A great continuation in the series! We dive further into the war between men and demons with more peeks into the world of mystics and their abilities. Cannot wait for the 4th installment!

Deceived Bishop is the third book in the thrilling ‘Leah Ackerman’ fantasy series taking readers on an exhilarating journey as Leah and her fellow pawns are tasked to stop the rise of ritualistic sacrifices spreading across the US. Leah confronts overwhelming challenges as she strives to rescue those ensnared by the clutches of Legion and his demons, including her closest friends and previous enemies. In a race against time, she must rely on her intelligence, strength, and an unlikely alliance with Asmodeus, a former foe who has formed an unexpected physical connection with Leah.

Asmodeus enables Leah to access power and knowledge that enhance her gifts and defy the directions of her Knight and Bishop. Torn between embracing these newfound abilities and remaining true to the teachings of the queens gambit, Leah grapples with a profound internal struggle. This internal conflict highlights the moral dilemmas and sacrifices that accompany wielding immense power. Leah’s intricate relationship with Asmodeus adds a compelling layer to the story. The bond shared between Leah, her knight, and uncle Eric undergoes profound tests, emphasising the power of loyalty and unity amidst adversity.

“Deceived Bishop” delivers an electrifying narrative that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Unpredictable twists and turns heighten the suspense, ensuring that the tension never wavers. The stakes rise as Leah and her allies face the decision to prioritise their own survival or risk everything to rescue others in the face of insurmountable odds.

The immersive world-building within this series transports readers into a realm brimming with magic and peril. Through the author’s vivid and descriptive prose, the settings come alive, enveloping readers in a world where danger lurks at every corner.

“Deceived Bishop” is an enthralling addition to the series, blending action, suspense, and emotional depth. It explores themes of trust, sacrifice, and the consequences of wielding forbidden power. With its fast-paced narrative and well-crafted characters, this book is sure to leave readers eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Leah’s journey.

This is the 3rd book of Leah Ackerman. Leah has a bad demon inside of her but helps her also. They are trying to save others, but things are not going right. I really like how this book has brought into a way reminds me of the native American's do with seeing. There is a lot of action in this book and has you wanting more because you don't know how it is going to turn out.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Dark Pawn: A Paranormal Academy Urban Fantasy (Leah Ackerman Series)

I just finished the forth book of this five book series. Each book was just as good as the one before. The books built on the one before. The imagination and creativity of the authors is outstanding. The fifth book should be out the early part of 2025. The books were responsible for many really late nights.

WTF?! In a Good Way

*I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the authors, and this is my honest review*

Leah Ackerman's world and her adventures get better with every book. In Deceived Bishop, authors Cohen and Rindfleisch give us a bit of everything.

Demonic possession. Check. A protagonist navigating the politics of the magical system. Check. The death of a major character. Check (no spoilers as to who, though).

My only complaint is that I have to wait for the next one.
