Within the improbable, extraordinary brood of Devin Green’s ten children, Raven is the one who’s managed to make a real-world success of herself. Runway model turned modeling agent, designer, and cover girl, she doesn’t need the club…but is loyal to it all the same, for her brothers’ sakes. That loyalty put her in the crosshairs of a powerful enemy, though, and though Abacus has been disassembled, Raven finds herself jumpier than she can’t sleep, she drinks too much coffee, and she’s not ready to send her Lean Dog security escort packing just yet.

And then a grisly token arrives in the mail, and her anxiety is thrown into overdrive.

Post-Abacus, Anatoly Kobliska has been charged with keeping a close eye on Raven, posing as her assistant at her posh new modeling agency in New York, drawn to her, but very aware that he can’t make any sort of move. When someone starts stalking Raven, it brings his own past as a bratva foot soldier rushing in to crowd the present. He thought he left that old life behind, traded one sort of outlawry for another, but the bratva has other ideas.

Thrust into a cat and mouse game of club versus bratva, Raven and Toly must rely on one another for security…and find a little succor along the way. Seemingly different in every way, both of them know what it’s like to be caught between two dangerous worlds. Raven always told herself she’d never fall for a biker, but she never counted on Toly.

Nothing More is the fifth installment in the Dartmoor Series spinoff “Lean Dogs Legacy” series, and is intended for adult audiences. It is not a standalone, and references all previous series storylines.

I liked this, although perhaps not as much as I anticipated. I chalk it up to timing and my current on and off slump. Maybe? But I digress.

I have always loved Raven through all the Dartmoor/Legacy books and I enjoyed her here in her own book. Her and Toly were good together, but I can’t say they are a favorite couple necessarily. They just didn't have that strong connection that I have come to expect from Gilley's leads. I did enjoy Toly’s background, but would have enjoyed a little more…action from him on that front on page.

The highlight of this book for me was the appearance of . But those are my favorite characters of the whole series, so that’s unsurprising.

Overall, although my review may seem negative, this wasn’t a miss for me. Three stars means I “liked it." I just definitely didn't love it.

It is with sadness that I made this decision, but I have no desire to return to this story.
The Abacus mystery is losing me. But the worst is the fact that the chemistry between the two MCs seems so weak to me. So, throwing in the towel.

This is why I will always read a Lauren Gilley story ..

A marvel story teller. Enough said. This story can stand alone, but if you have time and want the full experience, read all the Dartmoor books.

I stayed up until 2 am last night to finish this book, and I'm paying for it today, but I have NO regrets! 🥰 I’ll never regret picking up a Lauren Gilley book. Raven and Toly’s story was great and I ended up loving it way more than I thought I would! I related to Raven's character in so many ways, and I think that's one of the biggest reasons why this book hit the spot for me. You know, "oldest daughter" and all that. :)

Some of my favorite quotes:

She was a bitch by nature, and she’d had to fight that instinct every step of her professional journey.

She wasn’t capable of being properly vulnerable: confessing, cajoling, begging. She could offer up her body, but not the ugly, mushy insides of her head and heart.

His had been the face of a stranger to her. But he’d known hers. Had perhaps felt, in the way of all young people gazing admiringly at an image of someone lovely and famous half a world away, like he knew her; felt as if some kindship had sparked between them, her eyes printed large on paper, his red-rimmed from the cold of a Moscow rooftop.

So very, very good. Dark, action-packed, romantic, humorous, and thrilling. Everything you'd expect from this growing, motley crew of Lean Dogs. Raven and Toly were just everything. And Tennyson Fox - I couldn't be happier he exists.

Bloody freakin fantastic!!! I am an avid Lauren Gilley fan. I one click her books without even reading the description that is how much I love this author. The Dartmoor series is my most read series of books. I can’t adequately put into words the way her stories suck me in. From the character development to the story building I absolutely devour everything she writes.

Raven and Toly tugged on my heartstrings, the lead up to their happiness was so emotional. I adored the glimpses of Tenny adapting to family life. When Fox arrived all nonchalant and Raven ran to hug hun - my god my heart.

Can not wait to see what the brilliant Ms. Gilley gifts us with next!!!

3.5 stars. Ugh. I have really liked this author’s books in the past, but this one fell short. I really liked the pairing of Raven and Toly. Their dynamic was intriguing but unfortunately it became a struggle to read around the halfway point. And this book was LONG, so halfway meant more than 300 pages to go. There were just too many inner thoughts, too many side characters and too little plot movement. The villain was pretty obvious from early on and to think that no one figured this out made me lose faith in the Lean Dogs and their many associates. Overall, a missed opportunity because Raven really was a unique character and deserved a better book.

Wow. A must read

First I want to say that this series, plus Lean Dartmoor series is one of my very favorite. I love LG's writing. I love the progression of the different characters she has created. I took a star away because I don't like or read mafia \bratva stories. I have to read this though because it's Raven and Toly. It's a good story, but what I like most is the growth in the characters. Of course Raven. But the difference in Tenny and even Devin since we met them in Prodigal Son is incredible. I actually like Devin now. This is a must read in the Dartmoor \Lean Dogs series. Highly recommend.

I love this author!! I love her writing. However this one was a miss for me. it did NOT need to be over 600 pages. I didn’t feel the connection between the two MC’s, the mystery wasn’t that good and it was definitely lacking in the action department. If a book has Tenny and Reese I automatically expect fighting scenes. With Toly’s background I don’t feel like we got to see him in action. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Still ready for the next Dartmoor or Lean Dogs Legacy, as well as anything else Lauren Gilley writes!!

Raven and Toly meet while he's protecting her. They slowly come to trust and care for another. Toly's past is brought into his present. Indirect threats are made and the reader is never sure if they are towards Raven or Toly. This book was too long. The same events could have occured in a much shorter book and the story would not have changed. I did not feel the love between Raven and Toly, maybe because they are not open people. This book is mostly about the Russian Bratva not the Lean Dogs.

Another awesome book in the Dartmoor/Lean Dogs Legacy series. The story of Raven and Toly. Lean Dogs vs Bratva. The story building is fantastic and the writing beautiful. It’s dark, action-packed and thrilling as always with Lauren Gilley. I absolutely love the way she writes. She is a favorite one-click author of mine. Lauren Gilley and… nothing more !

A strong 3.85 stars!

I always love diving back into the Lean Dogs world. LG writes family sagas like no other. This one revolved around Raven (love her!) and Toly (loved him!)

It was great seeing Tenny and Reese some more and watching them form family bonds with Tenny's siblings. I adore seeing my fave Ian and Mercy again too!

The plot dragged a little for me and was a tad too long but overall, it was a nice installment because Raven is my kind of fabulous heroine!

When I say I’m obsessed with LG, I mean OBSESSED. She cannot write something I will not devour immediately.

Raven’s book surprised me, and it was a solid 3 stars until the last 20 pages. The way the emotional impact of the conclusion wrapped up for me was incredible. And the fact that my favorite duo sat in the front seat the second part of the book did not hinder things lol

Perfection!

This is the story of Toly and Raven and is absolute perfection. I would strongly recommend reading this wonderful series in order as you meet so many characters thoughout the book. I will forever love Tenny and Reese! The writing is beautiful, Toly and Raven's journey addictive and I didn't want it to end. I cannot wait until the next instalment!

I cannot get enough of Lauren Gilley. She is an amazing writer and I am always transported into the Lean Dogs and the incredible Green family's world. I have loved Raven throughout the series and she was magnificent in her story. I felt so for Toly, and am so glad he found his place.

love the author

If you read all her books it’s exciting when she incorporates the orinal members of the club in the new stories. I see a Lauren Gilley book and I just buy it. I know her worst effort is way better than most books out there.

This one was good because I love Raven but it got so much better when Tenny and Reese showed up. It did get a little slow when Toly was hanging with Misha. Just a little too long and The Butcher's son was very predictable. And it's off to another Mercy Book!

This book doesn't disappoint.

Toly is almost as interesting as Mercy, only younger. Speaking of Mercy, I rather enjoyed seeing him make an appearance.

This story has been a long time coming. Raven has needed her person, and Toly is just lovely. They balance each other. Toly gives Raven a safe place for her to share her strength with, and it's so nice to see her put down her shields a bit. Again, a Lauren Gilley gem.
