3.75 stars✨ this webtoon was v cute! The beginning is sooo Grey’s Anatomy. Having a one night stand and then finding out he’s your boss at work? So Grey’s. Figuring out the family tree in the beginning was rough tbh. Eventually got it tho! By the end, I wanted more about the one side couple going through a “second chance” plot line🥹 so cute

Yet another disappointing work, which is a shame because the premise really suits my taste. My biggest issue was the couple—I struggled to see any chemistry between them, and I found it difficult to sympathize with either character. The hero was aggressive and cruel, and his interactions with the heroine shifted between romantic obsession and outright sadistic abuse, which I believe was far from what the author intended.
The heroine had similar issues. She was supposed to be strong and stubborn, but her behavior often came across as childish and foolish, even though she was the victim in the story. Both characters were inconsistent, failing to act in a way that aligned with their established personalities, frequently shifting to whatever attitude was most convenient for the plot.
For instance, there is an age gap between them, and when they first meet, the heroine is in college. After their first sexual encounter, the hero develops an interest in her—but he waits two years before pursuing her, even though she is already an adult. This contradicts the way the novel portrays him as a ruthless man who will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, with no regard for ethics or morality. The novel even implies that he spent those two years orchestrating a plan to find her again once she was more mature. But the question remains: Why would someone who borders on psychopathy bother waiting for a young woman to mature if his interest in her is purely sexual?(◕‿◕)
A note for potential readers: This critique is solely about the novel itself. Also, while there are sex scenes, they are quite mediocre, so reading it for that alone isn’t worth it. Additionally, the relationship in the novel is more about power dynamics than an obsessive romance. Read it only if you can tolerate that.(´-ω-`( _ _ )

J’avais lu sur webtoon et franchement j’ai bien aimé, mais j’avoue que parfois bon. C’est tout de même addictif, une bonne romance workplace 🫶🏽

I am using Tome 1 as my read through on Webtoon.
I liked the idea of the story and I thoroughly enjoyed the art.
However, some storylines just never got picked up again and that was very strange. They were the cliffhanger of the episode and in the next episode we're 1 week further and no mention of what happened. It just happened so often that I got confused about what to make of it.
The end of the story is nice but also very low, compared to what happened a couple of episodes before.
I liked the idea of the story and I thoroughly enjoyed the art.

Merci beaucoup à Tiphaine pour me faire découvrir « The Runway » et plus spécifiquement les Webtoon. J’aime énormément cette histoire ainsi que les illustrations. Normalement je ne suis pas trop « romance de bureau » mais là coup de coeur pour Yoo Ji An et Shin Hyeonmin… C’est classique, déjà vu… mais ça fonctionne. Concernant la couverture, j’adore ces tons pastels qui illustrent parfaitement ce Webtoon ainsi que le papier glossy qui donne un effet luxueux. Intriguée par les quelques éléments dévoilés dans ce premier tome, le tome 2 s’annonce croustillant.
Rédactrice de mode chez « The Runway », l’un des plus grands magazines de mode du pays, Yoo Ji An a enfin pu déménager dans l’appartement de ses rêves moyennant un gros prêt. Elle était loin de se douter qu’elle recroiserait son sauveur et coup d’un soir parisien sous les traits de son nouveau rédacteur en chef Shin Hyeonmin. Toujours aussi sarcastique, un malentendu et la mémoire eidétique de Shin les conduisent dans une aventure rocambolesque.
Entre rumeurs, situations gênantes et quiproquos, Yoo Ji An et Shin Hyeonmin ont peut-être plus en commun que ce qu’ils pensent.
Que fera Yoo Ji An face à son ex petit-ami qui ne lâche pas l’affaire ?
Pourquoi Shin Hyeonmin joue-t-il le rôle de son fiancé alors qu’il prend plaisir à l’agaçer ?
Jeu de séduction ou amour naissant ?
Que se passera-t-il quand Shin Hae Jun entrera dans le jeu ?
Des sujets de la société coréenne sont sous-jacents (homosexualité, rumeurs, prêt pour louer un appartement, deuil…). On s’attache facilement à ces personnages qui pourraient être nos voisins, l’histoire est touchante (oncle qui a pris en charge sa nièce). Très agréable à lire de par son côté sérieux, on verrait bien une adaptation en K-Drama !
Un triangle amoureux qui promet de belles surprises en perspective !

J’avoue que je n’avais absolument pas entendu parler de cette sortie mais en flânant sur Internet, la couverture avec la Tour Eiffel en fond a attiré mon œil et le résumé m’a donné envie de découvrir ce webtoon. J’ai donc craqué et je l’ai commandé !
Autant vous dire que je l’ai commencé le soir de sa réception et que je l’ai lu d’une traite ! J’ai trouvé vraiment très sympa cette introduction et cela m’a évidemment donné envie de lire la suite !
Yu Jian est rédactrice dans un magazine de mode et elle va se trouver perturbée quand elle va se rendre compte que son nouveau patron est celui avec qui elle a passé une nuit à Paris trois mois plus tôt, et qu’évidemment il se souvient d’elle…
Shin Hyeonmin est un homme autoritaire, froid et distant. Il reconnait tout de suite Jian mais ne va pas être plus agréable avec elle pour autant, surtout qu’il a des choses à lui reprocher sur la façon dont ils se sont quittés cette fameuse nuit.
Un premier tome plutôt prometteur et puisque que le tome 2 est déjà disponible, je ne vais pas tarder à me le procurer pour connaître la suite de l’histoire ! ♥

Je l'ai d'abord lu en version webtoon et il est déjà génial alors en version papier.. Juste waw !! J'adore vraiment les héros principaux et leur relation.. Vraiment passionnant !!! Je le recommande vivement !!!! ( fan de webtoon bonjoouur)

There's a missing chapter in the English translation for this webcomic. IIRC it's between episode 43 and 44. We end off with a promise of spicy ONS scenes however the next chapter begins with the MMC bringing flowers to the second lead's workplace.
Furthermore, the MMC and his brother, Lawyer Shin, looks way too similar that I got confused. Also, the FMC seems to remind the MMC of someone from his past but that's about it and there's not much explanation for why he fell in love with the FMC.

Por como inicio esta historia me prometió mucho y supo cómo cumplirlo 🥺✨❤️
Me duele que ya halla terminado pero me gustó mucho el final eso si algunos giros de las historia pero se pudo acomodar bien a casa parte de la historia
Me gustó como juntaron a lo largo d ela historia no solo a los personajes principales sino a los secundarios y les dieron un toque a la historia de melancolía, risas y mucho amor

I can’t find the English version of this on Goodreads, but this was so cute! I read this a really long time ago so I don’t exactly remember too many details, but I still remember how I felt when reading it. The beginning of this graphic novel was really cute, but it got a little boring at the end. Never thought I would be on Goodreads rating graphic novels, but here we are.

Ça se lit, mais franchement cette succession de hasards gâche vraiment l'histoire. Le nouveau patron qui se révèle être à la fois le seul coup d'un soir qu'elle ait jamais eu (lors d'un voyage à Paris, de surcroît) et son nouveau voisin... Bref, on repassera pour la crédibilité. Même si c'est noté dans le résumé, je pensais que ce serait argumenté pour justifier tous ces hasards.

C’est troppe workplace, coup d’un soir, Boss employé.

I really liked the start of this series, but the plot lost focus on the main characters, and then when I was interested in the side characters, it returned to the main characters and ended somewhat abruptly. The artwork was beautiful. Even though the story needed too quickly, I enjoyed it.

7/10! This WEBTOON was interesting, I enjoyed it, can’t complain! There was lots of red flags and everything but I like how every single one of the characters did their best to have a character development! The romance was hot and cute <3

Gave me a few late night (think 5AM) swoony moments, nostalgic teenage years but they got me every time :> The middle and ending got a bit too real-life than I expected so it got less fun, I persist regardless LOL. A lovely place to put my mind to rest.
