Kian, an omega lion shifter, was supposed to run for safety when Highbridge’s Alpha goes on the attack against to kill Kian’s brother, Gideon. Kian is forced to stay with his dangerous packmates but tries to plan his escape. Tiger shifter Cooper tries to infiltrate the pack to find out what happened to Gideon and Cooper but is instead imprisoned and tortured by the deranged Highbridge shifters, even as he and Kain scent one another as mates. Kian secretly sneaks to see Cooper and things heat up between the two before Cooper sends Kian away to keep his mate safe. Eventually they are reunited at the sanctuary of the Asilo Pack, though they end up there by very different means and the pair must help one another heal from their ordeal. Lovely MM mpreg Omegaverse read (knotting, scenting, pride/pack), but the sexual scenes aren’t too overt. Old friends are back from past series as they work to sort out Gideon’s former pride and rescue those in need of help. The books in the series are best read in order as there will be an overarching storyline throughout the four books, as well as action and characters building from one book to the next.

Loves tragedy.

Kian ran for help to the Asilo pack. He thought Cooper forever lost to him. With Jonas to help Cooper escaped his tormentors and finds Kian and love.

Learning how to grow, builds character. Gideon, Kian's brother trying to protect him from the changes in Highridge told him to run. Jaden, the Alpha needed to make Gideon an example to the pride to instill fear. Maddox, Jaden's Omega brother was barely protected by his relationship to Jaden is Kian's good friend. Kian was hoping to get in touch with Cooper/tiger, Gideon's friend who worked for the Council. He was hoping Coop could rescue them. Then he saw Coop being dragged into the clearing outside his house. They locked eyes and recognized each other as mates. Then Cooper was dragged away. This is a strong story about discovery, loyalty, torture, chaos mayhem and fighting for your joy. Does Coop get to save Kian and Maddox? Does Jaden succeed? Great characters, strong Omegas and protective Alphas. It is great seeing characters from earlier series make an appearance. These authors, excel at world building and integrating all the species. Omega lion shifter, Kian, was supposed to run for safety. Only he did the opposite and ended up in the hands of a brutal alpha. Thinking his brother is now dead, he is barely surviving day after day. His luck changed and his heartache prolonged after meeting his mate from a distance. any reaction will surely mean the end for both of them.

Alpha tiger shifter, Cooper, is a powerful animal but not built for fighting. A historian who end sup on Highbridge pack land, he's captured and forced into a mine shaft. But not before catching a glimpse and scent of his mate.

Things take a dark turn. Cooper is chained by dark magic and Kian can't free him. Eventually, Kian has to leave him behind but they are later reunited and there are several surprising developments. Not only is destroying the members of this dangerous pack a necessity, Kian and Cooper must also makes decisions regarding their family and potential new pack.

This is book 2 of the Asilo Pride series. It is most definitely not a stand alone. The books must be read in order. I had read book 1 and I was confused for the first few chapters. This is the story of Kian and Cooper. Kian is an omega lion shifter whose pride is rotting from the top down with evil. He tries to help everyone and ends up being under house arrest himself. Cooper is a tiger alpha and friend of Kian's brother. He shows up to help Gideon and ends up captured and imprisoned. Before being dragged away he scents Kian and knows that he is his fated mate. When Kian finally escapes to get help, he is shocked by who he finds. Eventually Kian and Cooper end up being together. This is their story. The book is well written. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Love this series. The book starts from when Gideon told Kian to run away and not look back. Unfortunately he didn’t and he got caught. While under house arrest with his friend Maddox, they try to plot a way to leave. Cooper is Gideon’s friend and came to the pack to help his friend. When he gets captured and dragged in, he scents his mate. As the weeks pass, Kian is worried about him and tries to visit often. After Kian escapes, he makes it to the Asilo pack and finds out his brother is alive. As they try to find Cooper, Kian’s friend Jonas was able to help Cooper escape. They also got to the Asilo pack and Cooper was able to mend. Great story with lots of chemistry, a bit of action and lots of love. Cannot wait to read the next one in the series.

Kian is Gideon's little brother and an omega. Gideon told him to run when the alpha came after him but Kian didn't really want to leave his brother and best friend behind. He returned just in time to see the betas drag what looked to be his brother's dead body away. Kian is safe at first in the pack because his best friend is the alpha's brother. However the alpha and betas are involved in bad things like drugs and dark magic. Then he sees them dragging a stranger into to pack house and scents that it is his fated mate. It is his brother's best friend Cooper. Now Kian has to figure out how to free Cooper and escape safely to Asilo.

I loved the first book in this series and was dying for Kian's story, as he is the brother of one of the protagonists from the first book. Great world building and wonderful characters. This story was exciting from the start and I was completely hooked. I loved both Kian and Cooper. With the danger of Kian's decaying pride, and the threat of those who had killed his brother putting Cooper's and his lives in danger, can they escape and be together? Loved it and can't wait for the next book. 5 stars.

There were times I questioned whether Kian and Cooper would ever get their HEA. Their journey wasn’t an easy one especially, for Cooper. Things were touch and go a few times and I was holding my breath for dear life hoping things would work out.

This was an emotional story but one that ended very happily. Fantastic addition to the series!.

Acceptable Mostly

This installment reads much the same as the first, and the series continues to leave me unimpressed. Character development is minimal, and there are many secrets which only serve to obfuscate the storyline. Lots of angry feelings, some fights and death, most of which are gory but quickly described and soon done. I continued with book 2 hoping more story would bring more appeal but that has not been the case.

Cooper sent to rescue his best friends live this brother. Main was unable to abandon his brother and now his mate asking him to run. The shifter MM Romance is great for broken and survival instincts to fight for your life. Action packed.

I liked His Damaged Pack by Jena Wade. It's the second book in the Asilo Pride series. I enjoyed Kian and Cooper's story. I'm glad that the bad alphas and betas got what was coming to them, that Kian was reunited with his brother, and that he's now living as part of the Asilo pride.

This is a paranormal romance with mpreg, the second book in a series that should be read in order. When we left off in book one, Kirian had found the Asilo Pride but Cooper is still missing! This was a good bit of mystery wrapped up in the dangers of the old ways. Well written and an interesting story.

Great addition to this new series!

This is book 2 in the Asilo Pride series. This series is part of a wider world created by Jena Wade and the writing team of Lorelei M Hart. In each book read, within this larger world, you'll see characters from some of the other series pop up. If you haven't read these other series it's not necessary for your enjoyment, but it sure brings a smile to my face when I recognize a character from another series. I want to read them all, so little time so many books. One day I'll get caught up.

The Asilo Pride once again welcomes another Alpha to the pride. I love this series and the strong Omegas that make up the pride. In this story Gideon's brother, Kian, finds his fated mate and finally makes his escape from Highridge.

Can't wait to see what happens to Jasper in book 3, His Damaged Mate.

Brother's best friend, fated mates, happy reunions, surprise pregnancy, battles fought and lost, battles fought and won.
