Ummm. Marni Mann just basically stole my whole heart when she decided to give us more of Bale and Pepper. You guys are not ready for the heat and the steam that is Dominated! This story is uber steamy and addicting and after reading it, "Combustible Chemistry" will be the only term that comes to mind when describing the level of connection that Bale and Pepper have. Good Lord. You guys need to hold on for the best ride of your life because once Bale gets ahold of you...he won't ever let go!
This story was so sexy, intense and has a delicious twist that no one will see coming. I love this series and this couple so much and will forever be obsessed with them. Y'all already know that Marni Mann's stories are a complete softspot for my heart. But Dominated brings it to a whole new level. This story was phenomenal!!! 5 stars! ~Ratula ❤️

This was a short, & not sweet (aka spicy) novella that will have your heart racing!! Like my lord Bale was something else entirely 🌶️ I didn’t connect to the characters like I normally do, but maybe because this one is shorter? Idk. Dominated is a steamy romance novella. Pepper has a one night stand and wakes up alone. She is left questioning everything and who is Bale. This is part of the agency series but I read it as a standalone and didn’t feel like I missed any of the story. I recommend Dominated for someone looking for a quick romance read.

Can I just say…. what took me SO LONG to read this series? I had heard about them, I’d seen them everywhere, and then I finally got to read this and I thought it was great! I definitely need to go back and read all the books. But what I particularly loved about this book was that it was a super short and easy read, very SPICY, and had a strong woman in power that is also extremely comfortable in her sexuality and sexual needs, going so far as to be the owner of a chain of sex clubs. I see quite a few books that feature sex clubs, but usually the male MC’s tend to be the owners, so I am so glad to see this role reversal here.
I also liked that for even as short as it was, it was enough time to feel for our characters and their choices and journeys—enough to emotionally get attached to them. I feel like the shorter the book, the trickier it is to establish this type of relationship with the reader without it being overly dramatic or having it fall flat.
Lastly, that MMC is all sorts of sexy and I loved how he saw and knew everything about our FMC and used it to gain her interest… and yet, he’s the one who comes out a changed person. Hehehe gimme all the twists like this!
In general, Miss Mann, if you read this review, you have a new fan! I’ll be making sure I read everything you write! Thank you for your contributions!

Marni hit it out of the park with Pepper and Bale’s snack if a story. Honestly, I think it might have been the spiciest book I’ve read from her. The tension! The story! The push and pull! It has it all wrapped up in a novella.

Marni Mann knows spice, but this may be her spiciest nugget to date.
Dominated is a revamped (June 2023) longer novella and is the final book in the Agency series. It can 100% be read as a standalone as I have only read this book and never felt lost while reading it.
This is a story of a watcher (Bale) who has been hired to watch Pepper. Bale may not get involved with his clients, but the attraction is there, even when not in person. When these two meet at a club, a whisper in an ear ignites their chemistry and the story explodes from there.
I don't know what I was expecting, but it was not this. I loved that it was hot and the connection was fierce between Pepper and Bale right from the start. But what I liked most was the touch of darkness under the whole story. Marni Mann knows spice and erotic romance, but man can she bring some darkness into it and make it flow. I can only imagine if the story were longer, how deep we could've gone into the abyss. But with the novella length, it still told a complete story and now I can't wait to go back and read The Agency series.

Then Bale learns the information he's collected is going to be used to destroy the clubs and Pepper A woman he is starting to feel way more for than he should and he knows he has to tell her.
But will she want to know?
And with smoking hot sex scenes both inside and outside of the club setting. This was a really engaging and enjoyable short story. That I would happily recommend to others.

Dominated is the fifth book in The agency series and while I haven’t read any of the previous ones, I didn’t feel like missing anything from those honestly.
It’s a short story, very Insta-lust and Insta-love , set in a bdsm club and you can imagine how much goes into the erotic part in here. Marni is known for writing hot characters with lots of chemistry and scorching hot interactions.
That being said, if that’s what you’re looking for, check it out and you won’t regret it.
Personally, I would have preferred a bit more plot , especially at the suspenseful scenes and maybe it just felt too short for me to be able to connect and understand fully these characters like with her The dalton family series.

this novella was a short and quick read but it packed a punch. lord have mercy was it scorching. bale and pepper, dear lord their chemistry was next level hot. they had such an incredible connection and were so in-tune with what the other wanted and definitely what each other needed. they brought it, boy did they bring it.
dominated was ultra sexy, sensual, and alluring. i can always count on marni to bring all the sizzling goodness. honestly, marni never disappoints.

I enjoyed reading Bale and Pepper's story and I thought the story line was super interesting and kept me wanting to read until the very end.

Should I have loved this book?
Probably not. There was a lot about it that was messed up, shouldn't have been hot, shouldn't have been forgivable, and shouldn't have been ok with me.
And yet somehow everything about Bale and Pepper worked.
Their chemistry was amazing. I believed in their connection and I even was willing to get behind the ending.
This is a short novella that really could be an entire book and it's definitely one that has some darker elements to it. Bale is more an anti hero than a hero (see above...I really shouldn't have liked this that much) and it was a great short read.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I felt like my book missed a chapter or something because the end of the last chapter and the start of the epilogue there was a jump. And it just felt like a big hop. But regardless of this, a solid novella. And if edging is your kink, this one is for you…..

Dominated was a sexy treat! It is a quick read but filled with a whole lot of spice. Bale was hired to watch Pepper and her business. Bale didn’t realize how connected they would be. Pepper didn’t realize Bale was not who he said he was. The two together were on fire.
Pepper didn’t want anything to do with Bale in theory, but felt so drawn and connected to him. He was set out to destroy her. Can she really sail off with him and leave everything she worked so hard for?
I wish it was a little longer, but I enjoyed getting to know the characters. A hot series and novella from Marni Mann.

Holy crap this story! Be ready for hot, spicy, some suspense, and just everything! Bale and Pepper were just a Gina mad sexy read and just what I needed at the moment

Super hot but would expect nothing less from Mann but lots of missed opportunities in this one. Wish that it wasn't a novella so we could more of the story. Ended right when it was getting good.

I loved this story of a strong, confident woman who holds her own in the business world. That is until Bale walks through the doors of Pepper’s successful club. He makes her feel things she has never felt before. He makes her want things she didn’t know she needed. But then, he disappears. She never knew she could want something like she wants him.
Bale….always a watcher, for money of course. But this time is different. Pepper is different. He always walks away but this time he can’t.
She has no idea the trouble she is in…..she has no idea that Bale is the cause and yet he is the only one who can save her….that is until it all comes crashing down. Can Bale reverse the course he set her on? I loved this story!!
