Not much is know about Horace Jones but he truly had many magnificent works and made his impact in London and the realm of architecture. His most famous works are his marketplaces and the Tower Bridge but there are many more worth knowing and they are all mentioned in this book. Working on a job site us Engineer often clash heads with Architects, it seems like things were no different in Horace's time in the 1800's, I guess some things never change LOL. I think Horace is the type of Architect most clients today strive to find, someone who is willing to use modern materials, considers the function of the building, and has a fusion of may different architectural styles. Its a shame that many of his contemporizes didn't see the value of his work but in the modern world we would appreciate his approach.
