Seashells on the Beach
Life is a journey with many twists and turns. Just like seashells on the beach, children are constantly being carried in and out of the ocean by the tides. Without the support of caring adults along their journey, the lives of children can be permanently damaged or destroyed. Likewise, the positive experiences and adult support build a foundation on which children can reach their full potential.
This is a collection of some of the children I encountered during my career as a teacher. There are countless others who remain special to me and whose stories I will always remember. The presence of the children in my life changed me just like the tides alter the seashells on the beach. Together, we are forever bonded by the experiences we shared.
Life is an adventure that passes by so quickly. Here I am at the end of a career that has defined me as a person. Finally, I have time to remember countless students who have left their imprint on my mind and heart forever.
