**Book 3 ARC Review**

Frankie and Xavier are as explosive as ever! Thrown fist, weddings, and revealed secrets!
After arriving back in the states, Frankie is trying to figure out what to do with her life now that she's pregnant... again.
Immediately following the knew knowledge of Frankie's pregnancy, Xavier is on a plane to the states to win back his family.
There is a lot of back and forth of feelings and internal emotions, Xavier is less of a tyrant and keeps his aggression in check (most of the time), and Imogene is still a b****!

First comes love 4
Then comes lies 4.75
Last comes fate 4.5

Nicole French is a new author to me but I did enjoy this a lot and I may just read the rest of her backlist that’s on KU if I’m still in the mood before life gets in the way.

Since I binged the whole thing in a few days I decided to just write 1 review for the whole trilogy.

I so enjoyed this! It was fun, it was angsty, there was some grovelling, it was so so enjoyable!!

For first comes love, I loved the billionaire trope so much, I adored the roles her
family took on in hers and her daughter’s lives, and in such a small book I didn’t expect to see such a big storyline packed in there, but I’m glad it was because I guess it needed to set the scene for the rest of the trilogy. I didn’t see a lot of character development from the characters that really needed it the most, especially in the first book but started to see the characters growth from the end of the second to the third book.

The second book was a bit more heart wrenching, their life in London was not as happy and showed that their lives as they are would not be able to work together even if they are able to overcome the ocean between them, and Xavi had a lot to work out on his own if he wanted to make a family with Francesca and not just be co-parenting.

Last comes fate was the best in terms of seeing them understand where each other are in their respective lives and how they perceive each other, it was also so nice to see them finally get together properly and take each others’ sides and stand up for each other against everything (and everyone) they were up against, all in all a fun, yet angsty, bingeable series. I’d give it an overall 4,5 stars.

4.25stars-LAST COMES FATE is the third and final instalment in Nicole French’s contemporary, adult THE SILVER SPOON erotic, romance trilogy focusing on thirty-two year old chef/restaurateur Xavier Sato Parker, and twenty-seven year old, single mother, primary school teacher Francesca Zola. THE SILVER SPOON trilogy is a spin off from the author’s ROSE GOLD trilogy. Francesca is Matthew Zola’s sister. LAST COMES FATE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up several weeks after the events of book two THEN COME LIES.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately five years earlier, Francesca Zola spent one wonderful month with Xavier Sato but early one morning, Xavier ghosted our heroine without looking back. Fast forward to present day wherein Francesca Zola is a primary school teacher and single mother, having given birth to Xavier’s daughter four years earlier. Francesca tried to find Xavier without any luck, and five years had passed without contact or knowledge. A holiday party would bring Francesca face to face with her past, a past that knew nothing about the daughter she was raising on her own.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Francesca and Xavier) LAST COMES FATE follows in the aftermath of a misunderstanding forcing Francesca to walk away from the man that she loved but Francesca had just discovered she was pregnant with their second child, and Xavier was refusing to walk away from his newly discovered birthright. Refusing to force Xavier to choses sides, Francesca walks away without looking back but all is not well in Xavier’s fight for the ‘crown’, and Francesca continues to be the target of jealousy and greed. As Francesca and Xavier’s struggling relationship continues to grow, our heroine will discover the truth about Xavier’s past.

The world building continues to focus on Xavier’s birthright; his royal blood; the fight for the title, money and home; as well as Xavier’s need to claim Francesca and their daughter as his own. As Xavier’s extended family continues to throw fuel on the proverbial fires of greed and lies, Francesca must come to terms with the betrayal from one of her own.

The relationship between Francesca and Xavier continues to be contentious. Francesca is stubborn, and refuses to accept Xavier’s proclamations of love. Xavier is about to offer our heroine the world but her inability to move beyond her ‘butt-hurt’ feelings, places everyone in the direct line of fire. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful, questionable, envious and twisted secondary and supporting characters most of whom we have met in the previous instalment. Most of the people in Xavier’s life are out for themselves, while the majority of Francesca’s extended family are supportive and protective of our story line heroine.

LAST COMES FATE is a character driven story of power and greed, secrets and lies, fate and family, relationships and love. The premise is dramatic and intense ; the characters are animated and spirited but Francesca’s attitude often left something to be desired. The romance is tender and provocative.

Last Comes Fate is here, the finale to Xavier and Francesca’s story in Nicole French’s Silver Spoon trilogy series.
Continuing from the cliffhanger ending in Then Comes Lies, Nicole had us diving right back into their story for the last time.

This conclusion of an adventurous journey had us riding through major waves courtesy of all the drama and conflict that seemed to just continue to pour out.
All with the added twists and turns that ultimately led to some shocking surprises and some that were guessable IMO, having figured it out before the revelations were made.
Ultimately making it no surprise Xavier and Francesca had their work cut out for them. Particularly when it came to trying to deal with their own issues within the relationship they shared, resulting in a deeply, super emotionally charged whirlwind, courtesy of the many emotions and feelings explored.

Honestly with everything that was going on all throughout, this real page turner from Nicole had you hooked.
Even more so when it came to the continuation of exploring Xavier and Francesca’s relationship, considering the bumps from their many ups, downs and highs and lows they faced and needed to overcome.

Yet again Nicole continued to do a good job when it came to the continuation of character development for Xavier and Francesca.
The thorough exploration allowed us to see more breakdowns before eventually rebuilding with some changes from the growth that the two experienced and endured through.

In Xavier’s case, Nicole finally and completely exposed him to the very core once and for all IMO, paving the way for him to prove to Francesca she was it to him. And that he was willing to do everything in his power no matter the case to back it up and show his worthiness of her.

When it came to Francesca, she definitely held her own.
The fact that she stayed strong within her stance of not giving in to Xavier, despite her feelings getting in the way and trying to sway her. Having made him work for it.
Given all the pain and heartache he had put her through enough times.

Again Xavier and Francesca had me deep in the emotions, courtesy of the deeply heartfelt moments, as well as the aching moments that had you in a chokehold from the way Nicole captured your attention in lock and key.
You couldn't help to fall down the well of overt emotions because of it.
Kid you not, there were many times for me where the couple had me choked up, feeling all that Xavier and Francesca were encountering. Considering how thorough Nicole was in opening the two up to us through their inner monologue that told us all we needed to know.

Following along Xavier and Francesca in their chaotic and hectic journey was a real whirlwind, all of which Nicole made worthwhile.
Last Comes Fate ended up being another great read, having enjoyed it thoroughly.
And the perfect ending to Silver Spoons trilogy series overall.

French delivers a sizzling conclusion in Last Comes Fate, the last book in the Silver Spoon Trilogy. This second chance romance is filled with twists and turns to keep you reading until the very end.

The story picks up right where it left off in Then Comes Lies with the shocking news that Francesca is once again pregnant with Xavier’s baby. After they were given the chance to explore what their lives could be if she and their daughter were to move to England permanently. It quickly become apparent that they didn’t belong in his world, especially not when he started assuming the role as the Duke of Kendal. A role that presented them with obstacles when it comes to their relationship, forcing them to pull apart. But Xavier is not one to give up on his family and he is about to embark on a self-discovering journey to get his family back no matter what. It’s when their family is once again threatened that they both have to face their fears and lean on each other if they plan to have a future together.

I loved reading Last Comes Fate, we truly get to see Xavier and Francesca learn to fight for each other. We get to learn about their fears and of all the obstacles coming their way. Xavier becomes more protective when he finds out that he is going to be a dad again and he doesn’t want to miss a single thing this time around. While Francesca is trying really hard to put her kids first, seeing how Xavier is trying to protect them she slowly starts to let her guard down. With so many shocking twists, this rollercoaster romance will leave you wanting for more. I would highly recommend checking out the trilogy, you will not regret it! :)

Last Comes Fate is the conclusion I've been desperately waiting for in Xavier and Frankie's captivating story! After all the betrayal and cruelty Frankie endured in the previous book, the bombshell of her pregnancy had me on edge, eager to know what would happen next for this complex couple.

My heart broke for Frankie as she navigated the challenges of her pregnancy while grappling with feelings of rejection. I couldn't help but empathize with her every step of the way. Xavier had a lot of making up to do, and I was right there, eagerly observing as he worked to do right by Frankie, Sofia, and their little bundle of joy with no name yet.

Their journey is far from easy, with creepy stalkers, mysterious letters, overzealous Zolas, paparazzi, and even kidnappers thrown into the mix. But the bond between this Fated Couple is unbreakable, and together, they face every obstacle with courage and determination. Their love may not follow a traditional path, but that's what makes their story all the more captivating.

As the book unfolds, it's evident that Nicole French has delivered a wonderfully satisfying conclusion. The ending is just perfect, leaving me with a warm heart and a smile on my face.

I can't wait to dive into the next adventure as I'm excitedly gearing up to read Joni's story. Nicole French's writing has completely ensnared me, and I'm thrilled to continue exploring the world she has crafted. This trilogy is a must-read for any romance lover, and I'm so grateful to have experienced this emotional journey with Xavier and Frankie!

Wow, what an ending to this series. The Silver Spoon series has really been a rollercoaster of emotion for me but I really didn't expect the ending, that they would get a HEA. The drama and suspense and even mystery that surrounding the His Grace, aka Xavier Parks and then the mystery surrounding the stalkerish details surrounding the union of Xavier and Frankie and their baby Sophia. It was so emotional this book. We don't know why Xavier may or may not have kissed Imogene. We find out that Imogene has had a crush on Xavier since she was little, but she was too young for Xavi and he loved his BF, Lucy and would never consent to any kind of relationship with her younger sister. Then we find out that Frankie and Xavier's baby may have to echocardiogram to see if there is a heart murmur or something wrong with their baby that is cooking in Frankie's body. I like that Xavier has been in therapy for his anger issues and that he and Frankie are finally trying to make their relationship work. I loved this series and especially this book and I see that at the end we find that we will have another story to read from the Zola family. Joni has a story coming sometime next year. This story was well written, and I can't wait to read it again soon, that how good it was. Get this book and this series or any one of Nicole Franch's books she is an amazing writer.

An emotional finale

The finale has arrived for Nicole French's Silver Spoon trilogy. LAST COMES FATE is the conclusion to Frankie and Xavier's tumultuous love story and it was perfect.

Frankie loves Xavier with all her heart, and now she needs him to prove that he can put her, Sofia, and their baby first. Xavier loves his family deeply, but he has some very important decisions to make. Will he make the right ones, or will he devastate Frankie once again? Once his decision was made, Xavier became a changed man, and nothing was going to stand in his way. I loved that Frankie was finally able to find her own inner strength, belief, and learned to stand up for herself. Her family was amazing in their support and love for her, she was so lucky to have them.

Once again this was another emotional read, yes, I shed a few tears along the way, but they were worth it. It was a book of twists and turns, miscommunication, character growth, tears, laughter, and a never-ending love, all combining to make Frankie and Xavier's story unforgettable.

I cannot recommend this trilogy highly enough. I look forward to seeing what Nicole comes up with next.

✨Book 3 in the Trilogy

This book was the perfect way to end this trilogy and tie up all the loose ends! 😍❤️

Xavier & Francesca have been on a whirlwind of a relationship. From book one, when you learn how they met, to Frankie hiding her daughter from Xavier and him finding out. From book two, where Frankie & Sofia go with Xavier back home and see where he lives, to the troubles the face, to the surprise pregnancy again for Frankie. To now this book, where Xavier needs to do the ultimate groveling to get Frankie back for good. He wants Frankie to be his wife for Sofia and the new baby to all be one family, but of course, there are surprises along the way.

I loved how this book ended. It was the perfect way to showcase what a second chance romance really is about. You could see how fiercely loving Frankie was with her daughter + pregnancy, that she would choose them over anything in this world. I was so glad for Xavier to finally do everything he needed to in order for them to be a family forever. You could see how much these characters have grown throughout the three books and it was just a perfect way to wrap it all up! ❤️

Last Comes Fate is the concluding chapter to Frankie & Xavier's journey, and man they went through the fire, especially my girl Frankie. Xavier has some demons that do have the power to make wrong decisions on more than one occasion, and he's hurt Frankie a ton, however, he's determined to win his family back. I loved the fact that Xavier was willing to change his ways despite the struggles in doing so, and he's got some serious game with the grovel these days. Frankie wants her family whole, but she's a tad bit skeptical because she really wants Xavier to put them first, and this round, she isn't willing to settle for anything less. Nicole French wrote these amazing characters who went through so much growth that I was floored because I'm not going to lie, I was very enraged with Xavier's actions, and even got frustrated that Frankie didn't stand up for herself, not to mention I felt her pain so it hurt my heart. There are even twists to keep me guessing all the way to the end, and I certainly cannot get enough of that since it's totally my jam. Their journey was an emotionally charged journey that I'll revisit in the future so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I so loved the continuation of the series - this author has a wonderful gift, she subtly pulls us into the story, which in turn, can't put down.

Xavier and Frankie's roller coaster relationship continues into book 3, and Frankie is again, pregnant....
After the events of the summer in England, Frankie and Soph return to New York, to the family that has always been there to support them. Mathew and Nina have gotten married, and wants Frankie and her daughter to live in the house. Eventually Xavi comes back to NY, and works very hard to win Frankie back - I loved the effort he puts into this endeavor, eventually they given in to their mutual attraction, and Frankie's very strong hormonal pregnancy needs - only Xavier can satisfy. They become a family again, and eventually flush out the people who have been undermining both Xavi and home in England, and Frankie everywhere.

Really enjoyed the outburst towards to end of the book, when Xavier gave everyone a dressing down and finally, the backing up of his family - words that needed to be said regarding the love of his life, Francesca and their children.

I will keep the faith

"Last Comes Fate" by Nicole French is a novel that left me with mixed emotions. Having read previous works by the author, I was excited to delve into this one, but it presented some challenges. The book's first half felt lackluster and somewhat uneventful, making it difficult to engage with the story entirely. Additionally, I missed that dramatic defining moment in Francesca's journey that would have brought depth and transformation to her character. While the change from declining to accepting was there, it lacked a decisive turning point.

However, the middle to about three-quarters of the book was a saving grace, as it was made for those who love the board game Clue, with an intriguing mystery that elevated the overall plot. The blend of historical and contemporary romance elements brought a unique flavor to the narrative, making it stand out among similar titles. I also appreciated how the book defied the typical trope of ending with a wedding, keeping the story refreshingly unpredictable.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars

I’ve always loved trilogies—I think three books is the perfect length for a series to dive deep into a couple’s journey without dragging things out. The Silver Spoon series by Nicole French delivered exactly that: a slow-burn, emotional rollercoaster with just the right amount of drama, angst, and heart.

Francesca and Xavier’s story is messy, passionate, and full of real-world complications like addiction, privilege, forgiveness, and self-worth. I loved how Francesca stayed true to herself and how Xavier had to grow into the man she deserved. Their chemistry was undeniable, and even when they frustrated me, I was fully invested in their journey.

That said, I have to admit—I enjoyed Nicole’s Bad Idea trilogy just a little more. There was something about that story and couple that hit even harder for me. But Silver Spoon was still really good, and it’s definitely earned a spot on my reread list.

If you’re into emotional, character-driven love stories with a rich, layered plot and a satisfying arc, this series is well worth the read.

PERFECT ENDING TO THEIR STORY!

This conclusion to Xavier and Frankie's story is one I have been anxiously awaiting! With the bombshell of Frankie's pregnancy after all the betrayal and cruelty she suffered at the end of the last book, I was on pins and needles to find out what these two would do next!

Frankie broke my heart. Being pregnant and then feeling all the rejection she had been subjected to, I totally empathize with her. Xavier had a lot of groveling to do, and I was in the front seat to see him do right by Frankie, Sofia, and little no name. Dealing with creepy stalkers, mysterious letters, overzealous Zolas and paparazzi, and kidnappers, this Fated Couple stick together and overcome. Maybe things don't always happen in traditional order, but Frankie and Xavier have never been traditional!

This wonderful book has the perfect ending and the Bonus Epilogue will answer your biggest question! Blue or Pink? Excited to read Joni's story next!

This book is brilliant 💕
We continue the story from the previous book seamlessly and we find out how the Ces and Xavier deal with the new challenges thrown their way. I was happy to see that both characters made an effort to solve their personal issues so that their chances of HEA increase. I loved the interactions between the entire family and the warmth it created in my heart.
This is a story of struggles, of discoveries, of families, of compromise and of LOVE in so many forms. The story has a few suspenseful moments, and a lot of plot twists and characters with more on their agenda than you would think, and all that just amplified the connection between Ces and Xavi.
I couldn't put the book down and I devoured it in one setting. I needed to see what happens next.
I have to mention the immense talent Nicole has, her artistry in creating the intricate canvas of this book and series is amazing! Brilliant writer! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
I highly highly recommend this book!

This is the final book in the Silver Spoon trilogy and it was packed with family drama and personal growth. It had everything and was the perfect ending. I think this might be a third chance romance?? lol Frankie and Xavier have had the worst time.

In this book Frankie is back in the states dealing with her pregnancy, the damage done by Xavier's family as well as her family and his perceived betrayal. Xavier misses her with everything he has and realizes he must make some changes and deal with his family, title and temper once and for all. But is that all there is to the story? NO IT IS NOT! There is suspense, smexy times, secrets and oh lets not forget - Frigging Henry! Lol

I adored this entire trilogy. These two are the very definition of opposites attract. The growth between the two of them both together and individually is beautiful to see. Nicole's writing brings so much to the page you feel everything the characters go through.

A must read!!!

Last Comes Fate is an enjoyable ending to the Silver Spoon series by Nicole French. Left with a cliffhanger in book #2, Then Comes Lies, readers will find the story entertaining as it leaves one with a happy nod to successfully ending the story.

I will say both of the main characters, Xavier & Francesca, have some series baggage to unpack. While the story flows through the rebuilding of their relationship, we see Xavier getting the help and guidance he needs to improve. Francesca, while happy he is improving, needs to step it up and get some help as well. She seemed to be the character lacking in this story. I would have liked to see her get some help & guidance for her own issues.

Drama, stress, family shenanigans, and all the wordplay that Nicole French is so good at creating makes this an enjoyable series. Looking forward to a bonus with the birth of the babe and on to the next sister's story! @theoriginialmrsp

WOWZA!!! Last Comes Fate was in all ways of perfection!! Nicole French really knows how to pack a punch of surprises and then some. I loved these characters whole heartedly that I am sad that our journey for these two comes to an end - well some what. We have another book in this series coming soon with some new faces - I can’t wait! I just hope we get to hear from Xavier and Francesca again.

This story was emotionally explosive. I could not tear myself away from these pages. Sofia is still a great kid and her love for her father goes unnoticed. You just love this little family and then some.

Last Comes Fate is a perfect ending for Xavie and Ces - You love to love these two and expect our grump to be a little rough, but only when it counts ;) #2023BookRec

I was so bored reading this book. I cannot understand why this series was made into a trilogy when it had barely enough material to be a duet. The same ‘will they, won’t they’ saga continues into the third book. The series begins with Francesca meeting Xavier who is from the UK and dating him for a few months. He is gone by the time she realises that she is pregnant. Five years later she meets and at a party and he comes to know that he has a daughter. Over the next two books they keep hooking up and breaking up. I was so irritated by Francesca who was so whiny all the time. Her internal monologues were so annoying. She kept wondering what the rich, handsome and sophisticated Xavier saw in her and I asked myself the same question. She was not interesting, was ordinary looking and had zero personality. At one point of the book I skipped around 15 pages and then realised that I hadn’t missed any of the story. I skimmed through the rest of the book and managed to finish it.

The beginning of the book felt very slow but I started liking it after 40% in. Xavier didn't understand where he went wrong at first but I liked the fact that he was more rational and calm in this one. The last half was very enjoyable and it was nice to see Xavier stand up for Frankie after all that happened in the last book. But I hated the fact that Sohpie was given so much less space in this book. I missed her adorable talks. Overall, I enjoyed this book much more than the previous ones. And I could definitely feel the chemistry between Xavier & Frankie and I also really liked how her sisters and brother cared for her and had her back. Still, I wish Xavier would've groveled because he did not understand Frankie and the turmoil he put her through was very emotionally wrecking. If there was a good grovel in this book, maybe I would've loved the trilogy but unfortunately that was not the case.

After reading the first 2 books, I never thought there was any way that the author could redeem Xavier, but I was wrong. The main hero was a rude mean heartless prick for most of the series but her learned what it meant to fall in love, have a family, and have people care about him.
Frankie, the heroine, was also very hard to like in the first two books of the series. She lacked a lick of confidence and always thought the wrong things. She felt that she was unattractive, weak, and there was no way that a man like Xavier could love her. That's the way she felt and it affected everything she did. In this final book, she finally grew some balls and stood up for herself.
It was so good to finally see what their family could become when the love that they had was allowed to flourish and what could happen when they worked together.

Total dramarama. This book is full of drama. Family drama and I love family drama.

Last Comes Fate features drama, twist, turns, miscommunication, mischief, intrigue, second chance romance and babies.

Despite not reading the previous books in this series, I could not help but fall in love with the characters.

I enjoyed reading Ces and Xavier’s final journey to their HEA. I loved how this final book brings the past and the present together. You will not feel like you have missed out on anything even though it will be worth your time reading the previous books.

I loved how Xavier stood his ground and fought for Ces and his family.

If you love miscommunication, second chance romance then you will love this.

I received an advanced copy and the review is entirely mine.

With a daughter depending on her and another child on the way Frankie must push aside her feelings for Xavier and do what she believes if best for those who depend on her. That means returning home and leaving him and the toxic environment he brought her into behind.

Xavier may have been distracted from who truly mattered with all the drama he was experiencing but once Frankie and Sofia are gone, he realizes what truly matters. He is determined to reclaim his family and isn’t about to let anyone or anything stand in his way.

I enjoyed seeing the strength and resilience of Frankie as well as seeing Xavier become the man that she and their children can count on to love and be there for them through all the challenges they must overcome.

An amazing end to an amazing series! Xavi and Frankie finally realize what matters most in their lives and decide to choose each other no matter what comes their way. Frankie initially accepts Xavier’s help when an unknown threat is directed at her after they reunite union the news of her second pregnancy. At first she allows him to stay for the sake of their daughter and future child but the more time they spend together …the more they realize that they are truly fated for each other. Once they decide to choose love despite their deferences and their own childhood difficulties they are finally able to overcome their enemies and threats and have the family life they deserve. It’s a fair tale story with a real life love scenario. I highly recommend this series!

Frankie, Xavier, Sofia, and the rest of the Zola's are back and boy does this book pack one heck of an emotional punch. Frankie back home and tryomg to figure things out. Xavier followed her after he finds out she is pregnant. With each page a new twist emerges. These two have a fire that can't be put out, but what she needs from him is more than what he has given her. With letters coming and the Dukedom under scrutiny will they get what they both need? Will he be able to understand what she needs? Will she let him back in? This book has the right amount of everything. Action, family drama, a whole lot of steam, twist, turns and so much more. Amazing read and I can't wait for what she has next.

Oh, man! I still want more from these two!

When was the last time a book kept me up all night? I just adore a lot of things from this series! The groveling and the grand gesture was on point. Even the familial dynamics is *chef's kiss.* The hero is an adorable beast, and the heroine is enviable and relatable in equal measure. I just love it when she has this tendency to be in her own bubble (because I can be like that, too in more ways than one!).

Thank goodness for the prequel novella I found in an anthology and the extended epilogue from the author's website. I can't wait for Joni's story and I wish that Marie will have one of her own soon, as well! I am definitely looking forward to reading more books written by this author!

Last Comes Fate is my favorite in the series. We see the main characters grow emotionally. A lot of of surprises but definitely a very happy ending, the one Xavier and Frankie deserve.

I love Xavier, he's very close there to Matthew and Nico in my heart. He decided to get his fanily back and like a man in a missi9n he didn't rest until he got them. I must say though I missed Sofia this time, she doesn't come up as much, but as usual all the secondary characters are just as awesome, specially my namesake Els ❤️

Here are my favorite lines by Xavier:

“But me and them fancy heroes, we got one thing in common. They never give up the chase, babe, and neither will I. I will come for you, and I will burn for you, and I will wait for you for the rest of my days if I have to. Because, Francesca Zola, we were created to love each other. I don’t know much, but I know that. I’ll always know that.”

“Love can’t burn this hot only to flame out in a single night. I don’t know much, but I do know that. Just like I know that I have loved you since the day I saw you in that bloody pub. I know that we are a family, whether you want to fight it or not. I know we belong together, no matter what anyone else says. And I know, without a shadow of a doubt, in the very depths of my soul, that we are far from over.”

Last Comes Fate is the final instalment in the Silver Spoon Trilogy and it’s an amazing ending to what has been a wonderful series.

The story follows on from what was a great cliffhanger in the second book. We see Frankie putting her family first, even though she is more in love with Xavier than ever, she needs to protect Sofia and there unborn child from the viciousness she has received when she was in Kendal.

However, Xavier is left in a place that should be home but it isn’t without Francesca and their children. After finally coming to this realisation he sets out to prove to them and himself that he is worthy of them and their love and trust in him.

Throughout the series we have seen Xavier struggle with putting his priorities in order and through this third book we see Xavier become the man that he needs to be not just for himself but for his family too.

I always look forward to reading Nicole’s books and this series did not disappoint. You get so much in the story; suspense, intrigue, heartbreak but a HEA that melts your heart.
