Amazing sequal, I cannot wait for part 3!

Where do I even start when it comes to writing about this book? This is a five-star read for me.
The Rise of the Occult opened my eyes in so many ways. I had a small amount of knowledge on the dangers of things like Reiki, Wicca, Ouija, fortune telling and many of the other things discussed. What I didn’t realize was how just the smallest participation opens a window in which if we aren’t careful, the diabolic can begin to take hold in our lives.
This book illustrates to the reader in a new way that we must be careful with what we read, watch, listen to, and participate in. If we are not careful, the smallest and seemingly innocent activity can leave us vulnerable. We must be careful, on guard, and vigilant.
The author, Charles Fraune, chose to include the stories of many people and their road to liberation from the occult. These stories impacted me heavily and I was amazed at not only what I didn’t know, but the battle of these brave individuals to not only find freedom, but to also continue fighting daily for their souls and others.
I highly recommend this book to everyone, but especially fellow Catholics. We need to be aware of what is out there working against use we need to be aware of how we can help others should we be called upon to do so. Finally, we need to know what to be praying for with respect to these things and the priests who wage battle daily to save souls.

It is a very good book, very instructive and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. I was a bit surprised that it was actually reflections on the occults based on snipets of testimonies, sprinkled everywhere in the book and, sometimes, I was a bit frustrated to only have quotes and not the entire story in all its details (but I do understand that it would not have been very practical and that the book would be far too long otherwise). Also, I thought that the criticism of the Church, warranted for some parts, was a bit too long. Still, a lot of the author's choices were really well made : the fact that the author did not linger on the darker details, and did not fall into sensationalism, the way some people were introduced and then disappeared but never completely, the way God and the Church were always present.
What I loved the most was when we had little reflections on the power and the love of God...It did give so much hope. And, actually, the simple facts that we had such a succession of glimpses into the life of souls who were lost and the Lord has found and saved, was really beautiful. Our Lord is truly The Good Sheperd.

Must read for these times.
Have just finished reading this do want to say a lot and a way to articulate but in a nutshell one cannot understate the importance of such a book in these times where a lot of people have gotten unknowingly or been lured under the guise of spirituality and loa stuff. This book is a great warning and also points one in the direction of what to do next, if they are there. This book is for a catholic perspective and provides reasons for it and why one should follow the Catholic tradition.

A wonderful read
Mr. Fraune follows up his first book with a more detailed look at the reality of the occult. While there is some repetition, he shares both the hope of conversion for occultist, as well as challenging Catholics to acknowledge the reality. Not just relying on church teaching and exorcists (as in his first book), here he interviewed those who were involved in various form of the occult.

Wow! What a phenomenal sequel this book was! Slaying Dragons II - The Rise of the Occult opens the reader up to the dangers and gravity of the occult. The occult is everywhere in society, you see it on every level, in the government, in the entertainment industry, and even the Church itself. The devil prowls about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, the occult is just that! We must stand guard and steadfast in the rich traditions of the Catholic Church I.e. the Traditional Latin Mass!

There is a lot of information and solid Catholic teaching. However, one has to ignore the parts that support MAGA cult ( I know) and the FOX News mentality. An example is demonizing vaccines in particular the " Covid Jab."
