When it comes to her career, Josie Sharp sees things with perfect clarity, but her love life? Well, that’s completely out of focus. Coming off a rough breakup, she’s insecure and hesitant about men, especially ones as sexy as firefighter Marco Patelli. Although she may be wary of his intentions, she’d have to be a fool to pass up the chance to be with a man like him. And foolishness is not in her genes.
Josie is nothing like the women Marco normally goes for, but something about the shy photographer’s vulnerability calls to his dominant side. As he helps Josie explore her sexuality, Marco realizes there is so much more to Josie than meets the eye.
But when lies and insecurities collide, Marco is going to have to fight to prove to Josie that what they have goes so much deeper than sex.
I am happily married to an amazing man. We have two children and the requisite 2 dogs.
After picking up my first romance book in my teens, I was hooked on the happily ever after. Sure it's often a bumpy road to get there, but then the best things in life are worth fighting for.
Josie is off to take some pictures of Firemen for a calendar they want to sell. When her uncle comes out with the men, she is surprised by one of them. Josie’s uncle is the captain of the department as she was heating up from the hot bodies she is surrounded by, her uncle keeps glowering at her. The situation is pretty funny. Marco’s turn comes up as he attempts to flirt with Josie she wants to flirt back but, is not sure of what is going on. Josie’s ex finance cheated on her saying she was not good enough and boring. Her self esteem is not the best in the world right now and she is no the typical kind of girl Marco goes for. He calls to take her out to dinner and things start to hear up from there.
I loved this quick read. You find yourself rooting for both Josie and Marco. There are a few misunderstandings along the way that keeps the reader glued to the book. It was a nice romance with some hot steamy scenes. The writer’s writing style is remarkable. Fast paced and exciting. I will be looking for more books from this author.
