A casual and knowledgeable account of Bourbon whisky. Bernie gives a clear and honest description of the evolution of whisky in the United States, and the influence of historical events, like the Bottled-in-Bond Act and Prohibition, on the whiskies we drink today. If you want to increase your knowledge of Bourbon with an easy-to-read book, this is it!

A charming easy read containing much good information on the past and present of Kentucky bourbon. The writing and editing, while quite unprofessional, add to the overall effect in a largely positive way.

An interesting read, especially the part on reading labels. The first part of the book is about the history and understanding about what makes a "bourbon". The last half the book is about visiting kentucky and bourbon related spots such as distillers and barrel makers.

informative and casually written. Best part is how to read a label.
