Freddy Brown is a recovering drug addict working as a barista. Someone gives him a glove that endows him with super powers when he wears it, and Freddy tries to use his powers for good, but he finds that he can inadvertently cause a lot of harm as well. It's rather a grim story but very well told. It is also interesting that the glove is analogous to drugs, because Freddy becomes addicted to using it to stop the throbbing pain in his hand. A very good, unusual take on the superhero genre.
