Avery Rae Teecham Second youngest out of 7 girls P. Mattern is from Virginia and great details with this story
I loved Midnight Magnolias I didn't want it to end. I want to keep reading when it ended. Avery Rae was best friend with Noah and bound to marry him . She was also attracted to Benton Lee " Buddy" Randolph. Her father made it an arrange marriage. All seven daughters where vampires . What happens to Josephine?
Carlton "Cash" Randolph older brother to Benton Lee "Buddy" Randolph . Cash got put into an arranged married because he was caught. Someone saw something that shouldn't be seen doing.
Captain Teecham Was a vampire and taught his 7 girls how to feed and when to go hunting for blood.
P. Mattern wrote the story fabulous and it flowed right along I didn't get lost I felt like I was right there.
The book review for Midnight Magnolias by Patricia Mattern is here!!!!!! In this book, we follow the Teecham family. They are a well-off family in the Antebellum South. They host lavish parties and gatherings, but they hold a secret, a dark secret! We also follow the Randolph family. Buddy Randolph falls in love with Avery Teecham, as well does Noah, a slave in the Teecham home. Buddy's older brother, Cash falls in love with Court Cranston and is ordered to marry the pastor's daughter after he's caught with Court. Court is also made to marry the sister of Cash's future wife, throwing a wrench in their fathers' plans! We also follow Casper Venificus, who also harbors a dark secret about himself. He is also well-off, but his proteges have a habit of coming up missing! Josephine Teechum wants to fight in the Civil War the way a man would, so she goes missing after a Halloween party at Casper's mansion and finds herself at a saloon and she falls for one of the ladies of the night that work at the saloon. Avery soon finds herself in a dilemma that she can't get herself out of shortly before her wedding to Buddy! This book was absolutely amazing! This is a series I can see myself flying through and crying when it's over! Patricia has accomplished something that's difficult with me: she made my new favorite vampire series!!!!!! ❤ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well, I must admit that P. Mattern has created another magnificent story. If you love stories about the Old South, you will definitely love this one. This story has the biggest twist of all, some of the plantation owners are, you guessed it, vampires. You learn about their lives and how they mingle with the mortal ones. Very creative and relatable. A must read.
Wow what an amazing story full of so many twists and unexpected turns.
The characters were amazing!! I enjoyed reading and starting to get to know all of them!
The storyline was incredibly addicting and full of many twists and turns that I didn't see coming until they happened!!! It's a short read but very well written and very entertaining!! Highly recommended!!
Did not finish at 15% The way the enslaved people of the story were reffered to as servants and as being employed by the plantation really icked me out. It's a gross misrepresentation of what actually happened. The writing was also very hard to follow.
This historical tale about the old south, vampires, and the approaching Civil War will keep you glued to the pages of Midnight Magnolia until the very end! P. MATTERN never disappoints! I love that time period and P. Mattern really does it up right. She has the atmosphere and the world, the clothing and even the way they spoke back then down pat. I couldn’t put it down even when I finished it. I wanted more! And thank goodness there will be a book 2. You need to grab Midnight Magnolia now so your ready for the second one. I highly recommend it!
