Conundrum is a fast-paced political thriller set originally in Washington, D.C. but with travels to Bali, Lima, Peru, Chicago, Cairo, Egypt and Montreal. This is the 5th book in the series. The protagonist, Dr. Joshua Petersen, former CIA operative and now President of George Washington University, is reluctantly dragged into a web of deceit and treachery against Dr. Aria Girard. She is a brilliant food technologist, futurist and disciple of ARYAN NATION, the organization that is planning the destruction and rebirth of the world as we know it. Dr. Girard wants to hatch a demonic plan to initiate a highly lethal food toxin into the food distribution networks and global supply chain systems which will kill millions. Dr. Petersen connects with others to try and stop her.
The book has many twists and turns and an interesting reveal at the end.
Christopher Dean "Chris" Myers is an American writer and illustrator of children's books. In 1998, Myers won a Caldecott Honor for his illustrations in Harlem. The following year, he wrote and illustrated Black Cat, a book that received a Coretta Scott King Award (2000). In addition to writing and illustrating his own stories, Myers often illustrates books written by his father Walter Dean Myers.
