I don't always agree with the author's interpretation of Christianity. However, the book was very good at exploring sections of text I haven't focused on with the insight of anxiety, worry, and trusting God. The activity of writing down a few worries, a prayer an my thoughts on the message was great for calming my brain and giving me a way to settle my worries down a bit more than I have in the past.

I must say, from the moment I began reading this book to completion it helped to guide me into an intentional search into the One that can truly provide peace during anxious times.
I would encourage anyone who struggles with anxiety to use this devotional to draw nearer to our Savior and Counselor Jesus Christ.

Not my favorite of Max Lucado books. I was a little confused about all the spaces for writing. There were many helpful bible passages, but his commentary on them was a bit disjointed. But still a good devotional to start my a day.

I do not believe I have the words to accurately reflect how beautifully Rev Lucado wrote this. He handled anxiety with grace and dignity. He never spoke down to those who suffer this. Instead he not only gave a lovely lesson, he backed everything up with scripture. I highly recommend.

Light for a dark season
In a dark season I’m walking through Max has written a gem that provides hope and a compass to guide daily when you cannot see. I am re-reading this again for another 90 days. Thank you Max for not pointing to human wisdom but to Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Max uses his skills to provide comforting scripture to soothe the soul and then provides space for readers to personally write a response to help them apply it their lives.

5 minute (or less) daily devotional on reducing stress and increasing calm. This guide combines a daily short reading and journal into compact, impactful lessons. Max Lucado is a master of articulation - defining deeply spiritual concepts into simple sentences. His approach is kind and gentle with the reader.
Easy to use- journaling is optional- simply write a sentence or two as to what you think. Best to use when you can reflect a few minutes on each day’s concept.

This devotional was just right to read daily and be reminded of God's love and care, from the bible and Max Lucado's short commentary on it. I recommend this!
