Erebus & Myles never expected to find their mates. Witches don't have them, and it's been over a hundred years since a demon has found theirs. But the moment Erebus lays eyes on Myles he knows, he is meant to be his.

Just as they are starting to explore the bond between them, attempts to steal Erebus’s collection of dark objects threaten their relationship and their lives.

Because if the wrong people get their hands-on Erebus’s collection, it is more than just their budding relationship at risk.

Den of Corruption is a paranormal romance about two men falling in love. It is the second in The Den series, which will follow a new couple in every book. It can be read as a standalone though characters will make appearances in later books, so they are best read in order. Overall Opinion
This was my first book by this author but definitely won't be my last! It was crazy spicy, but also had great plot depth that had me hooked the entire time! Myles is a demon and Erebus is a witch, both are completely different from one another, but balance each other perfectly. The chemistry between them was instant and combustible, but the love between them was full and unconditional. Overall the writing style was impeccable and flowed in a manor that had me so hooked I couldn't put the book down!

Read if you like:
❣️ MM Romance
❣️ Paranormal
❣️ Witch/Demon
❣️ Fated Mates
❣️ All The Spice
❣️ HEA

Trigger and Content Warnings: BDSM elements (that include and are not limited to: sensory play, bondage, blood play, paddling, pain play, needle play, edging, tail play, marking), violence

I loved it. Alot of hurt/comfort on both parties and communication, especially Erebus and willing to do/not do in order to make Myles feel more comfortable. A lot of support from the fellow guardians. I also lived to comedy thrown in and especially the trusting between the characters in the bedroom (use of safewords). Looking forward to more in the series.

Den of Corruption is the second book in The Den series. This can be read as a standalone, however characters from previous books make an appearance and it's best to read the first book. Can I say, I am soooo hooked on this series!! Myles and Erebus may be complete opposites, but damn do they balance each other out. There was soooo much development within the plot, amazing chemistry and development between the characters. It was wonderfully written. If you are a fan of MM, hurt/comfort, fated mates, PNR, spice, and a HEA, then this series is for you

The story was actually good BUT way too much sex…
Insta love is ok, but I did not feel the connection between the two like in the first book. Maybe the bonding happened too fast 🤷🏻‍♀️

In any way the intrigue was not bad and was captivating ~ I’m just sad I had to scroll half of the book because I was more into knowing what happened than knowing how they fuck 🤭

”He’s my everything. If he dies… there’s nothing left in this world for me. I’ll join him in the after.” - Erebus

Warnings: Full list can be found at the beginning of the book. Recommend reading. On page recount of sexual assault on minor by adult. Chapter 14

Main Character Information:
Erebus: Witch, white and blue hair, blue eyes, strong, knows what he wants, loves to care for Myles
Myles: Demon, purple curly hair and eyes, small for a demon, sweet, anxious and gets overstimulated with too much stimuli.

My Ratings:
Spice: 4/5, SUPER frequent
Angst/Stress: 2.5/5, not between MCs
Fluff: 2/5
Structure/Format/Flow: 5/5
Overall: 4/5

Intimate/Spicy Moments Include:

Stuff I Want To Mention:
- 75% smut, 15% plot, 10% intimacy.
- Starts towards the end of book 1.
- I kept going back and forth on my feelings/trust regarding Dylex. In the end, Do I think he could be redeemed if he had his own story? Eh, yeah, I’m gonna say yes.
- I love how Erebus got Myles a collar and then
- Chapter 14 and 19 were sad chapters to read.
- Love how Boaz recognized Myles’ needs at the beginning of Chapter 28, and even apologized. Boaz is definitely the take charge type and having Foster probably helps keep these instincts working at all times.
- Epilogue would have been a good idea for the start of a book for .

Mentioned Side Characters:
Casper:
Boaz:
Foster:
Calix:
Dylex:
Raven:
Hartlee:
Dextor:
Bowie:
Zero:
Milho:

It can be safely assumed all of my reviews are from books that are 1st Person, have a HEA, and have no intimate or spicy scenes with anyone/thing other than MC(s). I try to rate books objectively if they have something I don’t typically like (i.e. Break Ups, SA, 3rd Person, Single POV, Sharing Partners). If it’s still written well the author deserves the praise but I will make note to avoid for myself in the future. I do my best to mark different triggers/warnings as well as the intimate acts performed in case anything listed/done might not be something you would want to read. If M/M, Age Play, Interspecies, Insta Love, Erotica, MPreg, or Incest are something you actively avoid, you are probably better off avoiding most of the books I review.

DNF: Something off, couldn’t finish because of it.
1 Star: No, thanks. Something super wrong.
2 Stars: Oh that was something but it was not something for me.
3 Stars: Decent, some things didn’t sit or read right but it was worth the effort.
4 Stars: Really enjoyed it, might read again even.
5 Stars: Super duper enjoyed, written well and read well.

I wanted so badly to like this, not least because Erebor is a delightful study in contrasts, but it was all over the place. Here's a D/s pain kink--no, wait, here's a plot line about betrayal--no, wait, here's some magic backstory--no, wait, here's a found family moment--no, wait, here's a kidnapping attempt that is over almost on the same page it starts--no, wait, here's a new character who is clearly just dropped in to be a protagonist in a later book--no, wait, here's some more sex--no, wait, here's some more sex--no, wait, here's some more sex.

Seriously, sex was the answer to every single emotion in this book. Angry? Sex. Grieving? Sex. Elated? Sex. Confused? Sex. I'm all for porn in my plot, trust me, but there comes a point where the characters are flat because they don't relate in any other way. I never bought Myles/Erebor because there wasn't a Myles/Erebor to buy, there was just a lot of sex scenes loosely tied together by a half-finished plotline.

(Also, lots of typos, especially around commas. Made clarity difficult.)

This could have been super cool and I hope we get a Dylex story down the line because he has so much to unpack, but the characters and narratives just got drowned by "we need to bang every two pages or the book falls apart." Even the unlocking of Erebor's Tragic Backstory--which is hella tragic and important to his development--gets immediately swept under by sex. I'm not sure how Cole managed to make romance *too* sex-filled, but this is. I'm sad because Erebor (and Myles, I suppose, but I <3 Erebor who deserves his full name and not the awful "Ere" that Myles gives him) could have had a much better story. The family that the guardians are becoming could have had a much better story. Even the villains could have had a much better story, considering how short the boss battle was. Lot of promise here. None of the delivery. Too much corruption, perhaps.

I thought I loved Boaz, Calix and Foster relationship. Now I find myself equally in love with Erebus and Myles.

I enjoy the way the author incorporates past hurt and trauma and write a compelling love story of the beings affected by those traumas and the love they find to help overcome the trauma and hurt.

This story was no different. Erebus and Myles had an instant attraction and bond upon first sight. Erebus is a witch with shop that sells magical items, a shop where he has collected artifacts that are linked to dark magic that he destroys.

Myles is one of Boaz's demon soldiers who is very introverted and shy. He h8tes anything loud and doesn't do well in social settings. Being under 6'0 he takes jabs at her height as a personal offense until the day he met his mate.

Erebus and Myles relationship was steamy but it wasn't rushed. Although Erebus was an experienced Dom, he was tender and patient with Myles who was inexperienced. Erebus and Myles balanced each other out. Where Myles was insecure, Erebus built him up. Where Erebus felt the lure of dark magic rise within in him Myles was there to calm the beast.

When some dark magic artifacts are stolen from Erebus' shop, it is a race against time to find them before the thief can harness their power. Unbeknownst to Erebus, his past is catching up to him and the person behind the theft is h3llbent on destroying his and Myles' relationship because they want Erebus for themselves.

Journey with Erebus and Myles as they let their bond grow and fight against unforseen obstacles in an effort to find the stolen artifacts as well as fight for the love and HEA they both desperately seek.

"Den of Corruption" is the second standalone in the interconnected "The Den" series, and it was quite fun to jump into this world again. Before this series I've never read all male romance before, I only knew MM when there was at least one female involved, but I'm truly enjoying this series. The author managed to surprise me with some plot twists this time, which is definitely an accomplishment, knowing that at least fifty percent of this book is spice :-D.

Myles is not what you would expect from a demon, but that's precisely what makes him so endearing to me. He struggles with self confidence, and it's awesome to see how his confidence grows thanks to his new mate. There is a lot of healing involved in their blooming relationship, and the author manages to show that in a really beautiful way.

I'm looking forward to see more books in this series, but if there is one character I have to pick out whose book I really want to read, then I'll say Dextor. I love all the scenes where he pops up, and I hope his book will be written in the future.

Den of Corruption is the second book in The Den series, a paranormal romance series full of delightful demons, witches, and other magical creatures. This book could be read as a standalone, but I thought it was much more enjoyable after reading the first book. There is character development and backgrounds that happened in the first book.

Erebus and Myles are fated mates – a trope that I absolutely adore – and of course, it was love at first sight…and smell. I really liked how Myles and Erebus balanced each other out. Erebus is a caring Dom which was extremely important for shy Myles. Watching Myles grow and develop was awesome – I liked seeing his confidence just bloom and it worked so well in the romance. The missing artifact plot line was interesting and I liked the drama it brought to the book. Overall, this was a great sequel to The Den series and it makes me excited for the next book.

I think it's possible to read this one without having any knowledge of the first, but the characters do overlap quite a bit. This was paced pretty well and always felt like it was moving forward. I thought Myles and Erebus were interesting characters and while they do have an instalove/lust connection, they did take some time to get to know each other once bonded. There's a few twists. Nothing that I thought was terribly over the top but made the story enjoyable. I will say that there is quite a bit of spicy times. It was almost to the point where I wish it was implied in order for event to continue moving, but they're pretty well done so I wasn't too mad either. I am interested in the other demons who work with Myles and can't wait to see who's up next and how their story will play out!

Love At First Sight

Juniper Cole’s second book in her The Den series has hit another fabulous high. The two main characters, Erebus, a witch and Myles, a demon, had an instant connection at first sight. I love this author’s writing because she brings unexpected elements to the story. Myles is an introvert that can’t stand loud noises (that’s something you wouldn’t except from a demon right?) Erebus collects objects with dark magic and destroys them plus he’s a Dom. Even though they’re opposites they compliment each other. This book was so riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. I can’t wait to see what this author has planned next. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

This book was soooo good! I loved the dynamic between these two characters. Myles is a demon with sensory issues and loud noises or big crowds and tends to keep to himself mostly. But when one of Boaz's mate's Foster is taken they must enlist the help of a witch to get him back. Erebus is a witch who handles dark magic and when he is tasked with helping the demons he comes face to face with his mate. I loved the spiciness of these two, it was off the charts and the backstory was great. I don't want to give too much away! I cannot wait for the next book with Casper and Egan!

This is the second book in The Den series and follows Myles and Erebus.
We met Erebus in the first book when he helped Calix and Boaz find Foster and we get the backstory about how the dangerous magical weapons were taken from Erebus's magic shop.
This story shows the trauma that both characters have gone through and the instant connection these 2 have with each other.
We see how Myles is there for his mate while he deals with family drama and how they work together to overcome so many obstacles to have their own HEA.
I can't wait to read the book and see which couple this one shows.

Myles and Erebus are so sweet together and adorable. I loved them in the previous book and I still love them so much in this one. Myles has some sensory issues and I loved the way Erebus helped him through that. It was great to see the flaws and relationships shop developing between these characters. I loved the story so much. There’s some BDSM which worked well with these characters. And there’s also some twists which were entertaining. I definitely want more of this world and these characters! This is definitely a great Mm romance and I couldn’t get enough of it.

Apart from some slip-ups and excessive sex on the pages, the book is good. But I found it weaker than the first. I don't like it when authors, in general, underestimate readers, throwing such empty, meaningless or stupidly naive situations at characters that it makes certain parts ridiculous.

The couple has chemistry, the two of them together are hot. Not to mention that they leave the dominant alpha male stereotype for a more delicate, feminine and dominant character.

It repeats itself every few moments. Erebus had already seen Foster's cat at the beginning, but towards the end, he sees the cat again with Foster and is surprised as he was the first time, as if he had never seen the cat.

OMG this book was everything I needed it to be after book 1! I do recommend you read them in order to get full enjoyment as book 2 while focusing mainly on a different couple, does continue where we left off in book 1. I did not know that you could get that many sexy times in one book and still have a plot and develop a deep and caring relationship within the book! I don't give plots away so will end with *read this book!" You will NOT regret it!

This is the second book in the interconnected standalone series The Den. It is MM, insta-love, fated mates, super spicy, dark paranormal/supernatural romance with a HEA. I love that although the story centres around Myles and Erebus, we still get glimpses of the previous characters. The spice is yummy and plentiful and there is a really good storyline too. As this is a dark romance please check the TW before reading.

Really enjoyed it

Den of corruption is a supernatural MM Romance. Erebus (dark Witch) and Myles (Demon and tech wiz)meet during Den of Escape book 1. when Erebus helps locate Foster using his Magic Fated mates are rare but a Demons Fated Mate is rarer. Contains some BDSM. Myles has some sensory issues and Ere helps calm him. This pulls you in with a brilliant plot with twists and turns along the way. I can not wait for more !

This couple fit so well together with barely any effort. They were exactly what the other needed. I loved that they communicated in the bedroom and outside the bedroom without drama or misunderstandings. There were so supportive of each other. The plot of this was good but a little bit predictable. No biggie because it was still enjoyable to read. I did skim a little on some of the many sex scenes. But again no biggie to me.

Man this instalment hooked me from the first page. Erebus and Myles both truly see the other. They see what no one else does, and that was beautiful to read. The continuing plot dragged me in. It's nice to see some familiar faces in this instalment. The emotions and chemistry were on point. I cannot wait to see just what's coming next!

Myles and Erebus burn up the page! So hot. But don't worry it's not all just smexy stuff. The tenderness that they show for each other and the need to protect each other is very sweet.
This was lots of fun to read and I cannot wait to learn more about the other demons. Looking forward to Zero and Casper's stories.

Erebus and Myles are absolutely the most amazing, perfect, cute couple ever! They perfectly compliment each other, each helping the other with past traumas and various anxieties. On top of that, the book gives us lots of magic and action - not to mention lots and lots of seggsy time.
Definitely a great follow-up to book 1, and I can't wait to read book 3!

Another hot read from Juniper! While I adored the relationship all the men had in book 1, Myles and Ere’s story was just as good! Loved how natural the dom/sub roles felt. This world that the author created is SO good and I seriously can’t wait for more. She is an extremely talented MM writer and anyone who loves that trope will be sure to love this standalone but interconnected series!

Erebus and Myles are just so perfect for each other. They seem to be completely attuned to each other from day one of their relationship. They also are so supportive of each other. In addition, the steam level of this story is off the charts and contains lots of tail action. If you like M/M romance that also is paranormal you should read this book.

This was hot! 🥵
While Boaz, Calix, and Foster (from book 1) are still my favorite.
I LOVED Myles and Ere’s story!
Watching them work together was amazing! The Dom/Sub roles they naturally fall into was amazing!
Also it was so exciting to see things that happened in book 1 from Myles and Ere’s perspective!

I'm obsessed and in love with the world that Juniper Cole has given us, and these characters that have so much more depth then what you may first think! She is a talented MM writer (IMO) and I love the emotions she brings out in her characters, the way consent is important for all parties, and the way they interact with each other and others. Her men are possessive of each other (which GIVE ME MORE PLEASE) but they don't stiffle each other which is amazing!

Pretty good addition to this series. I love the chibi depictions of these characters and wish I could watch an animated movie of this book (and the previous one).

Highly recommend if you like these tropes.
