Lillie (h) struggles with finding her place as she fails out of medical school and worries abut her family’s expectations of her. Okami (H) likewise has his own struggles trying to find his own place within his family, especially with getting his elder brother, Vulfar ruler Nisani, to let him take on political responsibilities. Lillie and Okami previously met and seemed to forge a connection, which he soon thereafter shut down, though he did so based at his brother’s request so as not to endanger relations with Lillie’s father, the Planetary Commander of Earth. While at an event, Okami and Lillie overhear a potential threat to Nisani, and decide to undertake an investigation of their own that will see them sneaking off in a fake romantic getaway to disguise what they’re really doing. They’ll face action and adventure together, with drugging, dinosaur-like beasts, jealous exes, and more. Plenty of hot steamy action between Lillie and Okami make for some very sexy good times. Can't wait for Leslie’s story.

What I liked most about the story was seeing how troubles can be overcome by using intelligence, having patience, and trusting in others. Lillie and Okami both needed to learn how to see the other side of an argument.

Unexpected Twist on Series
I am glad to see the author return to this series, but I felt it was missing most of the things I liked.
I am glad to see a return to this post-Yehrin world. I am sad to see so little intensity and build. The characters are fairly round, but Ikami seemed to miss the edge I would expect from someone used as forced labor. Lilly was a sweet character, but she did little to link back to her Yehrin heritage. What made her Yehrin?
Plot didn't seem sure what it wanted to be either. Way more sweet than heat. The sexy scenes exist but they didn't really compare to the first books in the series. I think there was a lot of potential missed in this book. From the beginning, the characters were too easily together with too few actual issues/adventures. The hero seemed way too cool going back to a dangerous place. The heroine seemed too good at political maneuvering given her youth and relative immaturity. This almost felt like a Young Adult romance vs a gritty alien sci-fi.
I don't know if I plan to stick around if the series continues in this direction. I don't know if I would have cared as much if this was the beginning of a Vulfan spin-off series. I was expecting gritty Yehrin. It's like turning to Game of Thrones on cable because the menu shows it on but getting The Royals by mistake. Both are about royalty but not interchangeable. I get that the next book is Nisani and Lesley, but I hope we meet up with some of the other second-gen kids still hanging out with Yehrins.

Lillie and Okami are used to scrutiny and high expectations. She’s the daughter of Earth’s Planetary Commander and he’s the brother of Vulfar’s ruler Nisani. Their public roles impact their private relationship and pursuing their attraction is awkward with interfering relatives monitoring their activities at every turn. Neither wants to disappoint their family but it’s hard when obligation conflicts with your own desires. And there’s definitely a LOT of desire when it comes to their feelings about each other. They pretend to be mates so they can cover their efforts to gather intelligence about a political threat to Vulfar under the guise of a romantic getaway. The conspiracy they discover is full of dangerous twists, and as the threat level rises, the conspirators underestimate the couple. Lillie is a skilled political analyst and information gatherer; Okami is a courageous and highly gifted warrior. They make a detective duo that would give Mulder and Scully a run for their money. As the sexual tension mounts, they must fight off assassination attempts, bloodthirsty dinosaurs, and political intrigue. It’s a fast-paced romp with two engaging main characters with complicated family dynamics and lots of cinema-worthy action. Great fun. Enjoy.

Slow Burn Adventure!
I really enjoyed Alien Chief and the fake relationship trope that is one of my favorites!
Lillie is feeling a little lost in life and needs to find her purpose and meaning. Okami has been working hard to show his brother that he’s ready to take on more responsibility, but his efforts have not paid off.
Both Okami and Lillie are attracted to each other but felt that due to political connections and family ties, they couldn’t be together. When they discover a possible threat, they decide to launch an undercover mission where they pretend to be a couple in order to stop this unknown threat. However, the more time they spend together facing danger and challenges, their attraction and chemistry only grows undeniably stronger.
Great world building, adventure, action, character development, spicy banter and some serious heat! Overall, I really liked this book and am interested in reading more of this series.

This world is always a treat !!!
As always, I enjoy a foray into this wonderful world !!
In this story we see what happens to Lillie and Leslie , the twins of Commander T' Lan and his mate . They are on Vulfar studying medicine, but Lillie does not have the exact same commitment as her sister Leslie.
On thus particular night , Lillie has escaped another ball, and is outside in a hidden alcove when she over hears something she probably shouldn't. She also sees some one she probably shouldn't.
Prince Okami plays the part of a unconcerned royal, but deep down he is so much more. He too has overheard a troubling conversation, and he , along with Lillie decide to investigate further. Together. Even though they have a sort of , " past " . But Lillie is adamant about getting away for a few days , and Okami can use her as his , " cover " .
Nothing more, right ??
As these two continue their investigation , all kinds of things begin to happen !!!

Ever since the end of Alien Hope, I have been happily anticipating Lillie and Okami’s story! I couldn’t have been more excited than I was when Honey Phillips announced this book’s release! These two characters were the perfect match in personality and life experiences. They complemented each other and made an amazingly savvy team. I loved Lillie and Okami’s sassy conversations and teasing! This story had lots of exciting adventures and adversaries to overcome, and their love for each other was shining through it all. The spice level between Lillie and Okami was oh, so, hot! The world building in this story was a great addition to the series! I only wish we had gotten to see their first meeting with Lillie’s father, T’lan! I hope we get to read about it in the next book, which I am crazy excited about also! At the end of this book, I had so, so many questions left unanswered! I absolutely love this series!!

I actually started this book, but stopped reading about the end of the 3rd Chapter, due to lack of spark between the MC's. I really was having a hard time connecting with them as well. I returned to it after readin another book from this author yesterday, determined to finish it, and did today. While this story seemed to be a bit weak in the MC's characters, the storyline did take off and held my attention until the end. I too, have to agree with others that the interesting political intrigue fell flat with no resolution within this book. Which was very disappointing. With the next book most likely being a parallel storyline involving Nisani and Leslie, it might be resolved within this book. Interested enough to read it next to find out if this is so.
So while it took a couple of chapters to get into the story, I still consider it well worth my time and $$.

Alien Chief is an excellent Sci-Fi Romance riddled with conspiracies, passion, and emotion in a fast-paced narrative that pulls the reader into the story of Vulfar warrior Okami and Human/Yehrin Lillie as it keeps the reader engaged in an expertly written adventure.
Upon overhearing a possible threat to his brother’s leadership they both agree to form a fake mate bond in order to discover and ferret out the instigators of the plot which invariably takes things to the next level and both unable to deny the attraction that’s always smoldered between them.
I loved these two endearing characters and their Funtastic story as the alpha hero and feisty heroine earn their well-deserved HEA!.

I loved this story. It is a standalone with a wonderful HEA.
Lillie was fun to read. She is the more bold of the twins and protective. I liked her spunk.
Okami is the youngest , so he thinks he has to prove himself. He tries so hard to show what he can do but his older brother the ruler doesn't seem to notice.
Things change and both Lillie and Okami take a journey to get information.
Those two seem to sink perfectly together. I love their nicknames for each other, and of course the "mating garments".
The worldbuilding was good, lots of conflicts, action and of course steam to the romance. I liked how everything just seemed to flow together in the end. Well done.

While it’s an interconnected standalone, there are strong ties to book five, and it ends with some unanswered plot elements, setting up a bit of a cliffhanger for the next book, which features the MMC’s brother and the FMC’s twin sister.
Both the FMC and MMC are lusty, sunshine type characters with intense attraction. This book has a mix of second chance romance and fake dating, along with plenty of alien politics and otherworldly experiences.
A very fun sci-fi romance, I can’t wait to dive into the next book!

Look who’s grown up! It’s exciting to see Lillie and Leslie as adults. Such different personalities! When Lillie and Okami overhear a threatening conversation, they decide to do something about it. Investigations, machinations - so much fun! Lillie is quite a daring woman, I love her attitude, her skill at reading people, and her willingness to take risks to help others. Okami is an awesome hero! He’s determined to ensure that his brother is not harmed. What a thrill to find a mystery at the heart of a hot romance! Yes, the interest Lillie and Okami have in each other builds to flames as they work to uncover a plot. Read and enjoy: it’s excellent!

I have been waiting a little while for Okami's story and it did not disappoint. The fantastic world building and the fact that these two have featured before just seems to bring them that bit closer, well to me at any rate. Okami has met Lillie before but he put his family before himself and stepped away. A family that he cannot quite seem to find his right place in. He tries so hard and yet his brother is oblivious. Lillie and her twin have grown up. Lillie is the more outgoing, feisty and protective of the two and yet she is not managing to excel in her career unlike Leslie. She and Okami have some of the best banter I've read in a long time. They are brilliant together.

Okami along with Lillie travels to another clan to find out what danger his brother could be in. They pretend to be mates but the pretending doesn't last long. Lillie already knows Okami is hers but it takes Okami a little longer to accept that. Along the way, Lillie is poisoned and this poison makes her amorous. Then the clan chief whom they are visiting as well as others in the clan are also poisoned. They travel back to Okami's clan once they find out his brother and Lillie's twin sister Leslie have disappeared. And the action continues with Leslie's story next!

The story of Lillie and Okami is so good. The "spoiled prince" is really full of surprises in how strong and intelligent he really is and how much he wants to help his brother.. And Lillie is not thriving in school in her career choice yet her twin is. Now Lillie needs to find her purpose. Through intrigue, angst, danger and exploring their intense connection, our author guides us through their story. World building and character development are amazing. I loved reading this tale of Okami and Lillie and feeling like I am in the midst of it all.

So much going on in the background! I loved this couple! Lillie thought Clan Chief Okami was a player, but she loved him anyway! Her character was more complicated than she first appeared, and I loved the twin connection that she shared with Leslie. Her character is brave and smart and completely adorable. Throughout the twists in the story, the truth comes out about Okami and his previous retreat from what Lillie thought was a mutual connection. I thought the ending was a little bit clumped together, but I'm eager to read Leslie's story next!

I didn't finish this book. The heroine just got expelled from medical school. She never liked it, but she wanted to stay on the planet so she studied medicine. I felt she had no personality. She constantly talks about how her sister is better than her at everything.
The hero keeps wanting his brother to give him more responsibility. His brother refuses. So the hero strips naked and climbs to the top of a cliff and dives off, on camera. Not responsible at all.
They come up with a scheme to fake a mating so they can investigate a group of people in another area.

This was a good read. It was not my favorite in regards to the heat I come to expect from Honey's stories. This felt mellow and tame, more into the action and intrigue of the story than anything. I liked each character and how driven they were to protect. Fake relationships are always fun because you get that moment of the main characters being so silly and not expecting to fall in love. Cute and fun, did feel different from the start of this series though.

Beta read! This one is a fun adventure! Alien Chief is a second-chance, fake relationship romance in the sci-fi style. LOVED it! Okami is yummy with a capital "T" for TAIL. Okami and Lillie both grew up under a leading family, so they had a lot more in common than they thought. Okami exhibits GREAT restraint when it comes to Lillie. And I love that he is actually a warrior, not some spoiled royal. Lillie great leading FMC because she is quick-witted and smart. She’s not just a pretty face.

This installment of the Alien Invasion series makes me want more! In this book, one of the half Yehrin/Half Human children is grown up and has found her mate. The problem is that he can't touch her...well, not supposed to. Okima and Lillie are a great couple who work together to protect the planet from those who want only power. Fun with action and spiciness!.

Such another brilliant read from Honey. T'lan and Emily's daughters are grown and coming into their own. Lilly is strong and knows what she wants...Okami. Even though the feelings are mutual he has been given strict instructions that she is off limits. When Lilly comes up with a outlandish plan he agrees and falls further under her bewitching spell. He has such a quirky personality and she knows how to counter attack it. The banter and sexual tension is ready to erupt!

This was a charming read. Okami is a charmer like no other. He would be happy to help his brother but his brother sees him as the baby still. So he does what they all think he is a wild youngest brother.
Lillie is the outgoing twin and has feeling for Okami but they didn’t go anywhere the last time they got together. He blew her off and now they have a second chance while doing some investigating.

This is another fab addition to the series and I really liked how well matched Lillie and Okami were. Both were intelligent, brave and willing to deal with a threatening conversation they overheard, but they both also had baggage, which balanced them even further. That they had smoking hot chemistry was icing on the cake ;) Expect action and adventure when you dive into this well written story, and like me, be anxious for the next book to come out when you're done. Good fun!

I enjoyed this book. It was a fun read. I've read a lot of Honey's books, but only one other in this particular series. I liked the characters. Lillie and Okami made a great couple, and I liked that this story had the fake relationship trope. To uncover details of a threat, their adventure and fake relationship led to some very real feelings developing, and I loved it. I also liked the supporting characters and am looking forward to the next book. 4 stars.

I really enjoyed this. It was very good. The only thing was it felt a little unfinished. There wasn't a resolution where the bad guys got justice. However, I feel like that may happen in the next book about the brother. I definitely recommend.

OMG LOVED THIS BOOK! I've really enjoyed all of the Alien Invasion Series but I think this one is my favorite. Okami and Lillie are so perfect together. Their Sexy times soo hot! The story is engrossing, it kept me glues to the page. Honey's characters are amazing..so real, warm and alive. I feel invested in them, as if they're family I want the very best for. I can't wait for Nisani and Leslie's story! So good!.

She’s stubborn, loyal and more than just interested. He seemed interested….at first. Actually he still is but desperately trying to hide it due to circumstances beyond his control. It’s obvious these two are meant for each other. Some questions are not answered, but maybe they will in the next book.

Lillie and Okami are terrific together, their playfulness, moodiness, chemistry and stubbornness are off the charts!

Was reluctant
To start this book. Not often fond of male lead characters that grew up privileged and acted like spoil teens when not given what they want.
But this story soon changed my mind about the hero. Loved his mate. They were very entertaining to read about.
Must say I am very happy she was a hybrid of human and alien pairing. Would love to read more of same.
To start this book. Not often fond of male lead characters that grew up privileged and acted like spoil teens when not given what they want.
But this story soon changed my mind about the hero. Loved his mate. They were very entertaining to read about.
Must say I am very happy she was a hybrid of human and alien pairing. Would love to read more of same.
