Cole’s story and it definitely brought out all the emotions. Isla wasn’t holding back with this book! It will be one that you will want to read in one day! This series will always be one of my favorites! 😊
I could not love this book more. This is easily my new favorite. Small town, older woman, younger man with dimples and a dirty mouth? Yes, please. The characters were real and relatable, and Isla’s writing is just perfect, and so easy to read. I am off to devour everything else she has written.
Arc reader. Cole and Layna story It book 3 in peach tree. Small town romance but this time we get Cole story. Wedding, drama, spicy and actions secrets and lots of spice.
Friends with benefits turned into so much more. I put off reading the third book in this series because I love the characters so much and didn't want it to end. There might have been a tear or two. These two were my favorite and their story was perfect.
