Harassing a stranger at the grocery store probably wasn’t a great idea, but I really needed those condoms. Imagine my surprise when I found out he was my new neighbor the next day. The single dad next door was hot and also insisted on helping me move. Who would turn down free moving service done by a team of hot and tall volleyball players? His daughter was pretty adorable too. After she broke into my house, we all celebrated my book offer with some hot chocolate. Once Ashton and Ruth Reid inserted themselves into my life, I was a goner. Their sweet smiles and cute antics won me over before I even realized it. Juggling writing my first book and not catching feelings for my neighbor was going to be difficult. If not impossible.
❥ Starting this book I thought this would be grumpy/sunshine. He was just so cocky and self assured in the beginning, but I. Was. So. Wrong! He was a freaking teddy bear and she was so adorably shy.
❥ Ashton is a 28 year old single dad, former professional volleyball player and is Hot. As. FUCK with the cutest kid ever! Georgia is a 26 year old freelancer writer and she’s new to Rosewood. Add the cutest and funniest meet cute, then make them neighbors!
❥ This is a total feel good book. I literally was all smiles from beginning to end. This was a joy to read. Literally sunshine on paper. This is a book you can open and instantly find joy and comfort in! Watching them fall in love over the course of this book was beyond! The cutest couple. Georgia’s fearfulness did upset me a little but it was definitely warranted.
❥ Ashton was EVERYTHING. Him as a dad, a brother, a friend, his acts of kindness. Mr. Perfect. And He Calls Her PEACH 🍑 everytime he uttered those words i swooned. And Ruth has to have been one of the cutest, sweetest, funniest and smartest book kid I have ever read! I instantly fell in love with the Reid’s. You simply can not read this book and not love them!
╰⊰✿ This man pushed his way into my life and brought nothing but love and joy with him. He made me feel wanted and cared for. I had grown so much in my time living in Rosewood and it was mostly thanks to him. I was a stronger, happier person with Ashton Reid. ✿⊱╮
𝟒🌟!!! This book was an absolute delight and it was exactly what I needed at the moment. Although it's a short read, I found myself so engrossed that I would have gladly kept reading for another 100 pages without a second thought. The father-daughter bond between Ashton and Ruth was heartwarming, and Ashton’s caring nature made him an incredibly endearing character. Georgia’s humor and sass paired perfectly with the chemistry between her and Ashton. Their relationship was sweet, genuine, and goal-worthy. Though short, this book was filled with adorable moments and I couldn't put it down. Highly recommend for a quick, feel-good read!🥰💞
⋆. 𐙚 ˚𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝: Randomly decided to pick this one up and I’m hoping it’s a cute-fluffy read!!💘
Picking Peaches is an adorable and wholesome small-town, single dad romance! This was such a sweet read, the way the two MCs slowly fell for each other and created their own little family was so cute. I loved that they got to know each other and became friends before coming together as a couple. Now, this is absolutely a romance romcom, meaning there isn't much going on but I was there for the vibes and the vibes alone; and let me tell you they were great. I was literally squealing with how cute everything was. Our single dad is an absolute golden retriever who loves nothing in life more than his adorable daughter and is happy to orbit around the FMC and get her to open up. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because I needed more, this is fairly short and I would have loved some more plot to add depth to the story. Also, just a PSA that this is not very steamy, there is one scene in the last 10% of the book and while it was good, I would have enjoyed the story more if there was additional steam throughout.
hero and heroine met in the first chapter. and in the second chapter he goes to a woman's house for hook up. they don't have sex because mc's child get sick but i had to read hero touching ow's tits soooooo i'm stopping here
2 Ashton My encounter at the grocery store got me so worked up I was grateful Stacy reached out to hook up tonight. The fiery brunette that was prepared to maul me over a box of condoms interested me far more than I was willing to admit.
I wanted to love this so much but nah it just really misses the mark.
There’s no depth to these characters or background so you’re just reading about a bunch of random people that you don’t really know anything about.
Also, there’s no plot. Like single dad falling in love with his next door neighbour is a trope, it isn’t a plot. Also to end with just the most random, misplaced smut is just weird considering the overall tone of the book.
I really wanted to love this and it had so much promise but the basics were just lacking and it really brought down the book as a whole.
Needed a quick kindle unlimited book and this hit the spot. Was it the best book I ever read? No, but if you want a really cute, slow burn, single dad romance, then this is for you.
aww this was such a cute story and had me giggling and kicking my feet every time. I would have liked for it to be a little longer so that it was not so insta love and we got to know better the characters, but other than that I really loved it. Georgia, Ash and Ruth were adorable💛💐✨
Cute, easy and lightweight romance - felt really easy and nice to read, while there was a few pinpoints I didnt enjoy as much I all in all found this book realIy cute and charming. I want my own Ashton!
I just didn’t connect to the characters or care about their relationship. In the beginning it was too fast paced and in the 2nd half it was too slow. We barely get to see them get together in the end. Also you’re given no context or details about the characters. Why did the fmc move to a new town, why is her relationship with her parents strained? Is the problem Ruth having because of her mother leaving resolved? They just mentioned stuff in the book only to never touch upon it again.
“What were the chances that two very hot people had shit luck with getting laid last night? My mind quickly went to ways I could turn her luck around. Her sweaty shirt clinging to her tits did nothing but spur me on. Those cut off shorts showed off her pretty long legs and I wanted nothing but to throw them over my shoulders. And there was a very conveniently empty room right next to us. Nope. My daughter was right in the kitchen. And getting with my neighbor was probably a very bad idea.”
this book was so unserious that i actually did hate it. this book is written like fan fiction but i don’t know not a single character or there back story. it just goes from scene to scene without any real transitions which makes the pacing so bad it’s frustrating. Georgia is a bad character, and doesn’t at all act her age. Aston is a bad dad and we need not to believe otherwise. i don’t normally use the word cringe but i fear that’s the perfect way to describe this book. cringe.
I LIED I LOVE THE SINGLE DAD TROPE SIGN ME UP FOR RHE NEXT ONE ❤︎₊ ⊹
georgia, ashton, and ruth and the CUTEST little family ever and they made my heart so full. girl dads are so communicative and understanding it’s too much for my heart. this man should be book bf #1. AND HES A PRO VOLLEYBALL PLAYER???
this book is so adorable and fun and fun read! 3.5/5 ✰
It had potential but it was written like a wattpad book and had no depth. I also hated the dialogue between the characters, they were adults but interacted like teenagers?
So predictable and the cutest story line. The small amount of smut was probably my least liked that I’ve read so far but still overall a lovely little read.
There was no plot, character backstory, nor development. Only gave it 2 stars because of the cute cover but it was just overall boring. Why does booktok keep lying to me?
I liked this. Even though it was so short it took me forever to finish because life got in the way but when I picked it back up I enjoyed it. Cute and sweet with one page of spice and some really wholesome moments. Ashton was like if all the book boyfriends in the world combined. He was basically perfect but I wanted more substance. That’s probably unrealistic because this book is short but it would’ve been nice to have more of the characters.
Overall, short and sweet with nonexistent angst so if you want to just vegetate and read this is for you 🤭
AAAAAAA, this was so cute, SO CUTE!!! I'm not usually into the single dad trope, but it was REALLY cute, I loved the little kid as well! Not only that, but I reeeeally could sympathize with Georgia, like REALLY, she's just like me. Like FINALLY SOME GOOD REP FOR MY ANXIOUS GIRLIES !!! I would've given it a 5 if it had an epilogue, honestly. I'm sorry, but yes, IM SALTY, I NEEDED AN EPILOGUE!! Anyways, SO CUTE, I loved it, I'm glad I picked it up from just the pretty cover!!! I'm excited to read the second one, and can we please keep this aesthetic covers coming? I love them to death
That was SO CUTE, omg🥺 Ashton is literally goals (in my head he looks like Karl, hehe) und die small town vibes waren 🤌🏻 I wish it would’ve been longer tho!! Can recommend🧡🍑
