Oh Joel. Quiet, soft spoken Joel. He so deserves his happiness and I’m so glad he got his own novella. Joel and Abby’s relationship was a night of passion between two people that could’ve really made each other the happiest. But the consequences of Joel’s actions changed their lives for the next 16 years. Now Abby’s back, and Joel might get a second chance.

I love a quiet Hero. I mean, anytime a man decides to shut the fuck up is great (lol), but a kind hearted, patient, soft spoken Hero just does something to me. Joel doesn’t say much, but you know from his actions, the look in his eyes, his touch, that he loves Abby with all of his heart. My only wish is that this was longer, but we definitely get enough to witness how beautiful Joel is.

Alpha Riders MC biker Red (H) is shocked when sixteen year old Cam shows up claiming he’s her father. He quickly realizes that Cam is his daughter Abby (h), the woman who left after a one night stand years before. Abby couldn’t handle the violence in Red’s life and decided to keep their daughter safely away, but neither Red nor Abby have ever gotten over one another. When danger shows up in town, Red may have to choose his second chance with Abby and Cam, or his MC brother. Lovely MC second chance quickie romance with a side of heat and some violence.

Family is a recent term for Red. Having been in the foster system as a young child and consistently passed over by families, he never thought he would get the chance to have a family of his own. That all changes one night when he meets Brewer and Abby at the same bar. He believes that he has found the love of his life in Abby and could find the so called brothers he is searching for with Brewer. Problem is that after one night with Abby, she disappears without a trace and despite his mediocre attempts to track her down, he is unsuccessful. He throws himself into building the Alpha Riders with Brewer to what they are now and spends the next 16 years building his family. It isn't until one afternoon that he gets the shock of his life when he realizes that Abby is right there in Merry Field- any may have more for him than he could have ever anticipated.

This series just keeps getting better in terms of building on the world of the Alpha Riders. I love how we got a glimpse into how the club was actually formed in this story. In the previous stories in the series, we get to see just what brought each man to this club and so called family that they have created within themselves, but we have never really had a chance to see just where everything started and we certainly get that in this story.

There is something really special about Red and Abby that we have not yet seen in the other stories- and it doesn't just have to do with the chemistry between the two of them (although 16 years has not dulled that for a second!). Where everyone seems to stumble into finding love, Red has known he has loved Abby all along- he just never had the chance to show or convince her of that. Now that she is here in the same town as he is, he isn't willing to give up his second chance at getting everything he wants- his one true love and a the larger family he still feels like he is missing. The problem is, Abby has more than just herself to think about and is scared of the consequences that come with falling for a guy like Red. Is she willing to put aside her fears in order to rediscover the only man she really ever felt anything for?

I loved Red: a steamy second chance MC short romance Book 7 of Alpha Riders MC. Redid surprised when a teenager comes looking for Joel, he hasn’t gone by that name in a long time. Surprise, you have a daughter with the love of his life that got away. Abby can’t believe her daughter found Joel. She made the choice to walk away when he was arrested and then she found out she was pregnant. She did what she though was best. Now he’s back and the chemistry is still there but so is danger and she’s ready to walk away again to protect herself and her family, even if she does love him. Such a great story and I love these characters. This is a great series and I would definitely recommend this book.

Abby never thought she would see Red again, but her daughter made sure she did. Gone is the lanky boy he used to be, now he is even more sexy than ever. She will have avoid him or she will spontaneously combust.

Will he be willing to sacrifice his motorcycle family for a second chance?.

When a teenage Cam comes to the club house and tells Red he is her father, it sends Reds world into a spin knowing his one night stand the woman he couldn't forget Abby was her mother. Could these two have a second chance or will the reason Abby kept Cam a secret keep them apart. Well written engaging steamy second chance romance. A great addition to the series.

Second Chance MC

This is another installment of the Alpha Riders MC and we have Red whose daughter, Cam, has sought him out. He never knew he had a daughter until that day she showed up. Cam’s mother, Abby, didn’t want her daughter growing up in the violence that Red lived with. Now Abby’s back and she and Red may have their second chance. This was a good quick read and I can’t wait for more from this series.

Red gets. a shock when a teenager comes up to him and tells him he is her father. Their meeting opens up the past and has Red reliving the events that led them to where they are today. As he and his daughter bond a rival MC is causing problems and when Abby and Cam get caught in the middle, he goes all out to keep them safe. Will it lead them to rekindling the love they once had and a happily ever after.

Family ~

I really enjoyed reading this story. I liked the shocker at the beginning, laid it right out there, then it filled in the backstory. I didn’t like it when she told him to choose, when she never gave him that option. I liked it when she took it back, and when she realized that those biker dudes were his family. I liked it when she saw just what he would do to protect them. Loved the epilogue!

Second chance romances are so hard for me to get into when it’s a novella. I feel like I missed EVERYTHING about their relationship prior, even if it were a one night stand. In this case Joel & Abby have loved each other all these years and they have a teenage daughter named Cam. I loved that Cam was the reason for them reconnecting. In such a short amount of pages a lot happens. It’s a cute story. Of course there is drama, would it even be an Alpha Riders MC novella without it?

Delightful Romance!

Red (Joel Dowell) and Abby Sanford fell in love in their youth but separated by circumstances beyond their control, find each other 16 years later. Abby had Joel's daughter and never told him! Life has caught up with Joel and Abby! Abby's daughter is 16 years old and she had found her dad - Red (Joel)! A marvelous story! Highly recommend for a delightful afternoon read!

Red & Abby give us all the feels. I like how level headed Red was. Understanding why Abby did what she did & accepting it, yet hoping for a chance just melted my heart. Abby was looking out for her daughter but glad she saw what Red brought to their lives. A simple yet loving story i enjoyed.

Neither Red nor Abby have gotten over each other, but Abby still doesn’t want Cam exposed to the violence of her father’s world. Will they get their second chance?

Definitely kept me interested. I must admit at first I wasblike where is this going. But as I got into it I wanted to know what happens next. I have not read any of the other books in the series but this was a great standalone.

Red and Abby's story is a second chance romance with a twist of a surprise kid that is sweet calming read with heated moments that light up the pages. The chemistry between Red and Abby is undeniable and burns hot.

Good read

I will start this review by saying, as usual, that I love the length of the books in this series, so much packed in. Although I liked Red, I did not like Abby or how things played out. Her giving him an ultimatum was the final straw for me. I’m waiting patiently to get to Diablo’s book, but Axel is up next, so let’s get started!

Well written story and well developed characters. Those are the most important things, to me, in a book. Because of crossover of people and places from previous books, it is better if you read them in order. This whole series is great! I am on to the next one!

An ok short story. Red has a kid he never knew about, the FC fled after he got arrested after their night together and didn’t tell him when she found out she was pregnant. Now you have to believe that even though they met and hooked up that night at the bar she is the love of his life and he doesn’t sleep with anyone else in the next 15 years. And you have to believe that after fleeing cause he got arrested for a bar fight and that scared her, she has a sudden change of heart after he beats up a rival gang in front of her who are trying to hurt their daughter.

This book was good! I loved the plot, but I felt there could have been more build-up to Red and Abby's getting back together. It was extremely quick, and it almost didn't feel real. I love the epilogue! It was so sweet!
