Rainen looked up in time to see my horse come crashing into the ground just a few feet away from her. Her eyes widened as she gazed into the sky.
“Hayden! Shield!”
I threw my shield out to cover everyone who was closest to me. I felt my energy touch Rainen’s and I glanced at her before looking up to see what had made the screeching sound in the sky. My first thought was about dropping my shield and to welcome the dragon flying over us. My second thought was that this was no dragon. The creature in question had to be to same size as Faren, the fire dragon I was bonded to, who was about thirty feet long. Well, the same length as Faren. Whatever this was it was lacking the bulk of a dragon. It looked more like a snake with wings and ten sets of legs. It was covered from head to tail in oily looking brown feathers.
I felt the push of magic come from up above and I pushed against it with my own. The energy receded as the creature flew past us. I started to pull back my shield and felt Rainen doing the same. The screeching sound came again. Rainen swore under her breath.

As the final battle draws near, Hayden must deal with personal loss, unexpected good news, and the usual attempts on her life. Was the prophecy right and can she do everything that is expected of her? Can she go through with her plan when just one mistake could wipe out everyone she loves?

I have laughed, I have cried.
I have been shocked and surprised, excited, angry and relieved.
I have been devastated.
And I have cried some more (get the tissues ready!)
I have been totally and utterly enthralled by the world of Quelondain.

Mireille Chester has sent me on an emotional roller coaster ride that hours (and even days) after finishing this book, I still find myself tearing up when thinking about some of her incredible characters.

I can say with 100% honesty, that this entire series, but Destiny especially, is a story I will hold near to my heart for a long time yet.

The Chosen One Trilogy has been a story that is just so powerful, so totally engrossing, that I have completely lost myself in its pages.
Am I rambling?
I know I'm rambling! but I find myself at a loss as to fully articulate how wonderful this entire series has been for me.

If you want to read a series of fascinating characters in a completely new and exciting world and be taken on a journey of a lifetime then this is the series for you.

A series to cherish forever, and the easiest 5 Star review I have ever given ~<;]

Warning: This book is EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Rating: 10 of 10

My Cover Thoughts: I love this cover for two reasons… The first being the symbol represents two people becoming one and the colour yellow means Yellow symbolizes wisdom. Yellow means joy and happiness. People of high intellect favour yellow. Yellow daffodils are a symbol of unrequited love. Sunday's colour is yellow-gold.

My Thoughts/Review: *SPOILER ALERT FOR FIRST TWO BOOKS*

In this EPIC final book Mi puts every adventure and every pain and loss that Hayden and Jasper and the family has gone through together and you get to see what it means to be family.

In the first book Hayden finds out there is another world waiting for her. Her life depends on what she can accomplish once she gets there. She had to sacrifice a lot and she learned to love what she had and she learned how to live without the latest gadgets. She also got a new family that she learned to rely and trust on.

In the second book she has suffered loss and a lot of pain. She will lose people she holds dear to her and she will gain others. She will sacrifice for her family and she will fight for her family. She loses something dear to her and it just about destroys her and Jasper but they hold on to each other never letting go. She will fight to her death to keep everyone she loves safe.

In the epic conclusion Hayden will make choices that put her in harm’s way and she will fight alongside Jasper and her family in this EPIC battle to save them. If she cannot defeat the enemy she will lose everyone and have nothing to live for. She will journey home and have to fight the monster waiting there for her. Jasper will sacrifice a lot in this book to be with Hayden and it pays off. They will learn what it is to be a true family and fight side by side and win. Jasper will be tried and tested and nearly broken but his love for Hayden will see him through!

I did not want this series to end because Hayden and Jasper have such a raw love for each other and had such love for their family that I laughed, cried and screamed at this book because they went through so much but in the end true love prevails and they are living proof of it!

Memorable Quotes: “Sorry, Shlova.” He pulled me to his chest and kissed my forehead. “How are you doing?”
“Better now that you’re holding me.” I tilted my head up.
“Kiss me.”
He smiled and brought his lips down to mine. I sighed and closed my eyes. His tongue gently found mine. It didn’t take long until all I could feel was the heat of his body against mine. I was engulfed by the taste and the smell of him. He pulled back slowly and kissed the tip of my nose.
“Did it work?” He looked searchingly into my eyes.
I nodded. Jasper could always kiss me better. Of course, now that we had started I was finding it hard to stop. I poked my head up and looked around. We were nicely hidden by the bushes I had placed the blankets behind. I ran my hand under his shirt and played my thumb over his nipple. His mouth claimed mine again, this time just as softly as the first. My head started to reel.

Advice: Epic read and a must read for all ages!

~~~Doris's Review~~~
In the final book of The Chosen One Series, we see that the Being and Creatures have gotten together to fight the human's and their leader who believe the shifters are possessed by demons and with the help of a magical staff are able to separate the shifter from his animal. This causes instant death. These humans have been brainwashed into believing this hogwash. Hayden had been trained in battle and has honed her magical skills which includes being able to heal. We have encountered dragons and healers and shifters and queens and rulers and creatures that defy the imagination. This is the end of this fabulous journey. Hayden has reached her destiny and will fight to the death to make sure her family and friends are protected from the death staff.
I don't like spoilers so I will refrain from saying too much. However...YOU HAVE TO READ THIS SERIES! It is wonderful!! The writer has a phenomenal imagination that she shares with us. I read this series to read and review. I am sooo glad I was given this opportunity. Thank you Mireille Chester for this awesome series. "By the moons", i give this 5 STARS!!!
In the thrilling conclusion to The Chosen One trilogy, we meet again with Hayden and Jasper as they try to put an end to Braw's 'liberation' of the shifters. These two have been through so much, and yet still refuse to give up. Their love for each other is not only deep and long-lasting, but it encompasses those they meet too.
With sacrifice, battle, and death, but also, love, hope, and new fated bonds, this book continues with the theme of the first two. With old characters turning over new leaves, a truce between Packs, and a common adversary, Destiny continues to thrill and enthral.
Well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, this book will leave you feeling satisfied with the ending, and yet still wanting more. One thing I will say is to make sure you have the Kleenex next to you! There are quite a few emotional moments within the conclusion. Highly recommended by me.
Before I was half way through the first book of this series I knew that I had to read them all. I quickly purchased the remaining books. The writer has given us a story that for me was refreshing and original. I am an avid reader and have read many stories. The story follows Haydan as she finds herself drawn into another world, one in which she was born into but raised as a human. The three book set shows the path she follows as she finds love, herself, family and many enemies. Thumbs up from me.
Destiny is a totally AWESOME Read, the only problem with it, is that it's the end of the trilogy. Mireille Chester has created a wonderful world that I completely lost myself in. I'm not a professional book reviewer just an avid reader and I recommend this to adults who love a fantasy read. TWO THUMBS UP :)
