When an undercover reporter falls for her target she must decide what matters more: the story of a lifetime or a lifetime of love?

Zilla Parks has never been so screwed in all her life.

First, her soon-to-be ex-husband leaves her high and dry, and then her kids get kicked out of daycare. Desperate, Zilla does something she swore she'd never do - she hires a nanny.

Having a stranger in her home is bad enough but things soon get even more bizarre. Bronwyn, the lovely nanny, charms her way into her children's hearts, and to Zilla's surprise, she finds herself drawn to her as well.

As she falls head over heels for her much younger and stunning nanny, Zilla must wonder – has she been lying to herself her entire life?

Zilla has secrets, but so does the woman she’s falling for.

Bronwyn Montgrand, an investigative reporter, is not one to be easily swayed. Zilla Parks, the CFO of a successful nonprofit, mother of two charming children, and damn beautiful to boot, may be a role model for many, but Bronwyn believes that behind the do-gooder facade hides a cynical thief.

To prove that perfect Mrs. Parks is a fraud, Bronwyn goes undercover – as Zilla’s nanny. It’s a tough gig for someone who doesn’t even like children, but she’ll go any length to reveal the truth to the world. And to publish a winning story.

But the longer Bronwyn stays around Zilla and her adorable children, the more she starts to doubt. Nothing looks as she thought. And she’s falling for her mark on top of it.

When all the secrets are uncovered, will the career-boosting news story be worth losing a love of a lifetime? And is Zilla’s sudden passion for a woman a real thing or was it just a flash in the pan?

The most part the main character was into her head a lot and that got me bored a number of times but thankfully the writing style kinda changed or perhaps i got used to it...whichever, the later part was worth the patience.

fun

A quick and fun read. Sometimes it takes false pretenses to find the one for you. You just have to take a chance and forgive. The mindfulness of seeing what’s important and letting go of the rest.

A Sweet Story With A Twist!

I love this story and the main characters. Bronwyn and Zella were both at the same crossroad in their lives. Bronwyn is an investigative reporter, waiting for her big break. Her boss gives her an undercover assignment. She has to change her name and become a nanny. The person she is investigating is Zella, who owns and runs a non-profit for sick kids. Her boss received an email tip that funds are missing and there is a coverup. Bronwyn is all excited at this chance but could do without the kids which she is not normally a fan of. But she will have to fake that too. But when Bronwyn meets Zella, both have a chemical breakdown in their brains. Bronwyn realizes that this job is not going to be easy. This was a well put together storyline with a couple of issues that really doesn’t affect the story.

Being a journalist is difficult when all there is to write about is Ski hills, however, when Bronwyn is assigned to get a story about some missing million dollars from a nonprofit, she was apprehensive at first as she has to go undercover as a nanny to two children and she had no experience. However, with plenty of research, Bronwyn may just make this work.

Zilla is trying to rectify what her soon-to-be ex-husband did, she takes on a nanny to help with her two children. Little did she know that this woman was doing strange things to her and there was an undeniable force pulling her to her.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I highly recommended it 🥵

Sometimes I wonder if there is a written law somewhere about the pacing of lesbian romances, no matter what genre. In some cases it really bugs me, in others it more or less ruins the experience for me, but this one was different, even though it seemed to stick to the concept and yet not. Thanks to the two points of view and getting to see Zilla and Bronwen/Colleen's thoughts it was perfectly obvious what was going to happen at the 80% Mark, even how it would be happening and ending. All that didn't matter because of the excellent characterisations and amazing writing. A well enjoyable experience.

Really sweet romance, highly unbelievable but fun, just dont believe it's real

In reality, its unlikely a woman who doesn't like children would become a nanny to get a story, she really becomes to love the chikdren and their straight motherIts the fairy story when you have wonderful childten abd you'll lear to love them and their straight mothdf will leatn to love you and come out. Do not try this 5yourself you will be burt, but this is fantady romance novel, its a good read and I liked it,. I also read paranormal books and their just as unbelievable and I don't expect to meet a werewolf or vampire, do a good read has nothing to do with reality.

Entertaining romantic story

An entertaining F/F romance. Bronwyn is a undercover reporter investigating embezzlement at the company the main suspect Zilla works at. Undercover as her children's nanny she begins to fall for her. Can she discover the truth, right her deepening feelings and will she be forgiven when it all comes out. A well written romance with great characters, cute kids, secrets, betrayals and some heat. An enjoyable read.

wonderful read

A pretty crappy situation brings Bronwyn & Zilla together, along with Zilla’s 2 awesome kids, can a situation that has the potential to end badly actually bring happiness instead? Maybe! a great story, heart touching and lovely, with great characters, well written and a must read to know, will happiness be found? Will Zilla & Bronwyn overcome the crappy situation they are in? Will a snail be a pivotal player in this story? Read and find out.

Good F/F romance

I enjoyed this F/F romance. The characters are likable and feel real, and the circumstances are original and entertaining. Even the steamy parts are good, with lots of creativity and passion. My only criticism is that some copy editing is needed: punctuation, word choice. All in all, an engaging and satisfyng read.

Bronwyn is a reporter sent on an undercover mission as a nanny, to discover the story behind some missing money. Zilla is the CFO of the non-profit with the missing money, and straight mother of two lovely kids.
This is a really good story - Zilla seems to be a haunted woman, but comes across as honest, caring and forgiving. Bronwyn, under the guise of the nanny Colette, is very deep and thoughtful, caring towards her charges Lion and Paddy, and cares about Zilla too.
However, you can’t base a relationship on a lie, and this is what Bronwyn is trying to do.
This is a book with a lot of warmth, a beautiful love story between Zilla and Bronwyn, lots of stress and soul-searching for both of them, and two wonderful children.
