Presented to the Feral Alpha

Rate this book
Ten years ago, my fated mate walked away from our bond. Now he’s back to claim what’s his. Knot a chance.

The thing they don’t tell you about fated mates is they hold the power to destroy you.

When I felt the bond between us, anticipation filled me — I thought I would finally get to meet my mate and start my new life. But then he vanished, leaving me alone and broken. Every time the wind blew, I imagined it's him coming to claim me, but he never did.

I’m done waiting on this selfish Alphahole. After tonight, I’m running as far away as my four paws can carry me.

Of course, now is the time he finally decides to return and claim me. My mate is a feral Alpha, a shifter on the brink of madness and as likely to rip my throat out as mate me.

Why is it always the crazy ones that are hotter than sin?

As much as I try to resist, my body responds to his primal magnetism. His touch sets my skin ablaze with desire and his scent seeps deep into my core, sending me into a frenzied heat.

I can't run until my heat is over and I need my mate to help me through it. My inner Omega compels me to stay and give him a second chance, to let this feral Alpha claim me as his own, but I’m not so easy to convince.

Presented to the Feral Alpha is a standalone MF wolf shifter Omegaverse romance with a happy ending. Tropes include: rejected mates, second chance, and fated mates. This book is for adults only and includes steamy scenes. Full list of trigger warnings in the foreword.

Bridget Blake is an Australian living in the United Kingdom who devours smutty stories like it’s her job. If she can’t find what she wants to read, she writes it herself. The filthier, the better.

Her love of romance began with reading fan fiction on her family’s dial-up computer under the cloak of midnight, and her love for paranormal romance grew from there. Growly Alphas and sassy Omegas are what currently get her going.

When she isn’t writing something dirty, she enjoys gaming with her husband and cuddling their geriatric cat. She’s lived in coastal surfing villages, outback Australian mining towns, central London, and now the British countryside.

Her experiences shape her stories and she believes reading should be a delightful escape with happy endings. I’m an independent author and open to suggestions.

Good story with a nice spin on the rejected mate trope with the feral alpha spin.

Aubrey was a little OTT at times for me but she was a strong omega with a backbone, wanted to make her own choices.

Great job Bridget 😊

This is my first book by this author and I will be returning for more!

Now I love an Omegaverse book and I love a rejected mates book… this author combines both of those and left me wanting more.

The fmc in this book was a mix of shy and strong, she knew what she wanted but at the same time she wanted her mate the same way she wanted freedom. After being left waiting by her man she definitely made him grovel good to get back in her good graces.

I hope Bridget writes more books like this because I will devour them.

I found this to be a fun story focusing on the meeting of Alpha and Omega, after 10 years of the Alpha rejecting the Omega the first time. I love how we focused on the emotions of both main characters, Liam and Audrey, and we learned how and why Liam had initially rejected Audrey. The focus on forgiveness was good and I do think Liam did a good amount of groveling to make up for all the hurt.

It's a fast paced story and an easy read, so I had fun with these wolf shifters.

Aubrey I want to hug her telling her everything is going to be okay she waited at the annual moon’s light waiting to be claimed by her alpha so hurt that he didn’t come forward to claim her and years later ten to be exact each year standing under the moon light waiting but of course he hasn’t claimed her and tired of it decided to walk away from it all when she is being used an alliance walking away is her choice. Liam sexy as all get out alpha wolf with a lot of issues but heart sort of in the right place nearly feral knowing how his mate is, not stepping up to claim her and his reasoning is he wanted to be a better man, set enough to care for them so putting in the work over the past ten years. Now he is ready to claim his mate but stepping up to claim her only to have her reject him the same way he rejected her she is hot with him. But things are going to be easy for them as they work to build the bond there is another who wants to claim her despite the fact she already has a fated mate and they are willing to do whatever to claim a women who doesn’t want to be claimed by him anyway. But with her heat approaching he knows he needs to take care of her physically and be careful with him going feral and growing closer without even trying and what she has been going through has shown her just how strong she really is and can be for them because they are going to need each other to get through what headed their way will he be there to protect her, will they see the truth in those around them, does he get back into her good graces, will their claiming finally happen, will she understand his reasoning, will she accepts it and can these two who wanted happiness get it.

The constant references to a person’s “alpha” or “omega” or “wolf” as a separate entity from the self was really grating in this book. Generally in omegaverse, one’s designation is as much a part of them as their gender. Sometimes authors play on the separation between those parts of the self, just like you might see a line in a book such as (this is just a random sentence off the top of my head) “The human in me wants to leave her alone, since she’s been through a lot. But the man wants to kiss her senseless.” And that kinda makes sense in that context, but if the book kept doing the human/man dichotomy thing over and over again, you might start to think, “uh, are you not a man? Cause you bring up the differences between your own thoughts and your ‘man thoughts’ kind of a lot…” and in this book, it’s basically being done twice over, with the inner omega and the inner wolf not being treated as one and the same. It’s just too distracting.

What would’ve been interesting is if the author had put the dual POV to better use; emphasizing the psychological separation between wolf vs woman vs omega for the FMC’s sections, and then showing that the feral alpha’s wolf and man are one and the same. But nope. The MMC seems to have even less control over his wolf than is typical of shifter PNRs; before a shift, he spends time “convincing” his wolf not to misbehave, and then as soon as he shifts, the wolf just does whatever it wants anyway. Super unusual.

A full 20% of this book is dedicated entirely to one single, ultra-gushy, (honesty kinda horrifying) sex scene. It just goes on and on, and the dirty talk was… *shudder* I was not titillated; I wanted it to end.

The ending is super-predictable and super -rushed, and the FMC who was stuck babysitting and never free to live alone ends up mated and pregnant within the year. Yay.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Aubrey is an omega. Bred to make a life and home with an alpha. At her first Presentation Ritual, Aubrey smelled her alpha. But after hours, he never claimed her. Waiting and participating in the ritual, hoping that her alpha would show up. It never happened. Now faced with her last and final ritual 10 years later, Aubrey has decided to leave False Creek Forest. She knows an omega can be claimed by any alpha after 10 years of rituals without being claimed. No one believes that she has a connection to an alpha and cannot be claimed by anyone else.

Liam Billings has preparing to come back and claim his omega. He knew that this would be his last chance. He wasn’t expecting anger that came from her. Aubrey made one request. Do not mark me during my heat no matter how much I beg. Her body was made for Liam but he knew he had a lot to make up for.

I have read a lot of books about the Omegaverse. I feel like Bridget did a lot of research and painted the most complete picture of the process than I had ever heard. Readers will feel everything that Aubrey feels and will understand why she feels that way. Learning Liam and Aubrey’s story will make readers want to believe in forgiveness and second chances. That’s not where this story ends. It’s not just about them. There are some adjacent storylines that converge with the couple. Can these two overcome their past?

After reading & loving Bridget Blake's Happy Birthday Omega - I was excited to dive into more of her work.

I've only read a few books where one half of the fated mates rejects the bond. In this case, Liam has a good reason - but poor Aubrey, she's spent a decade hurting and steeling herself against what will happen if they ever meet again. Faced with an impending heat and Liam's feral status means a delicate balance of meeting physical needs while also creating an emotional bond. I like the way Blake balances this. Especially honoring Aubrey's strength and determination with Liam's appreciation for her spirit.

Speaking of heat! If you like sexy scenes that are chapters long and from both perspectives - Blake has definitely brought the heat. Add in Liam's drive to care for Aubrey in sometimes adorable ways. It manages to be gloriously savage and delightfully sweet at the same time.

A bit of a romantic suspense element really amps up the pacing. I could not put my iPad down in the last half. I enjoyed the HEA for Liam and Aubrey and so happy they got a "one year later" epilogue.

As written, this stands completely on its own. However, I can see how Blake could launch a series and write more books in this world. If I get to vote - I want Freya's book please.

I received an advanced copy of the ebook from the author and am leaving an honest review.

She Wasn’t Going to Wait Any Longer For Her Mate!

Aubrey had waited years for her fated mate to claim her. Making plans to leave the pack to live her life as she wanted to after years of him not returning to claim her, she was shocked when he suddenly turned up to finally claim her but she wasn’t happy.

Liam had a valid reason why he’d waited so long to come back to claim her and it didn’t help that his Wolf could sometimes become feral.

Although Liam was a powerful Alpha, he was so caring with Aubrey and wanted what was best for her. He knew he had to make a lot up to her but he was willing to try after all everything he had done the last ten years was for her but getting through her heat was his first challenge.

A hot, passionate, steamy read full of emotion, yes as an Alpha he could be savage but it was only to please his mates needs. I loved both their characters and how they shone on the pages.

If you like to read Wolf shifter stories with a HEA, this one is well worth a read!.

Once I started reading, I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting! Loved it and wanted more!.I really enjoyed this .I thought Liam's backstory was interesting . Then Liam had to work on himself to be worthy of Aubrey. Him working on himself to be worthy of the Aubrey after deciding he wasn't good enough was sweet and made up for not stepping up before he did. He planned everything he needed to do to make sure she knew he would be a good provider for and their pups. I loved how everything he did seemed to be for her in some way. Aubrey is presented every year only to be left knowing her alpha is out there. Liam has his own reasons for not claiming her. When he finally comes there are a lot of secrets that will be exposed and danger that they must face together before they can find their own sense of happiness. And I was so happy she put an epilog in . Hopefully there will be another in the same series

The couple: Liam and Aubrey

Romance trope: omegaverse
Length: 253 pages

Plot: Aubrey is an omega and knows she has a mate out there. She's known since her first presentation ceremony 10 years ago. He alpha connected with her but then never came for her. She's done waiting; after this year's ceremony, she's leaving. Of course, that's when he shows up. Liam has good reasons for having stayed away, but Aubrey isn't sure she wants to hear those reasons. She'll stay for a little while, but only to see her through her heat, and then she'll be leaving.

Commentary: Little bit of angst in this one with the rejected mate feel. I simultaneously wanted Aubrey to give Liam a minute to explain himself and I wanted her to run off so he would have to chase her and feel some of what she must have felt. I could easily see both viewpoints; he knew he needed to fix himself so that she would be safe around him and she was hurt because ten years is a long time to essentially abandon someone. He was a good alpha though - strong and overbearing when needed but accommodating and soft when needed also. The little twist with the other alpha was interesting and kept some of the tension up.

Presented to the Feral Alpha is a delightful surprise using tropes together and using ones you wouldn't typically combine altogether. I would also say that if you like shifter romance but aren't sure about Omegaverse, this one isn't as intense as many that are out there, so feel free to use this one to dip a toe in. Definitely, a recommendation if you like any of these and some of the tropes of fated mates, second chances, and even some drama to overcome.

The main leads in this are really interesting and dynamic and don't fall into their typical tropes, which is lovely. I also felt like, for as quick of a read as this felt, the store, spice, and environment felt really good and like a good balance.

Spoilers-----
I loved loved loved the tropes in this, beyond shifters and omega verse; I love grumpy cinnamon roll, fated mates in a different way, and the ML trying to overcome to be better for his mate (even if it leads to issues). AND idk, but I love that they both woodwork.

A good story

Oh boy. This whole book was basically a spicy scene. 🥵🥵 I loooove spicey books but I did think this one needed a bit more story to go with it.

Poor Aubrey found her mate 10 years ago at her first Ritual, but he never claimed her. In fact, she never saw him again until the last year she would be presented. The year she had a plan to leave her pack behind to be on her own after living 10 years feeling rejected. I won't add any spoilers.

I liked the idea. I liked the spice. There were a few grammatical mistakes sprinklekled in, too, but I didn't mind those either. I wish we had gotten a more in-depth look at the packs and what Audrey's life was like over those 10 years. I feel like I wanted to know more about the hierarchy or pack life and Omegas. I really wanted to know more about Aubrey and Liam as a couple.
I'm glad I read this book, and I will try a few more from Bridget Blake.

This is the first book I have read by Bridget Blake, and I wasn't disappointed. As an omegaverse fan, it's not my typical omegaverse book. The hero is too sweet and caring for me. While he's strong, brave, and an excellent fighter, he never forces the heroine to do anything she doesn't want to. He's not the anti-hero/alphahole popular in many other omegaverse books I've read. Here's my take on this book:

* Storyline is original and the writing is solid; I was never bored
* Not a slow burn, but not straight into action either
* Heat, nesting, knotting, and mating mark are all included
* No cheating, no dubious consent, no cliffhangers

While this wasn't my typical choice for omegaverse, I would definitely give another Bridget Blake book a chance!

I guess omegaverse is not for me

There is an interesting story here, but not enough plot to keep my interest even being an omega doesn’t mean being a doormat.

I love paranormal romance (rejected mates, second chance mates, urban fantasy, standard paranormal romance, harem, reverse harem) and almost all shifter books, but the omegaverse genere is not for me.

The females are little too obedient to the point that they lose there dreams.

Also needs 50 percent less “happy times” and 50 percent more plot.

This is the second omegaverse book I tried and the first one had more plot and a stronger omega, this one had a weak willed omega that lost her dreams.

Overall could’ve been better - but probably a genere mismatch for me

The technical aspects in the writing are terrible

The writing flip flops in a single paragraph between present and past tense, some sentences contain both. The author needs to realize in a current situation you stick with the present tense and don't flop back and forth to the past tense, e.g. having the male lead think he "trusted" his wolf in a fight as if he no longer did, when instead this should be present tense. And as much as I would normally do as the author asked and not report these to Amazon and provide a list directly to the author there are too many to address in that way. Suffice it to stay simple normal rules of grammar need to be applied throughout this, an editor would be crucial.

📚 Presented to the Feral Alpha by Bridget Blake📚 #3 of 2024

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️/5

My first omegaverse book and I wasn’t disappointed! I really loved the storyline and I’m glad it wasn’t too complicated for my intro into omegaverse books.

After waiting 10 years for her Alpha to come and claim her, Aubrey planned to run away but her plans fail when her Alpha mate appears on the 10th year presentation for mating. But there’s one issue…. He’s feral!

They’re story is about how she copes and learns to trust her feral Alpha after making her wait for a decade. Lots of drama & smutty scenes. I really liked this one.

This was an interesting take on the fated mate genre. The h has been suffering for years without her mate, who she thinks rejected her and walked away. I feel for her, and am right with her when she plans to runaway. Until...her mate arrives. I love that he hadn't just rejected her but rather put off claiming her until he could do right by her. Of course, the H's father is a villain, and the H and h face adversity between they two, and then the a-hole father. Good read. Would love to read the next one, especially if it is about the tiny omega and the GIANT alpha.

Another great read from Bridget!

Sometimes life does not go the way you think it should.

Omega Aubrey has waited 10 years for her Alpha to claim her and plans in leaving her pack and home if he doesn't show after the Luna celebration.

Feeling rejected by her mate who knows who she is and has been ignoring her, she thinks she has no choice but to run.

Liam is an Alpha with a past that makes you feel horrible for him.

The two of these characters are well written. And I enjoyed reading this book.

Especially the spicy scenes.

Aubrey was going to run away after the Presentation Ritual since 10 years have passed, her alpha stood her up, and hasn’t claimed her. But when he finally shows 🔥 this book is everything! I absolutely loved her alpha, Liam. He is sweet, tentative, and all he wants to do is provide for her but he is known as “feral.” He lived feral for years and had to stay away from her until he wasn’t a threat. There is big twist in this that I was not expecting. I loved how everything finally came together at the end though and I have to say Liam is probably one of my favorite alpha characters.

I loved Presented to the Feral Alpha: An Omegaverse Rejected Mates Romance. Aubrey has waited 10 years for her Alpha but when he doesn’t show this year she has a plan to run. Liam is finally ready to claim his mate. Too bad she’s angry and not ready to forgive. This is actually a really sweet story of the Alpha wanting to give his Omega a good life. I loved the dynamic between Aubrey and Liam. Throw in a bit of suspense at the end and you have a great story. I would definitely recommend this book.

This book is just okay for me. This is mostly sexcapades. The first chapter or two is the omega whining about how her mate abandoned her. Then when they finally get together at the tenth ritual, the whole story is sex! There's a few bits thrown in there, but not enough for me. Everyone has their own opinion, so read this and form yours.

This was a fun start to a new wolf/omegaverse romance series. I did enjoy the plot/world building and the writing was pretty solid but the storyline was very predictable and I found myself skimming the smut to try to find plot. Don’t get me wrong, It was pretty good and I would probably give the next book a try but I didn’t feel much chemistry/ intrigue.

Groveling and Spice!

This book has a lovely balance of young heartbreak, top-notch groveling, grey backstory, and deliciously detailed spice to earn all the stars.
I love a good rejected-mate story. I love it even more when it’s a…. Valid isn’t the right word, maybe justifiable…. reason for a “rejection” to happen.
And no OW drama!
The lengths the MMC went through to make up for the lost years sets a high standard that more (book) Alphas should aspire to reach

Aubrey has been waiting ten years for her mate. She knows he is out there are she felt him ten years ago. If he doesn’t show this year then she will walk away forever.
Liam has been bettering himself for his mate and finally decides now is the time to claim her.
This is a good book about self worth and good communication so your partner has a better understanding of your choices.
There are some great scenes, heated romance and scary scenes, along with a nice epilogue. This is a good book.

I've read a lot of Omegaverse before, so the concept wasn't new for me. What was unique about this book was the presentation ritual the packs had for their Omegas. That was definitely an interesting idea, which the author used wonderfully to portray the emotional angst Aubrey felt when Liam didn't claim her during her first presentation as an 18-year-old Omega.

Thanks to Booksprout for a copy of this book.

The Feral Alpha . . .

Alpha Liam walked away from his fated mate 10 years ago to keep her safe. Now he has come back for his Omega Aubrey, but is she willing to accept him after what she has gone through? Her heat is coming on and she will need him. But someone else wants her and she is kidnapped as she sends her fearful cry down the mate bond before she is knocked unconscious. Will these two ever get their HEA as fated mates?
